even better "I really need to pay attention to the worm's "...immediately doesn't pay attention to a double worm pop up with giant flashy red circles on the mini map and loses half the static defenses that he does have and has to rebuild them
@NathanMunson-e6t the fact everything is on fire and he still wins means he is better than me. I still struggle on normal since I don't play sc2 often enough to be good. 🤣
The further Grant gets in this mod, the more I feel like this mod maker ought to be using it as an interview submission to RTS developers for a job as part of their campaign design teams. It feels far more holistically thought-out than any of the other conversion mods I've seen to date, and looks incredibly fun for anyone to play, assuming the difficulty levels scale well on the lower settings.
The clue on the last one was that Energizer was your last unit you were guaranteed to have on this mission, there was a possibility you could had skipped Korhal or Shakuras and go there as your second planet, so if the bonus objective required a unit that is unlocked on one of those planets, that would made it impossible for some players to get it, and that's not a good level design.
I have to assume that's planned for, there's no way that they'd not realize that by now. Maybe not but it should be easy enough to have reactive triggers
Grant did pretty well on the puzzle. Each of the different places you must bring units to are really creative in how they hint the correct unit. The Probe one being next to an expansion is probably the most creative.
21:00 That is such Alarak move "oh no I am shooting my super laser watch out everyone" while it does nothing and everyone is just panicking, an Alarak is just watching them from his mothership xD
I remember that you can stack Adepts' Chain of Ascension quickly by warping stuff into a deployed Warp Prism/Energizer's field, then un-deploys them so the warping units instantly die but you get the money refund and also stacks for nearby living Adepts. It's on an older version of the mod though, so I'm not sure about now.
@@quickdraw6893 Oooh, so that's why killing warping in supplicants doesn't give stacks to P1 mech (i tested it), i didn't consider cancelling the warp-in, fair enough.
The creator for this mod is for me true fan of warcraft 3. Fun unit with powerfull but fun ability, ennemi that give you a proper challenge, exploration for unique bonus and give you advantage (minéral/expansion/etc). Its funny because this remember me of GGG vidéo on why new rts dont work and take some of this info to build this mod
I like many others just tried repeatedly to bring a hybrid to the circle. I was so baffled by learning how basic of a puzzle it actually was. The hint is more confusing than helpful.
@@atraxian5881 It got improved in some recent patches. I haven't check it, since it's hard to judge how effective it is once you know the trick behind it. Both Glacius and similar puzzle in Terran version are much more obvious with their hints.
Please grant, use the overwatch infiltraters. You really haven't actually used the overwatch much and it's amazing for base defense. Like one in the back for the air attacks and two on the ramp with a cannon/shield battery is all you need for defense on the mission you just finished. They are bonkers good.
It's also how I sniped that carrier at the puzzle point super easily when I went through this mission. Kiting enemies back into a death field with multiple of those overwatch fields overlapping wrecks so many things in this mod. Conversely, everything in this mod does so much damage that the shield regen felt pretty dang bad; Grant made the right call using Undying as tanks but that makes the nerazim dragoons quite pointless.
It's amazing for everything... well, other than extremely high armor units. It's four times their normal dps. Feels like he was more impressed by Moebius Warbots on Sky Shield and didn't realize that Overwatch is even better (unless they get to absurd stacks).
11:14 there is 300 minerals on the island you need to blink to, AND there was 100 minerals and 200 gas at the expansion (blue markers, grant already picked them up earlier)
Remember when it said that mission order is actually impactful? Later missions are harder and get reinforcements from factions you have encountered earlier.
Units placed on the beacon are actually made immune and are taken out of F2. You can still manually move them out, as seen by Grant taking out the probe, but it's very F2-friendly. The only part that's bad for F2 in this mission is the Nydus Worms.
Noticing a lot of struggles with air in your compositions honestly if you take advantage of the Libergoons you only need about 10, they are crazy until you get into late tier stuff. They are extremely busted when paired with static defenses.
Grant still hasn't really used the overwatch at all, and its an incredibly powerful defensive tool and hes about to go on a defense mission, and decides not to use it :/
It seems so weird sometimes to see grant will happily spend hours and hours of practice on doing some of the most challenging stuff he can think of, but then he'll be super frustrated by having to spend 10 extra minutes on a mission because of where his autosave is X)
This mod is a lot of fun. Some of the missions are really hard though (not complaining). I'll admit to cheating on one of the missions to give myself 100k+ resources. And I still lost. More than once.
i tried to play this mod but its too damn hard.... i dont have the mental capacity to worry about defending 3 things at once. it looks very well done but they overkilled the difficulty
Use the 3rd solarite ability column upgrade that Grant chose here, the upgraded defenses are so good they kill a lot of micro and enemies the mod adds in.
The mission design for this mod seems absolutely deluxe, I'm kinda stunned with every next mission.
Grant need to get Zero space team to hire the mod maker for campaign design
"Static defense is really keeping use alive" *categorically refuses to build static defense at the top of the ramp*

