I saw this awhile ago! I started doing my Arrangement like that good looking out! I was doing it the other way! This is quicker and more Affecent. But I still don't know about up loading it too different platforms! And the proper way to go about for as publishing and having control over my shit!
Ah...nice one. Was looking for something more to do with arranging bounced audio to see how flexible it is but learnt about the track mute function which is not something I had touched so far so stoked you showed me something new and useful.
I have been using mpc for 3 years now but the one thing I still miss is the arranging of loops/blocks in Reason/Logic, I found a way to imitate it but still isnt as user freindly/ my way is to go into channel mixer once the sequence is done and then delete and click and drag loops by grouping them with the quantize on bar or use track mute to make drops in the beat. I just found it so much easier clicking and dragging boxes like in Reason/Logic. I am hoping they will do this in the next update. at the moment I export to logic/ to arrange but I feel I wish I could just do it all in one DAW. hopefully they will incorporate this soon 🙏🏼 Nice Beat Brother
Bulg Beats have you tried using clip programs? It’s easy to work with loops using clip programs in MPC Software. Nowadays I do most of the arrranging and mix in the MPC now. The Software is more stable. Anyway, your method seems to work for you so keep it up.
I think the clip prgrams are betteter for live perfomance not for arraning in my opinion, I just hope they make the channel mixer easier to work with to click and drag bars and loops around so then I can enter back into the loops and delete notes to make more progressive tracks, if you get my point. thanks for your help either ways and really like the beat in this vid 👊🏼 @@sonicboombap Ps: another thing is me making trap thats where I need more quality time in arraging as for Boom Bap beats the arranging aint such a headache, just with trap beats got to go into more detail in arranging drops, and I see why people favour Fruity loops for it now,
Mutes and solos in the mixer can be the biggest part of an arrangement of sequences. I do a similar thing with duplicating a sequence that has a ton of tracks on it many times with variations of tracks being muted or solo’d recorded in time as parameters ... just like this. Awesome to see how you do it.
yooo this is a great concept way better than making many different sequences but i got used to doing it that way ima have to practice this heavy .good job bro

It's good 2 see a MPC Ren still carrying the work load due to the Digital I/O's... I'm gonna do the same once I upgrade to 2.0 "10% off Code MPCSAVE10"
Amazing video my g, but I find it easier to just make a 8 bar sequence then copy the sequence in song mode about 10 times and automate mutes and what not bruv. Whatever works my g is the key!!! Good shit bruv!!!!
Hey bro!i did this for ableton..everything alright but tempo doest change the song ..i mean when u adjust the tempo it doesnt reflect on the song..can u help
Nice video, especially as I was looking to see some videos with 2.0 and MPC REN (any issues so far?). I use exactly the same work flow but my idea with 2.0 was to keep everything within MPC from start to finish without exporting to another DAW. I would like to get my vocals recorded and arranged with sequences within MPC - how is this workflow anyone? Any videos coming soon? Thanks!
Thanks Ben. Yeah, I haven't got around to doing everything inside 2.0 yet but I think I will give it a shot this week to see how things work. If I do, I will post video.
Hey man, when I export my tracks and drop them into ableton the exports are really choppy, they lose a lot of their length and are off beat, any explanation would be sick!
You have to cut off the end, there s a feature that says loop end and it will cut off the extra, or you could manually just cut it off in Ableton . When people bring me stems to my lab I use Ableton at time and if they did not loop the end that will cut off the extra I just cut it off manually. Make sure you know the bpm when throwing it in Ableton and it will automatically wrapp the extra! Hope that helps!
When I export my loop and put it into Ableton, I end up having that left over space sound when I try to extend the loop by dragging it. So when the loop comes to an end, before it begins on the loop again, there's a 1-2 second silence. Only way I know how to get rid of it is by chopping that end off in a program like Audacity. Do you know of a way to NOT have that space on the end when I export the loop from MPC 2.0?
Sorry but I'm not a Ableton user and don't have a clue on how it works. The method I use in video works flawlessly in Logic Pro X and Protools. You might have to search around to find info on your issue.

SuicideStarterkit VR Gaming and Music to each its own, but I strongly recommend having the hardware as well. It makes your workflow alot quicker and velocity sensitive pads on the hardware is a HUGE plus too! And I don’t think the software is sold separately from the hardware either
I still have my mpc Renaissance using 1.9 how do u like using the Ren with the 2.0 was it a easy switch and does the Ren work as well as it did on the 1.9 I'm debating switching to the 2.0
R Kansan yes, the Ren works with 2.0 the same way it did on 1.9 and earlier. The only difference is all the new features you get to use but the workflow is still the same.

I prefer to use MPC Software plus I've been using MPCs for years since the 90s. I make music in my DAW too but its not as fun as as making music in my MPC. The MPC is far from a toy and its been a industry standard for many decades. The MPC has a pattern based sequencer and its easy to whip up a song effortlessly without all that mouse clicking I find myself doing in a DAW. Its my preference and I refuse to settle.

So is this way going to make your file size bigger within Logic? I'm mean vs exporting 8 bar stems and repeating them within Logic.
Yes. I like Logic for mixing. The MPC Software is good too but it's not as robust as Logic for mixing. This is just my opinion.

Yeah, get 2.0. You won't regret it!
Can I keep both softwares fully running 1.9.6 to deploy older MPC 2000 files & 2.0 for all the new projects?
No, you can only run one version of the software. You should be able to load MPC 2000 files in 2.0.
I meant more like deploy them 1 at a time. not at the same time.
2.0 will overwrite 1.9 so its not possible.
