    I rented this bike for a week in LA recently and fell in love with it. I did street riding only, tons of fun in the canyons. Figured it would be a great scrambler. So cool to see this. Just hearing that engine again brings a smile to my face, loved the brutal midrange torque. Thanks for the video.

    Still enjoying this video a lot. I will add just a technical video suggestion that you might want to try exporting with a higher bit rate, because that will give you more detail in the moving sections of the video, like on the road and trail. Of course if your camera can’t capture super high but rates then it doesn’t really matter what you export. Just a tip, in case you didn’t know. Still a tremendous video, and thanks for creating and publishing it!

    How you will compare the urban gs vs the 1250 gs for off roading???
    This is lighter but has less suspension travel, I suppose upgrading it is essential.

    • @Urkain87
      @Urkain87  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm... Good question!
      The gs is better for most Offroad, it's only when you're down to walking speed the seat hight of the Urban helps :)
      With a better suspension on the Urban tho, I think it could be very capable. Get lover footpeps and bar-risers too :)

    • @Peter-ox7wh
      @Peter-ox7wh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Urkain87 Yep.Like in the end where you have to go really slow, the 50 kg less matters, but as you said a bar raising seems essential too.
      Thx and keep it!!!

    Does the urban gs suspension have more travel than the R Nine T Pure? Or the same hardware? Great video!

    • @Urkain87
      @Urkain87  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Pure has 120/120 mm of travel, The Urban has 125/140 mm. Front/Rear. And importantly the Urban has a19" wheel instead of 17"(Pure). There are also other little differences, I recommend that you contact your local dealer for more info, and maybe even a testride. BMW shops usually have several demo-bikes.

    Waouh you really surprised me, I was thinking that the UGS has too low suspension deflection. I'd like to travel from Belgium to Morocco. Do you think it is better to travel with roads pneumatics and send the tk80 by postal pack and only use them in Morocco?

    • @Urkain87
      @Urkain87  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think you should get wilbers suspension if you are serious about Marokko offroading. Yes, put the cool tires in the mail, drive with them there, and the way back if they have any life left in them :)

    I'm considering this bike to do this type of off-roading, but I've heard that the suspension isn't suitable to go offroad. How did you feel about it?

      It's not for offroad, you can do it but you have to go slow 🙂

  • @alvarolever2448
    @alvarolever2448 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    ehmmm nice 🔥🔥🔥 another reason to get one...how does it feel the front wheel on speed? it tends to dive sidewards on curves? The TKC is more than en enough for this weight?...

    • @Urkain87
      @Urkain87  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the TKC80 it wanders all over the place on asfalt, both front and rear, that's the nature of tkc80. It's good in mud and soft terrain. The front fork does not like high-speed sharp bumps, it sort of hydrolocks, but low-speed is ok. It needs a suspension upgrade if you wanna go alot Offroad, but if you spend most of your time on asfalt it's good :)
