    The last one min of the video literally had me in tears, especially considering the situation with chatgpt, Project Magi and other AI coming in. I was literally about to quit and was feeling completely down and low. I was terrified to be honest on how things are going to be in the future. But words and encouragement like these are much needed, even if not everyone who watches this video, needed those, someone like me putting in all the efforts and almost in the verge of giving up bcoz of the AI hype and stuff, it is so much needed and u r a saviour thanks bud!

    Hi Ricky!
    I would love to know if you would suggest someone to start a blog website on a topic that doesn't have much demand right now, but it is highly likely to grow in the coming years. I say "much demand" based on available keywords and search traffic. But Google Trends as well as market analysis tell me that related search queries are growing gradually.
    What would you do in this case?

    Thank you Ricky. Great video. Your energy and optimism is truly appreciated and extremely motivational which is highly needed these days with all FUD on many levels on a global scale. I"m a student at your school and loved the video. Do you think that with the explosion of AI generated content and people cranking out so much (30 blogpost in a day) would the speed of cranknig out content have to change to get to that 100-500 posts? I hpoe the question makes sense.

    • @jollyjames30
      @jollyjames30 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think Google would probably penalize any site that's cranking out 30 blog posts per day LOL
      Content that's just spun and regenerated by AI and published by the hundreds isn't exactly what Google is looking for. For most big blogs, including professional company blogs like the big banking sites, half of the content doesn't even rank. Much of the content just flounders in a wasteland getting zero views. Around 1/3 of blog posts are going to rank and gain views while most everything else won't. I saw this from the deep analysis I did on over 500 different blogs. So it's better to focus on creating good, lengthy, informational blog posts. The type of post that won't cause a visitor to click out and go elsewhere to find the answers they're looking for. Basically a blog with thousands and thousands of blog posts won't get any further ahead than a blog with a few hundred blog posts. Focus on quality and keeping the user on your site.

    • @oscarsh2909
      @oscarsh2909 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oscarsh2909 lengthy is better than short. The sweet spot is between 1,200 to 2,000 words. But the algorithms are complex so there's no concrete proof of what the ideal length is. But from what I've seen, lengthy articles (1000+ words) beats short articles (500 words) almost all the time.

I've seen monstrous media sites with hundreds of thousands of backlinks and huge domain authority and with a massive team of professional writers get outranked for various big keywords by tiny competitor sites run out of peoples' bedrooms LOL
      That's the interesting and fascinating thing about the internet. Just because you're a big company doesn't mean a smaller blogger can't simply jump in and take his or her piece of the pie.

    I would only use at the max, 2.5 years for potential earnings. 30 months is kind of the industry standard average for potential future earnings, and with all the uncertainty and increasing competition from AI and AI in the search results and inside of Windows, I wouldn’t want to go beyond that number.
    I’ve also noticed that with the Google updates, it seems to be growing these larger established sites, so they earn more, but it seems to hit smaller or newer sites, making it harder to get started and gain entry. Just what I’ve been noticing from others 😋

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Okay, so $59 per hour… plus you still have the blog at the end of 2.5 years and even if earnings decrease, it’ll still be worth something.
      And you can always battleship those posts, add a few more, and then the earrings don’t drop.
      Or add an info product and make more like $250 an hour…

    I would love to meet these people getting 68K page views a month and getting 36-37$ per thousand. I've been doing this 4 years, with decent/to good SEO, and I'm getting 2-3$ per 1,000, and I'm also getting roughly 45K per month in page views. (With 600+ articles.)
    I feel like this data is a bit skewed, because a) people are more likely to announce better, b) its like studies of 'size', you are going to get more on the HIGH or LARGE end of the spectrum responding than the lower end, c) I think people round up a bit, and d) its also a self-filled out survey, so who knows if its 100% done in good faith as well.

It's a luck if you have expertise in those high valued niche). And of course, try to target the US.

      @@stockmeat I get that there's outliers, not saying NOBODY is making the money they get. But I find the idea of it being the "average" is a bit wrong. Maybe "median" is closer to the truth than "average"? Because I have to imagine if you really asked the masses (like ALL bloggers), the average would be closer to 0$ but the median still bumps up closer to 10-15$.
      It also depends on a TON of factors. Niches, demographics, content, SEO prevalence, writing ability, markets, social media, countries, etc.
      For example, my niche is Craft Beer. American craft beer to be exact. Its not a HUGE niche as far as blogging goes, but its also a pretty hyper-specialized niche that has a few "BIG NAME" blogs/pages, and then nothing else. And people don't really seem to do a lot of traveling to other sites other than those big blog/site pages. And thats where building a community gets important, but unfortunately, that community is going to be relatively small (as communities always are), and less likely to KEEP buying from affiliates, etc.
      I feel sometimes like videos like this and blog ideas like this take the "writing out of it", and while its not AI generated content, if all of your content is so geared towards SEO and keyword and making money, it becomes in a way and fashion a commercialized product, and not just true writing. Its like Human AI generated in a weird way if that makes any sense.
      I also think this video really should use the term "median" instead of "average". It would be interesting to see a comparison between the two, but then of course, the problem is still 1) self reporting, and 2) how big of a demographic and market sample size are we using for the statistics and information here. (I would have liked to have seen some transparency on the statistics, like total number of sites, age of sites, amount of content, and a lot of the other variables listed, given to us as viewers.)

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Mean and median give me about the same results.
      I acknowledge that fewer people who earn very little money from their blog are likely to report. That said, there’s no benefit to anyone here to report higher numbers than what’s true.
      I’m sure that if I could get more people who earn $0 to report, the numbers would decrease (obviously) but purposely selling out low income earners would literally be deliberate skewing of the data.
      The Bureau of Labor Statistics literally relies on self reporting to understand how our workforce is doing, yet they trust the data.
      It’s easy to look at a video like this and say “The data is wrong” or “this doesn’t apply to me or my niche”. A more productive perspective would be to look at it and say “what’s preventing me from getting those numbers that SO many others are getting?” And then get after it.

    Hi, great video, I have one question, is it possible to make money as a blogger when English is not my first language? I’ve worked in the language industry for the last few years, translating English texts into my native language (I am from a central European country). I’ve also done translations in the other direction (into English) occasionally (although this is discouraged as one should focus on translating primarily into his/her first language). I’ve studied English for the last 20 years, and they say I am proficient in English (C2 level of proficiency), but even so I don’t feel like being able to express myself as aptly and naturally as in my mother tongue. Provided I send the texts to an English-native editor prior to publishing, do you think it’s a good idea for an ESL (English as a Second Language) speaker to give it a shot? I know I could target the domestic audience of my country, but from what I’ve heard the earnings would be much lower, so I’d like to target Americans if at all possible.

      Yeah, but ranking number 3 or 4 behind the big guys in a popular topic is far better than ranking number 1 in a topic that no one is interested in. The top 2 rankings are usually short and lacking in information because they got there on their name alone. Your item needs to be longer and more thorough to be in with a chance.

    can AI impact blogging in future? no, not for relevant information. if apple launches a new product, information available in apple website is sole knowledge base for AI, AI cannot experience and product and write a view on it, AI cant visit a place and describe how it is changes for human to human experience. AI cant impact blogging until it get ability to 'feel', which will never happen. it can give in sights but not much more than that. search engines must also work on algorithms to evade AI generated content and rank genuine content better.
