Chardonnay is my go to white. I prefer a more austere, acidic style, and I don't mind a bit of oak. Chablis (Premier Cru or Grand Cru) is wonderful.

The only time in my life I seemed like a wine connoisseur… touring Raymond vineyards. The host has us try the Chardonnay and asks what we taste. I said “bubble gum like a Belgian beer”. She goes “YES this man has a palette.. we use Belgian yeast”. Wife’s laughing while I nod. It was 95 degrees that day and that cold Chardonnay changed me. I LOVE IT!

That's why we love Chardonnay, the fact that it goes well with such a huge variety of dishes, as well as on it's own. I've never understood why some people actually oppose to the varietal. I mean, what is there to not like?

There's no better pairing than chardonnay and tilapia

I recently opened a 2014 William Fevre Chablis Gran Cru Les Clos, it was the last non sparkling Chardonnay I will ever purchase and it was a fitting way to end my Chardonnay journey, it was spectacular, but my passion is now for Riesling, preferably German.

If it wasn’t so expensive, I’d love to get more Burgundy Chardonnay. I have always liked Chardonnay and I have heard good things about Oregon Chardonnay.
I just had Louis Jadot Mâcon Villages and it was great for a basic Bourgogne Blanc. I’ve never had a Chardonnay with so much crispness and cream, green apple and high acidity.

The best wine I've ever had was a 1990 Woodward Canyon Columbia Valley Chardonnay. Honey, stone fruit, light oak, length... Then more length.
Which is not to say that Chardonnay is my go to white. That would be Riesling, especially middle Mosel and Rhinefaltz Rieslings. The Woodward Canyon Chardonnay was cropped at a very low tonnage per acre, and that makes all the difference. Cheers!

I recently watched the teaser "short" about Michigan 101. As a Michigander wine lover that definitely caught my interest, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Help!

Great video again. Had a bottle of Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay last week. Liked it a lot. 58€ in Belgium. Have some Chablis from Dauvissat in the cellar. I'm not a great fan of to much assidity so these wines are the max.

Had a couple of glasses of Chardonnay from Montenegro. It was Ok.. But I still prefer Italian red wines though.

Wow. I've always wondered why Chardonnay tasted like fresh whey to me, yet none of the tasting notes mention it! Thank you so much for validating my experience :D

As a Riesling chauvinist, I am not into Chardonnay at all, but if you are, consider Sebastien Dampt Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet and tell me what _you_ think of the qpr !

can i assume with chablis a lot less malolactic fermentation. I m thinking those winemaking characteristics are coming from "Sur Lie" Can we explain...I do understand Little to no oak in Chablis wines.

I find this young lady's videos incredibly useful, as I sell wine for a living and she's taught me a lot as I progress along the WSET trail. Also, she's very cute and the the way she says 'but-tur' fills me with glee!
