    It is 15 December, 2023. Over the last couple of days, I have watched a few videos showcasing the Core. It definitely appeals to me as somebody who presently rehearses with musicians in a remote location to where he lives. Previous modelers/multi effects unit I have used include the Line 6 Pod HD 500, Pocket Pod, Boss ME-80 and Zoom B1X-4. The only thing this unit doesn’t have that the last three possess is a battery compartment, and that is something that I could live without if I chose to buy something like this and make it my next reduced-size preamp.
    One thing I like about this model that isn’t present on any of the ones I mentioned (other than the HD 500) is the effect send. That would be great if I wanted to integrate my preferred distortion generator (the Goat Generator from Rancher) into the signal chain and not have it interfere with the wan-wah and modulation effects. Either that, or it would be great if I knew this box could emulate or profile the sound of that distortion unit.

    I am fairly new to this.. what would you recommend for a looper first but with excellent processing with various amp sounds and effects.. is this unit effective for looping practice as well?

    New to multi effects pedals. Hoping someone can help me with this question. I know the different multi effects pedals offer different bells and whistles and quality build. My question is about the tone only. Do all pedals have the same quality of 'tone'? Clean and distortion? Do all the tones mirror solid state amp tones? Its not about price just tones.

    Can you stack effects like 2 different delays and reverbs with other modulation in one chain?

      Duane McBain How about 5 delays, dual reverb, chorus, and 3 extra modulations all at once. =)

    What about spill over between presets ?
    With the Fractal FM3, the spill over between scenes is perfect but spill over between presets is awfull : 600milliseconds of gap without any spill over. It's a shame for Fractal to send products with bugs at high level price.
    So my question is : how works the spill over between scenes AND presets in the Boss GT1000 Core ? How does it work ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Love,
    Phil from Dunkirk

    I'm pretty sure Tom could make a cardboard box sound good. I'd still go w the full GT1000 for the flexibility.

      Yes you can. I’m a bass player only meaning I don’t know how to play guitar and I adore this unit. Very very bass friendly more so than other units.

    How can you switch from one tone
    preset to another while playing live?
    Are you going to turn the tone
    selector with your fingers while
    playing live? Or can you do it with your foot
    while playing live?
    Anyone?

    Between gt1000 and fractal, which has the most realistic sound and fill?

    • @bvaladez74
      @bvaladez74 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's always gonna be Fractal. It's just a different class.

    • @delusionwalker8852
      @delusionwalker8852 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bvaladez74 I don't mean to be an ass but I have to ask it straight. Do you claim this on personal experience?
      I have no expirience with either this units and based on how Tom was playing it sounds very responsive and authentic to me and if fractal is one class higher than that then I don't knit what to expect.... is it more real than real?
      To me the biggest weak point of all the modern units is the impulse response. The amps/over drives/distortions sound great but the impulse response is simply static unless off course you are recording the unit through amp and a miced box then any modern unit sounds amazing.

    • @bvaladez74
      @bvaladez74 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@delusionwalker8852 Yes sir. First of all, it's all subjective. Whatever sounds good to you, is the right choice. You have different basic class levels of modelers. There's a reason the Axe FX III and foot controller is a $2700 investment. It's a completely different animal than a GT1000. Even the Fractal floor units. Your direct comparable unit to the GT is the Line 6 HX Stomp, which I have and it's great. Fractal, there are so many levels of deep editing, the amps typically have a very close to realistic feel, tone, etc. The quality level tonally is generally at a top of the modeling food chain. All I'm saying is, more specifically, the GT1000 I'm sure is great, just like the Helix, the Stomp, etc. However, the R&D, design put into Fractal is just typically above and beyond others. Myself, I like the Helix Floor workflow the best. I can get amazing tones out of that and that's my go to gig-wise. I've had the last generation Axe FX and did love it. I may try the Axe III at some point. All that however, doesn't matter. All that matters is what works for you. If you get all you want feel-wise and tonally out of the Boss unit, then you're all good.

    ⚡im telling ya folks! since i have the Gt1K i've TURNED OFF (yeah it's true 🥵) all my stellar analog studio preamps n beefy tube head such as Egnater Rebel30, ENGL e530, Brunetti Overtone2, Carvin X1 or Bogner Alchemist .....i can even believe it myself i'm so shocked !!!! 🤨 i had previously a certain amount of multiFX units as well such as the Boss Gt100, TC Nova System, Zoom G9+G3 ...but these new AIRD simulations are 3D but not in the crappy Hifi way ...THEY DO HAVE GIRTH 💣🎖 i could sell too all my mics (Ribbon, Dyna, Condo) + the dedicated preamps or analog Cab-Sims (Palmer PGA05) that used before to capture my tones .....all these stuffs R now almost useless (except for complementing the good look of my Homestud 🤓) IT'S FREAKIN WEIRD HOW IT SOUNDS GOOD 👽+++ the amount of possibilities of processing n the esoteric routing options (3 chain in // with 0 latency) +++ the Output EQ'ing options are mindblowing 🏆 the format factor is also a big+ 🚀 BOSS IS JUST KILLING THE COMPETITORS ⚔
