This aligns with Jesus' teaching in Matthew 19:6, "What God has joined together, let no man separate." Some argue Paul adds “another reason” for divorce and remarriage, but Paul clearly maintains that remarriage is only permitted if the spouse has died. I think this is a good talking point on your future episode sis. It would also be great if you could present whether Christians should attend or celebrate a remarriage ceremony. I have a friend who got married, just this year, to a divorced man from another country and I think among all her friends, I was the only one who didn’t congratulate her.

My understanding of Matthew 5 is that most of us are Adulterers ( even looking lustfully). A spouse that chooses divorce chooses death, as they are held responsible for their spouses adultery should they move on. 99% of men in the bible had multiple wives, so 99% are adulterers. If you were not a virgin at marriage, then your spouse has a right to divorce. My husband left me on and off for 6 years, then finally divorced me and remarried and had a baby. I have been faithful. I believe I am free to find another, but I choose to honor the way God says is best. I want His best, not 2nd best.
The adultery you are referring is mental/emotional adultery (Matt 5:28). Matthew 19:9 is physical adultery. If you are your husband's first wife and he is your first husband, then biblically, only death ends your covenant (Rom 7:2-3). If you remarry while your 1st husband is living, the man that marries you including yourself would be committing adultery (Matt 19:9, Matt, 5:32, Luke 16:18, & Mark 10:12). Hope this helps.

The Sexual Immoral people who have committed or practicing sex with someone who is not their spouse..it just depends on the context as it is showing in Matthew 19 v9..NKJV.. Why because they have broken God's law..Genesis 2 v24 one man/ woman for life..Adultery/Married..Fornication/ Not married..because it is not their spouse..
