Hold on, is that Ed O'Brien from 'how to play creep on guitar'???
Wow more people got this reference than i thought
JoeFilmsHisLife yes, I think he’s so good that he could even be a part of the band that played creep!
@@jertspleen1464 He's good but being in Radiohead? Come on, don't joke around.
@@colloquially Yeah he's no Jimmy Bluewood
Yes, he finally made it after years of just covering Radiohead songs
Yeah EOB is ed o'brien from Radioheads solo project, years in the making, hes always done alot of back up vocals in R.HEAD.every member of radiohead is musical vituoso, they more or less can all sing, play about nearly every instrument + all really fluently use pedals n' tech in a majorly creative & original way.so of course Ed would make good solo music, creep being barely worth worrying about as far as the quality of their work since the 1st LP, LONG LIVE THE' EOB ' BAND
Woah this dude has came far. From making TH-cam guitar tutorials for creep by Radiohead to this!
Nice
Bro he's in Radiohead
@@some_knees_2740 that was the joke

Circle of life, my friend
I'm glad that Ed is claiming a place in the Radiohead multiverse
Christiaan Bruin yes to all of this. It’s like seeing these guys on solo adventures like marvel characters doing their own thing before coming back together on a epic adventure with new experiences.
I didn't expect him to be able to say a word that was not his own name
I guess that it was Thom who made him do that. Jealous guy.
wow he looks just like Ed O’Brien from Radiohead!
Ummm actually its Ed from Ed Edd and Eddy
🤷🏾♂️🤦♂️🤣
I know right. It could be his twin maybe.
Here comes all the That's the drummer from nirvana people but instead it's Radiohead
@@theknightsofawesomeness2701 I feel attacked
I think Ed is Radiohead's most charismatic
Yeah, he definitely is, and he's also the most extroverted. He does most of the band interviews aside from Thom, and he's also the most vocal when it comes to general band stuff.
Ruby you look so pretty
He is the only radiohead member that doesn’t look like a loser

Ed's voice as a lead singer is so comforting
Well, that settles it. Going to an Ed O'Brien concert when quarantine is over.
My thoughts exactly. They sound gooood live.
Who do you work for? Capital Records? Clear Channel? Some sockpuppet company who subcontracts for them?
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer Who do you work for? Chick-fil-A?
I saw him just before the pandemic and it was a great show! These songs breathe so much more live, and they do a decent bit of jamming as well. Ed was a sweetheart too, talking between songs a good bit
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer Blockbuster Video, Des Moines, Iowa.
I've been listening to this album every day the past week while I walk in the woods. Never felt so connected to the woods.
I always find a good woodland walk to be the best way to appreciate an album. One of the main factors in my love of the king of limbs, imo the ultimate woodland album
Hello again
@@mrflibble1259 I agree so strongly!
I listened to this album yesterday while riding my bike through the woods with tons of may bugs flying above. Was a slightly surreal experience.
Damn it Micah stay home
i've been wondering if ed is ever going do anything on his own, he's kinda the unsung hero of the group, and gives so much in his capacity, as well as coming across as a great bloke.
Love Johnny's scores, Phil's solo albums, and now Ed! Guess all we have left is Colin, the TRUE unsung hero of Radiohead!
He does everything that makes them special to me I love those little textures and nuances.
Sounds like a mix between Eno, U2 & Radiohead. I like it !
@iqbaalee ramadhan and bucks fizz, only joking no one can out fizz the fizz it's mathematically impossible, but would be good if eob ripped his trousers off half way thru, watch out eurovision.
When I hear it for the first time, I thought it was U2 getting weird again. I LOVE this song. And Radiohead. And EOB.
It kinda shows you that Achtung Baby (produced by Flood/Eno/Lanois and U2) was onto something 30 years ago.
@@JakkuHunter damn right that album is PIVOTAL
@@JakkuHunterso close. This is Flood. And a bunch key musical signatures are lifted from Zooropa and Discotheque in this song.( Which he produced)
It would never happen, but I think it would be cool if, on their next tour, everyone in Radiohead got to play a couple of songs from their respective solo albums. What I think is cool is that when you listen to those albums you can really hear how if you combined them together you'd get a Radiohead record. Great job Ed, I really dig the performance and the album.
exactly
Thom - electronic
Ed - Folk and 60´s rock
Philip - Indie rock
Jonny - Classic music and the orchestra stuff
Colin - Idk, he has not released anything haha, but he´s working with Tamino, so I guess he´s kind of the pop side
It would never happen, but I think it would be cool if Radiohead toured again.
Yes did that once during their 1976 tour
That would be shit. Fuck off.
Man what a voice. Love everything about this.
Voice?. Nah.. 2:45 until 3:11 for example . Not good enough and am a Radiohead fan
Sami Morcos What exactly do you notice about these parts?
🤔
@@samimorcos I can't help but get the feeling that record labels are using sockpuppets to steer social media narratives/opinions about their artists.
It sounds like a U2 b-side and yet there are people in the comments section reacting like it's the White Album or Nevermind or something. There can't ACTUALLY be this many "everything is awesome!" fanboys out there. Idk, maybe I'm wrong but it just seems artificial sometimes.
@@Westonm feels wrong, irritating to hear. Off key or out of tune, am no expert, but this sounds wrong

@@rhyslloyd3681 Very nice my friend.
It's really nice to see such an amazing musician slowly turn into a frontman! Very good performance! Keep it up, Ed!
Radiohead has such much depth, even the solo albums are great.
ED YOU HAVE MADE A MASTERPIECE. i love this song so much i cried happy tears when i first heard it. PLS KEEP MAKING GREAT MUSIC LIKE THIS !!!!
2 + 2= Optimistic
I always felt like Ed was the secret sauce of Radiohead. He brings so much colour and musical playfulness to the table.
This is a banger of a tune. Ed has made a new classic on his own. Equals Thom's equally brilliant Anima.
I can't get enough of EOB's Earth at the moment. I've got it on loop just like Anima.
These guys are just genius musicians.
Feels so weird not to see you on the left, but so proud to see you spread your own wings! Everyone has been rooting for this to happen
So great seeing Ed fronting a band. Natural star 😍

In case someone doesn't know it (I kinda doubt it), EOB is actually Ed O'Brien, one of the members of Radiohead.
Yep you got it right
Lol is there even someone who knows him from other than Radiohead
"One of the members", he plays rhythm guitar
Guitarists Suck more like effects guitar, thom usually does rhythm
@@turnleftaticeland mr Greenwood does the effects and leads
Remember when Bono fell off a bike and U2 played that gig with Chris Martin?
I think they picked the wrong guy to sing that day.
Cool stuff Ed.
Kevin Maryles good call
Ed Obrien is not a U2 voice
Ed is too good for U2
I love the synths and the guitars with effects, sounds so cool. Ed's voice is also amazing!

I have one and it's pretty killer. It's become my main electric.
He's not actually playing his signature here. Same finish and maple fretboard, but his signature has the sustainer pickup at the neck.

I liked it his album. He keep the sound that I miss of Radiohead.
I was dissapointed with TKOL. Then it came AMSP with the classic sound and I love it. I really prefer that Thom and Jonny make his electronic progressive experiments in their other projects than in Radiohead.
