I was at the game and when he sang "Hymns and Arias" at Swansea City's 1st home Premier League match. He never fails to get the crowd going. "Max you are a Welsh Legend!!!"
I am German, I have never heard of Max Boyce, I am not interested in the 6 Nations and I do not even know how I got here but boy that was outstanding, I will be back!
I'm guessing that the German's are just as proud of your beautiful people who have kept their language and their ways of life just like the Welsh! The Welsh have a sense of humour that a lot of people all over the world like but don't understand ❤
@@davidevans7643 Your guess is wrong mate. Germany is a torn country and -unfortunately- the last thing most of us feel is pride. Yes, we kept our language and our way of life but this way of life doesnt make people not very happy it seems. As far as I am concerned, I left Germany 10 years ago
What I love about rugby is that my Irish husband can wear his Munsters Rugby jacket and all he will get from rugby fans from other countries is a great discussion about rugby. No hassle, no trouble, just rugby. We live in Wales and the rugby fans here are great. True fans. 👍
Ah sure you must be an old yoke , like me.... Irish married a half Welsh woman.... d mother in law took no crap ,,, and that's exactly why I loved her,,,and still wear my Welsh Jersey in Dubli
As an Englishman he used to irritate the shit out of me back in the day but hey, we all grow up and get old! God bless him, hope he lives to sing a few more years. 😊
the greatest legend of them all, he is so great, even the fans from the OTHER teams sing along and have an amazing time with him too, how many people can say, that they get the others to have fun with them also? max is the only one that i know of :) he really is, the GOAT
And I know the great Tom Jones gets most of the credit, but Max Boyce has always been such a Rock for Wales.. And growing up in London with Irish Parents,we always watched the Rugby& my Ol Man was more into the Horses, but watching the Welsh fans blast out ' Land of my Father's always grabbed his attention & he was a big fan of Max Boyce so we always watched his TV show.... And the way he Orchestrated those fans there was absolutely fantastic & breathtaking to watch
Even after listening to this a dozen times or more it still makes me laugh- especially the crowd catching the comment about Delilah before he makes it, and the joke about the linesman and his guide dog- simple but hilarious.
His concerts in the 70's really were something. Neil Lewis (R.I.P. 😢) warming the audience up and then Max bounding on with his giant leek to "Sospan Fach". Wonderful times. Good to see him and John Luce still out there 👍
Yip , I admit I hardly heard of him but the gorgeous Pamela From Edinburgh I was going out with simply worshipped him and then only then I took notice, what a very special man he is. My Pam was from the Marionville area with a superb sense of humour. How time passed so quickly I'm now not trying to find out 😂
Living legend. Had me crying with laughter and emotion at different stages, and I'm not even Welsh (though I might claim some kinship of being included in the number of Cornish speakers)
Max is as amazing as ever, the crowd, what the hell??? you were crap, the jokes were as awesome as always, but, i hate to say this, Max, as amazing as he still is, he is not looking too good, Max, love you man, thank you for your years of awesome, thank you, rest in peace buddy, have a great sleep you deserve it, love you man and thank you
Tracey Gates Hello good evening to you Guys in Cardiff Wales its very hard for Max Boyce hymns and arias for Wales, but you Max Boyce is the best Singers in Wales and Cardiff iove from Wales 🏴🏴🏴🏴🎵🎵🎵🎵💻💌🏴🏴

80 years old and still belting them out.
Wow is he really 80.
I am a massive England fan but my goodness I wish we had a Max Boyce. Legend and loved by all 6 nations. Dew it's Hard is a thing of beauty.
We do. He's called Russell Watson and for back up there's Alfie Boe and Michael Ball
@@Lily_The_Pink972 I think you misunderstood. Two fine singers but not comedians as well.
Me too x
Oh golly. Dew it's hard. That's memories. Great song.
Absolutely brilliant. The crowd were actually singing harmonies as well. Even the French fans were enjoying the singing too. Wonderful.
Brilliant as always. His sense of humour never disappoints.
Max was a star in the 70’s. We enjoyed his shows.💖🇮🇪
Love him. Never fails to make me smile.

Legend is a word used very loosely these days. It should be reserved for Max and the few worthy to be . mentioned in the same article. Slàn a mhic.
He's an absolute god in Wales ❤👏👏👏👏

The last line is sung in Welsh "Ar hyd y nôs" (phonetically "Arr heed uh Nawsse"), trans. "All through the night".
@@darkdynamic That's fantastic! Thanks, you've given me all the info I was hoping to get. Now I can join in! Thanks again.🌷
