I am boots on the ground and will be covering hurricane Beryl through it's entirety. Including where / near where the eye wall hits & surveying the damage afterwards.

From Corpus Christi Texas, through Mustang Island, Port Aranas, Port Lavaca, Matagorda Beach, Galveston & Houston.

We just left Crystal Beach, Texas, north of Galveston. We left at 10 am and just made it to Dallas! It's 7pm. The traffic was horrible. Not to mention the storms that were coming and going asking I-45 N. We hydroplaned on the highway. It's very dangerous. Stay safe!

@toodlescae you can tell that I have lived in the boonies most of my life and at times with limited water sources lol...my daughter remembers when we all lived at home and put buckets 🪣 under the rain drains to catch what we could before the town decided to upgrade public water and I was the very LAST one able to get it ! We had a cistern in our cellar as well....sometimes the fire department had to fill it! I was named after my grandmother, were you? ( except her name was Antionette-)

Believe me there are many that stay with their properties, you may not see them driving the streets but they are there🙏

I really hate seeing damage from hurricanes to these homes any homes from hurricanes ! We ore on southeast coast and our family went thru Hugo and that one made me rethink ever wanting to live on the coast ! We were in Charleston . Nope I live a hour 1/2 away . We get affects yes. Hugo did for me ! My brother now lives in Pass Christian MS. He loves the Gulf coast ?

This is true. The eye is the calmest part. It’s the bands that produce the rain and winds. So you get it twice.

Bay city is the eye now
I don’t remember which storm it was, but probably in 1985-86, I was living in New Orleans and they were forecasting that it was going to hit the boot of Louisiana or it was going to hit the boot of Louisiana. My mom talked me into going home to east texaas to ride it out. It started raining as soon as I left New Orleans and it was some very hard rain. The storm ended up coming onshore around lake Charles , made a circle and headed back out into the gulf. It stayed a few days in the gulf and finally went onshore again in Florida. We ended up staying like 2 weeks with my mom . It was a crazy time! I had a 4 yr old and a 5 month old with me! They were such good kids that trip!
September 28th 2022 Hurricane Ian landed in Florida Fort Meyers that was one huge Hurricane as well gallavanting the Northern Atlantic Ocean sain hello to many countries as well
