    What a phenomenal review. 19:39 - 20:03 - that was the best ad you could ever have for this car.

    Cadillac needs proper engineered audio systems for all its vehicles. Similar to the effort of the Bose Panary for the CT6. Bose premium audio is always underwhelming to those folks who actually like good audio like myself. For a luxury brand they need to offer good engineered audio systems with higher power. Other luxury brands do this. Bose premium is just not special as it is common.
    Good Review like always!

    • @XZAKLY99
      @XZAKLY99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      THANK YOU! No highs, no lows, must be Bose. I was so disappointed when Hyundai and Kia started putting Bose systems in their cars instead of the Harmon/Kardon ones they used to.

    • @protovack
      @protovack 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      i always hear complaints about these GM bose systems, but I've never felt like those complaints are really justified, for the majority of people these systems are really good. If you really want a premium audio system you should pick components yourself.

    • @dblezi
      @dblezi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@protovack I agree with you about what the masses think. Bose is the first audio brand that most people buy when they want to buy "good" audio. Since they are better than lower tier audio brands. The problem with your last point is that modern cars have the stereo unit integrated. So it is just not as easy as replacing the drivers and amps. Especially for the touch screens with an integrated stereo.

    It’s a great car and perfect for its segment in the market. Caddy has plenty of problems, which all caddy owners know, but those who totally dismiss or hate on the product haven’t driven or owned a caddy ever (or in years). Pound for pound and dollar for dollar compare the options and power of a caddy, and then see how bmw, Benz, or Audi compare. Those makers will be much more $$$ on the msrp.

  • @trashrabbit69

    That engine has a bit of a VQ-esque sound to me, and that's not a bad thing. My only complaint for this thing is that from what I've seen and heard the rear legroom isn't that different compared to the outgoing CTS. The back seat in the old CTS is kinda cramped, with not a whole lot of legroom nor headroom (coming from a 5'11" guy with spider legs.) That with the low height of the thing kinda concerns me about this car's ability to grand tour. Nevertheless, Cadillac, despite its common detractors, is still doing damn well and you can tell with its interiors and exteriors in the excellent style and quality of workmanship. I wonder if more fleet companies will pick up basic CT6's for their services since the XTS is dead, I would much rather have those than the gussied-up Impala that the XTS was!

    Hits: exterior design, power, handling, infotainment
    Misses: build quality, price, middling stereo, engine note, interior design, parts quality
    If they priced this loaded version at $45-50k, I'd give them a B for being aware that they still have improvements to make. At over $60k, and at $1000/month for a lease, it's a C-. These will be lot queens.

    Nice car, but the transmission on my M340i has completely spoiled me. The shifts are so immediate for a non Dual-Clutch setup, it's hard to believe that there is much out there that's better at this price point.

    There would be more luxury if the small driver-side and passenger side mirror were bigger. Being the size they are you end up having to turn your head before every lane change. And it'd be nice if PSI, Engine-Temperature and Fuel status displayed in the dash cluster. As it is you have to fuss with the steering wheel controls to see them. And it'd be nicer if the GPS pointed toward the driver instead of the roof center light. The demo would have been better if we could see the GPS going with a destination. And it'd be nice to see a switch from GPS to CD and back. And seeing the backup camera and the blind-spot camera (if there is one) would have been nice. Eh I own a 07 GM and it's pretty much the same except it's not LED.

    Sounds exactly like an Infiniti G35 sedan, from the exhaust bark to the valvetrain sounds at idle with the hood open. A huge plus since Nissan refuses to make a car that nice anymore. Seems to drive nicely enough as well. Will keep an eye on these used. ;)

  • @dylanw890

    Dull and drab is a bit of an understatement, while this interior is functional and very well laid out, this just doesn't scream luxury to me. Would have liked to have see some ambient lighting, fully digital display, amoung some other amentities. It's a great car but I feel it's not worth the price they are charging for it. I have no problem paying aroung 35-40k for this.
    EDIT: When comparing this to the new Acura TLX that came out, this seems like a bit of a compromise. If this came in a manual, I think Cadillac would have something here.

    Now this or a C43 AMG? I know the W205 Benz is getting a little long in the tooth but the LCI models offer 385HP and the motor/trans are holding up well despite people tuning them for even more power. Both cars have functional interiors and exterior styling is good.

    One major thing that this car and literally any BMW share is the same crap fake engine sound. On WOT they both have a horrible ear piercing sound, which companies like Mercedes and even the cheaper automakers dont have. It detracts from the feel of it. And then the interior, while non offensive, it just doesnt stand up to the rest. You can tell things in here are from a Chevy, like the turn signal stalk, the infotainment, the gauges, the window switches, etc. At least they got rid of that god awful touch sensitive center stack. It could totally use a fully digital gauge cluster. At this point its a must have in a luxury car. The kind of people who buy this car will also have enough money for any of the other german brands, and when Cadillac is constantly outclassed, even by Lincoln, theres a reason that nobody buys this brand anymore. If i were to choose between this or a C43 for 5 grand more, I would go for the C43 because it fills in huge gaps that this has.
