1st time, I had the pleasure to be invited into a families home was in Guam. I was TDY (temporary duty station) USAF... Was site seeing around the island (in an air force rented vehicle), and came across a local that was broke down. We helped him out.. and thought nothing of it. He invited us to his families "bbq". I'll never forget the warmth, hospitality, their simple lifestyle.. everything. It was a humbling and rewarding experience that I will never forget. Thanks for sharing this Amazing story Collin

Your videography and content affected me in the unique way theses atolls affect you. There are no words that can adequately describe the Tuamotus. The Tuamotus were our favorite island group sailing through the South Pacific. We spent 2 months in these atolls. They are unique in all the world. Watching you sail into the Pass made me feel all those exact thrills, emotions, and fears all over again!

So glad you had a chance to visit with friends, Colin, and to be able to repair the boat motor. That turned into quite an overhaul and luckily no new parts were needed!! Very careful work on your part to not break anything during the repair - stressful!!. The owners will be very happy to have the boat back in operation! So nice of you to help them! This brings back fond memories of sailing from Panama to New Zealand in 1998. I was crewing on a 50’ custom built New Zealand racing sloop returning to New Zealand to complete their 5-year circumnavigation. We spent a month anchored in front of the Kia Ora resort, enjoying the snorkeling, diving, swimming in the Blue Lagoon with the baby sharks and local sites and culture. We helped a Canadian 68’ custom catamaran navigate the treacherous entry into the atoll as they had hit a log and sheared off one of their Saildrives during the crossing from the Marquesas Islands, leaving only one functioning. We became good friends and later partied in Tahiti where they had a new SailDrive installed. They went on to complete their circumnavigation. May you always have fair winds and following seas. Be safe out there.
If he has a mailing address I have a close friend who is a very successful beekeeper and I would love to send him some stuff to help him get started. I’ll pay for all the shipping. Of course I’ll give money. Teach a man to keep a bee, and he’ll have honey for life! As always love what you do!

Was site seeing around the island (in an air force rented vehicle), and came across a local that was broke down. We helped him out.. and thought nothing of it.
He invited us to his families "bbq".
I'll never forget the warmth, hospitality, their simple lifestyle.. everything.
It was a humbling and rewarding experience that I will never forget.

Your videography and content affected me in the unique way theses atolls affect you. There are no words that can adequately describe the Tuamotus. The Tuamotus were our favorite island group sailing through the South Pacific. We spent 2 months in these atolls. They are unique in all the world.
Watching you sail into the Pass made me feel all those exact thrills, emotions, and fears all over again!

Thanks for the video folks!! It's an amazing story of how nature makes the final decision on many things. So glad you had a chance to visit with friends, Colin, and to be able to repair the boat motor. That turned into quite an overhaul and luckily no new parts were needed!! Very careful work on your part to not break anything during the repair - stressful!!. The owners will be very happy to have the boat back in operation! So nice of you to help them! This brings back fond memories of sailing from Panama to New Zealand in 1998. I was crewing on a 50’ custom built New Zealand racing sloop returning to New Zealand to complete their 5-year circumnavigation. We spent a month anchored in front of the Kia Ora resort, enjoying the snorkeling, diving, swimming in the Blue Lagoon with the baby sharks and local sites and culture. We helped a Canadian 68’ custom catamaran navigate the treacherous entry into the atoll as they had hit a log and sheared off one of their Saildrives during the crossing from the Marquesas Islands, leaving only one functioning. We became good friends and later partied in Tahiti where they had a new SailDrive installed. They went on to complete their circumnavigation. May you always have fair winds and following seas. Be safe out there.
