Like thom? Everyone that can control pitch can sing falsetto. When you hear him not singing falsetto is way different than Thom. I hear a lot of U2 influence (being Bono or Edge)

Can’t we just appreciate the song the way it is? I mean almost everyone knows him because of Radiohead but I hope more people will stumble across his music. It’s brilliant. All these comparisons seem a bit pity to me. He may sound like that and that band in some way but these songs are so original that they sound like EOB and no one else!
I hate when people compare new releases to past releases from different bands and I'm sure the artist would too! "This is just like a movie" is another annoying one liner you see the mindless drones make consistently too.

I listened to this with my eyes closed (a bit sleepy too) and it was a really colourful dream. EOB is a genius when it comes about creating textures and soundscapes.

I have always felt that Ed O'Brien's contribution to Radiohead is often not given the credit it deserves. This demonstrates he is indeed a force, in his own right, to be reckoned with. Superb.

I first heard this song as I was driving up a winding mountain road. I was in a bad way; my life had crashed and I was lost and desperate. I kept driving further and further up, until civilization fell away, the pavement became dirt, and there was only a wilderness of trees and mountains stretching as far as the eye could see. The sun was going down and the light and space grabbed me by the throat, the greens and blues stretching out to eternity. My whole life whirled around me like a sandstorm, and I stood there, just feeling it, a speck in the universe and yet fully alive. This song brings me back to that moment, when as the moon rose over the mountains, I decided to live again.

Definitely, especially with that Bloom-style bleep intro, but I can't help but think this song is a hell of a lot richer and more alive than anything on TKOL. This is like if TKOL had kept more of In Rainbows' sound, rather than going for the ultra-sterile, flat production that it did.
