The first large piece of the broccoli stalk, when peeled, is the best part of the broccoli.😋😊

The stem part of the broccoli that you cut off is the best part to eat!!

When you have properly seasoned your cast iron pan, it has somewhat of a coating on it that will behave similarly to a non stick pan if you know how to use it. I take a pan that needs to be seasoned and put in a teaspoon of coconut oil in the pan. When it melts, I use a paper towel to spread it around all over the inside. Then I put it in a prepeated oven at 400 degrees for a half hour or so. Your kitchen might get smokey. Rinse and repeat a couple of times after it cools down. When you cook eggs in your seasoned cast iron pan, you want the pan hot - not cold when you add the eggs. When you go to flip the eggs, if they want to stick, move the pan off the burner for a couple minutes and try again. Letting the pan cool off a bit will usually release the stuck eggs.

With those stem ends of broccoli, you could dice them, saute them, & along with other veggies make a soup from them!!

I also use the broccoli leaves. They're very tasty. Especially in fried rice.

I slice the broccoli stems really thin and throw them in with the rest of the broccoli. They stay a little crunchy but good. If crunchy bothers you, cook the stems first. Really good! Love the program.

Yes, peel the broccoli stalks, cut in rounds, and use in fried rice-- still a little crunchy, kind of like water chestnut texture.

With stalks can also make cream of broccoli soup. Can add corn, red peppers, smoked meat/ fat. Add cheese for broccoli cheese soup.

I agree. Make the sauce and freeze it in portions; and then boil your pasta while you heat up your daily sauce portion. Yes!

One of the ways I do my eggs if I want an over easy egg without having to flip it is to crack your egg into your hot pan. Let it cook for about 30 seconds cover the pan completely shut off the heat and the residual heat that’s in the pan will cook the top of your egg very lightly. Also, this method helps in getting it out of the pan with a spatula you won’t have as difficult a time. I hope that helps you.

If you would put a little butter in your pan initially and turn your heat down. Then you can add a bit of water and put the lid on. The eggs will come out beautifully with very little brown on the white. I don’t have problems with sticking. Thank you.
Added: Is the one person getting two or three meals a day? Can you please explain in next video as I want to try it. Thank you!!

When my children were small I would always keep a box of powdered milk on hand because the milk was always for the kids and if I needed it for cooking, I would just make the powdered milk. It was so convenient to have on hand too.

I usually only use part of a can, so put the remainder in a freezer double zip lock bag, labeled, and carefully, let it freeze. No waste.

Freeze the pasta in individual serves and microwave each from frozen in 5-7 minutes. It'll be perfect as soon as you work out how long your microwave needs. And the meals will be good for twelve months.

Hello,♥ I say no for frozen pasta, I have already tried and it is not good.. better to make the sauce separately then freeze it in portions, and then cook the pasta the same day you are going to eat 🍝
you made me laugh so much about teenagers..no makeup so they stay hidden 😆🤣

Cast iron takes longer to heat, so maybe you aren't getting your pan hot enough before putting the food in, and then it sticks.
