I'm half Irish Englishman and played rugby back in the 70's our club (not far from Twickenham) used to host Pontypool United RFC when Wales played England at twickenham. We as a club would play in the morning and those who had tickets would go to the game and the rest of us watched the game on TV. We had a drink and great laugh with the Welsh and in the evening they would serenade us with their Welsh Choir singning. Great memories and times. Love the Welsh singing this at the Arms Park back in the day.

Amazing! Simply amazing! The look and emotion of all the players and the crowd is so beautiful! But it is Alun Wyn Jones as he is belting out his country’s anthem shows what a humble leader and gladiator he was for Wales! This is coming from an American who has Welsh blood on both sides of his family and i am proud of it! It’s moments like this that make tears come knowing that some of my ancestors came from this incredible land!

Heard this great anthem for the first time live at old Cardiff Arms Park Terraces in Mar 87 before 5 Nations Wales v England. I still gives me goosebumps. I am German and since then I love Wales and Rugby. Saw Jonathan Davies, Ieuan Evans and all the other great ones playing live which was a lifetime experience. I became a rugby lover then. Wish Rugby would be popular in Germany as well.
😊 i was a student in Cardiff for 3 years in the mid 80s. Out shopping on a Saturday afternoon with my visiting mum, we stopped in our tracks when the Wales fans started singing at Arms Park before an international. It still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Beautiful sound.
