Hostinger's website templates are a game changer ! I myself am a Wordpress girl, through and through, but my viewers loved the one page templates and set up with the builder there... How does external ad monetization trend forward when an increasing number of people have ad blocker by default in their browser? I do not see any ads on your site with a standard Opera browser. Same with TH-cam where I use Premium.
Maybe there's a more intimate travel insight with the blog since TH-cam has a TON of travel videos (especially a lot of silly fast paced ones) that blog posts can balance out with greater depth. TikTok alone beckons for a shift back to greater blog culture. Narratives and politics infected extreme bias into most of mainstream journalism too, blogs can be the sanctuary of letting readers form their own opinions again.
I have years of travel photos in my archive but otherwise I am starting my travel blog from scratch. Is it even worth starting social media handles or could I make a business only focusing on the website? And how do you approach the balance between over sharing your personal life with your travel videos? For example, to have a camera out constantly every time I do anything while traveling feels too much... i guess that's just the way of the business?

Well for the website you need to follow SEO rules in order to be seen so it has its own algorithm !
