Junk "test" video...
Do you ride with the original Suspension?
@@zweiradnostalgie yes, stock suspension in the clip 👍
@ Thank you 😊 currently I’m thinking about getting a r nine T scrambler or urban GS as a daily bike and for travelling and riding long distances…I’m a little curious if the suspension travel is enough for riding more offroad, slightly deeper rivers, etc without bumping (don’t know how I should explain it in correct English 😬)
@zweiradnostalgie its not for offroad, but there are some nice kits on the market. Your local dealer probably has a r9t variant as a demo, i recommend testing it. I like the way the bike makes me feel when I ride it 🙂

@ okay 😁 but some „soft enduro“ works good?
Trip of a lifetime mate, awesome!
@@IronbarkMX thanks for the comment! Yes, when we where riding those open green fields and hills it was like reaching nirvana 😀
Best review yet I've seen of this bike!!
Great video and great riding. I think the tyres are Karoo 3 and they appear to work well and seemingly give you confidence in these types of conditions.
Curious to know how many years you've owned this Urban GS before you eventually sold it?
🤷♂️
If you go off road, you're eventually going to fall down. That's a tough price to pay on such a beautiful bike.
If i go beyond my limits for shure i will fall 😄
Great vid. I have 2023 model. Kentucky USA
Gracias por compartir. Saludos desde Colombia
Glorious! I just watched some pro reviewer saying this bike was a horrible off-road machine. Thanks for showing what a capable bike it is in the hands of the right rider.
😃
How do you sit down with balls that big? Impressive riding.
😄😄👍
Sin música está mejor broder
Did you pop a wheelie toward the end? Rain mode, 2nd gear?
I don't remember, but i doubt it was a wheelie, needs some help with the clutch :)
Good thing no one told you in their condescending way that the Urban GS can’t go off road. Nice job.
😄😄
Awesome riding skills!
Excelente.. se la banca muy bien a todo 🤙🏻
Awesome riding and scenery.
Nice video
Good to see someone ride rather than talk and no elevator music thank you
Nor raucous rock music.
hi, nice videos, what kind of tires you ride?
On this one it was the wobbly tkc80's :)
It’s not a real off-roader, they said. It’s a cafe racer, they said. Roar Lorentsen: “hold my beer”… 😂
hi ! nice video😀 how is the bike? can it be a one bike for all purpose... kindly let me know your suggestions. thank you 👍
Giro fantastico off road, bellissimo sporcarsi di fango così. 😀
Finally someone who goes off road on this beauty
😁😁
I'm considering this bike to do this type of off-roading, but I've heard that the suspension isn't suitable to go offroad. How did you feel about it?
It's not for offroad, you can do it but you have to go slow 🙂
Yes i watched all 13 minutes and 7 seconds. It was worth it!!
😁
nothing nicer then seeing a great rider working the magic with an awesome bike and really show its versatility with natures beauty
Thanks! The bike is very inspiring :)
@@Urkain87 just looking at one now advise please pre euro5? is best?
@@stanleylawson9015 I'd say e5, because it has ride by wire, gives more possibilities and factory options:)
@@Urkain87 still come back to this one as you do such a fantastic job
So awesome to hear, it's allways nice to inspire other riders! 😃
Looking at a UGS this month, thinking I am a crazy poseur for liking it so much. This puts all concerns to rest. Are we in Norway here?
Haha, it's both poser and riders bike. Mostly I just like how it makes me feel when I ride it :) Yes, somewhere in Trøndelag, Norway.
Great video! Can you please tell me where is the microphone placed?
I have the mic just in front of my mouth, like the placement of an intercom mic. The helhet is a Schuberth C3 Pro, so it's pretty sealed from outside windnoise
@@Urkain87 Thanks fo the reply! I also have the C3 Pro, but I can't manage to get a good exhaust sound. It is very quiet compared to what you are getting
@@HM-qf2dn well, I have an Akrapovic racing exhaust system that is obnoxiously loud, so that might be the reason
I have exact same bike, what I’m missing is your confidence, great video 👍great example of what you can do with off/on road tyres, I think mine are Mitas and their a great compromise
What is most important is that you feel good while riding your bike :) And the Urban GS is just soo coooooool!
Sometimes I like to just drag my 500 lb bike around in quick sand or deep mud rather than ride it on actual dirt roads.
😆😆👍🤔
I bought a 2021 UGS to do exactly this kind of riding....most you tubers dismiss this bike as capable and Roar Lorentsen proves the bike, in stock form, is more than capable...of course Roar is a skilled rider but this is so reassuring!!! I knew my choice was a good one! Thank you!
How do you like it for this type of riding?
Alot, it did this type of riding absolutely great! It won't do more/faster stuff than this because of suspension limitations tho.
@@Urkain87 I’ve been looking at these as a more reliable alternative to something like a Motto Guzzi V85 or an Enfield Himalayan to build out into a classic adv bike, I mostly ride gravel forest roads like what you were on. Most rides consist of about 60 miles of gravel/dirt and 140 miles of curvy tarmac. You think this would do that well?
I really like this bike , good video
Thanks, I like it too, it's just so cool :)
TH-cam compression sucks man. Great content otherwise!
Agreed, but its a good way to share and inspire anyhow :)
@@Urkain87 Yea, definitely! keep on riding!
Nice plece where is this ?
I see . fast roads is better . I know they will never be dirt bikes . but is fine
How is the susp. And handling . argos etc.
Its ok for the slow offroad. For highspeed offroading the suspension needs an uppgrade. For most riders i belive its good enough for regular speeds. And, its good on the asfalt! Its got a nice and stable handling setup. Its also low seathight, so its easy when you are going slow in the "rough stuff".
Thank you Finally somebody with some balls ridding a gs urban . thinking of getting one love the boxers . gs 1200 but too much cash . got a 06 1200 gs. Love it .
So you don't need tenere nor husqvarna, this one is also grat dirt bike :)
Yes, the limit is often not the bike 😁
Those shallow river crossings over the dam can be slippery!
Yes, this crossing was good tho. It was only on the rocks i was more carefull because thats were the higher risks were.
This is awesome finally someone who takes it off road
😃
Should have bought one when I had the chance. Great video!
Still possible, but the are getting a bit expensive lately...
@@Urkain87 Is it a big issue getting parts? Repairs, etc?
Mostly it's fine, but some parts can be tricky.
Really nice looking system and great sound. Congratulations
Great video. Thank you. I owned R9T '14, but could hardly even think about leaving asphalt. It was literally pain in the ass just to ride on bumpy paved country roads, not speaking about riding deep in the forests.. Now that is a perfect candidate for a low range holiday ride.
This is officially my dream bike, you made this thing look like so much fun.
It's an all together good bike. I've tried most of the competitors, and I liked the F850GS ADV best.
@@Urkain87Is this a GS ?
@suleymanmutlu6176 yes, F850GS
@@Urkain87Why F850GSA not a standard F850GS? GSA weighs almost 250kg
Well done, as I say the bike doesn't know what it is and will go where you want
😂 Good one, all I needed to know is that the tires are willing ;)
Crazy riding, love it!
😂
Thanks for this video, that's exactly what I was looking for. Here is very well visited capabilities and limits of the machine. With a good rider. ;)
