    Allison I have to thank you a lot, because thanks to a sentence you said once in a video, I started travelling alone.
    The quote was "do you prefer to go there by yourself, or to never go ?"
    It was eye opening for me and since then I'm not waiting any longer for people to be available to go places, I just go, and it's nice ! ;-)

    The time/money chicken and egg scenario is literally how I feel everyday about building a business. Not even just traveling. Spot on.

    We’ve found people react quite well to our local travel content. It typically does as well as our longer and more expensive trips. Wherever you live is foreign and exotic to someone.

    I remember watching your makeup content in middle/high school, and re-following you about a year ago. I am so glad I did! What you said is SO true; as someone who married young, I feel like I missed out on living alone and want to explore my own independence. So thanks for being there for me in my pre-teens and my adulthood :)

    I'm only just watching this from my Watch Later, but your use of music in this is so exquisitely done. I don't think some people know how hard it is to blend and balance that with the tone and vocal levels. You're a TH-cam GOAT IMO.

    I have you to thank for inspiring me to start my own channel as a female traveller. Before seeing your videos, It didn’t occur to me that I could travel on my own and do little trips without my husband. It’s been just under a year that I’ve been learning editing with Premiere Pro and slowly growing my channel. Things have now morphed from me being a solo female/married traveller to some solo trips but many more couple escapes now that my husband has retired one month ago. So once again you’ve helped me because I can see that my niche is actually changing. Thank you for being such an inspiration and for giving me a passion again. I love filming, learning, adventures, travel and showing older women that they too could travel alone and/or with their partners.

    Like your videos so much! You are so unpretentious and authentic and it makes you very relatable. I plan on soon starting my own channel that will include traveling as well as life in the mountains as an older (young at heart) single woman. Side note: last June I wanted to go to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and your video got me on my way-even used a portion of your itinerary. Loved it!!

    Thank you so much for this video! I have wanted to try to create some travel content for a while but am not able to travel more than once a year. The idea of something near me being new to someone else is something I never thought too much about. This has been the push to start filming travel content around me, thanks. 💖

    I've seen very little on that dilemma specifically and, although the things you said seemed obvious once you discussed them, I took a lot away from the video about how to actually Kickstart a new way of living.

    Great video, especially about the 'it doesn't have to be far' thing, I have certainly learned that during the pandemic when I was doing roadtrips all the time to nearby places. My personal issue is more the time thing, it takes me a lot of time to even just decide what pictures to post on IG so I end up just posting everything in stories and my actual feed is almost untouched for months and months which is ridiculous I know.. and I would love to try out reels to share some of my travels as well but just haven't taken the time yet to do so as there are always other more important things to be done.. if you have any tips on that, I would appreciate it

      I agree. Going on Google to search for 5 top beaches and then using stock videos to make a post? That’s recycling other people’s work. I get using stock photos sometimes and researching other blogs for support, but creating a whole post like that is not the kind of content a new creator should make. It’s not way to get your audience to trust you because you’re writing about things you haven’t experienced yourself.

    • @jamellalee1649
      @jamellalee1649 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say the whole point of using stock photos is to visualise your research just because I use a photo about the place doesn't mean I haven't done my own research whether online or asking locals. You do the research and make it easy to understand and access. That's the whole point. "I did it so, you didn't have to"