Maybe the trigger changes based on units available to player?
I have to assume that's planned for, there's no way that they'd not realize that by now. Maybe not but it should be easy enough to have reactive triggers
The clue is also that there is a unit in stasis next to every point that is the right type
Grant did pretty well on the puzzle. Each of the different places you must bring units to are really creative in how they hint the correct unit. The Probe one being next to an expansion is probably the most creative.
1:02 The enemy _really_ wanted to say hi. Very enthusiastically.

That used to be a co-op Alarak exploit so it would be quite funny if it made a return in this mod, but the developer's probably patched it out by now

Evil Chris Hansen be like
Ok, that’s clever.
Gotta say, Grant did pretty well with this puzzle. Maybe he'll be the only person who does Rak'shir without spoilers :)

11:11 there were more minerals and some gas, a total of 400 minerals and 200 gas on that location. You just picked up the island money up later.
Remember when it said that mission order is actually impactful? Later missions are harder and get reinforcements from factions you have encountered earlier.
He knows
11:05 it's 400 minerals with the ones you picked up at the bottom of the ramp (at 8:45 )
3:58 Tal'darim force-field indeed.
Objectives like these are so hard for me since I'm an F2 addict haha.

i LOVE this mod, my favorite series in a long long time
Thanks for the fun puzzling purification! ^^
The nydus worms were just the cherry on top
Sending out love for everyone else who waits until around midnight for these vids to come out ❤❤
I was just looking for this. Dinner time!
I *just* woke up. It's breakfast time for me :o
Its nice when the game treats you like a intelligent person and doesn't tell you each time what to do straight up.
Fairly sure that Death Carrier is what you'll get in the latter part of the campaign which if so is also great design. Sneak peek like
Sweet, mew Grand's vide just in time for breakfast 🎉❤
This is from the start of the episode have not seen anything but I predict it can't be as hard as the Twitch Trolls Grand with the micro mega lasers^^
Love you G, keep up the great work!
Maybe I'm a bit slow but I didn't quite catch what the puzzle did. Can anyone explain it to me?
Put X,Y,Z unit on A,B,C location to get the reward
The reward was just more solarite, I believe.
are you asking what was the purpose of the puzzle or what did grant do to solve it?
50 solerite XD
R.I.P. spine crawler family 🙏🙏😔😛
Interesting how each unit is themed around the purifier faction, but the ai personalities are non-purifier factions.
19:39 damn the loading screens are affected too? cra Z

but where can we find this mod?
Lol, this one fucked with me for awhile. But god did I love it
This what happens when Einstein makes game's mod
This mod is a lot of fun. Some of the missions are really hard though (not complaining). I'll admit to cheating on one of the missions to give myself 100k+ resources. And I still lost. More than once.
there was 400 minerals colse to the expancion but you alrady got 100 berfore you found 300
I’m wondering how much solarite Grant will have by the end because he is getting more than normal which I haven’t seen in a mod yet
It's still not enough to get all top tier abilities. However, they have been changed a lot, so there's room for experimentation there.
is Grant from Oregon?
ACK I was too slow! People already commented ❤
impossible zerg on purification!!!
why is he only using one type of unit variant ? hes only been using the dragoon the entire time???
Probably because it's miles better than the alternatives
i tried to play this mod but its too damn hard.... i dont have the mental capacity to worry about defending 3 things at once. it looks very well done but they overkilled the difficulty
Lower the difficulty maybe? Below hard, there won't be extra reinforcements for the enemy, like the nydus worms or moebius troops on this map
Use the 3rd solarite ability column upgrade that Grant chose here, the upgraded defenses are so good they kill a lot of micro and enemies the mod adds in.
Am I first?
