Responsible behavior: preparing for it to be worse than predicted Common Texan behavior: “it won’t be nearly as bad as the lying climate alarmists say”
That is cool red boat. God is good prayed for little loss of life and the storm would down grade. Pray for first responders, our police and our linemen. Peace!
@@Blane_be_fishin not necessarily, allt of factors go into it. Like the speed of the hurricane. Sally did so much damage here it was only a low cat 2 if I remember correctly but that thing was moving as fast a damn snail. Ivan destroyed our town but about a 3 street block by my house was destroyed worse with Sally then Ivan and Ivan wiped out so much. But with Sally the winds were just strong enough to take out every tree around my neighborhood just about due to the crazy amount of rainfall by it just not moving like typical hurricanes. Also. Allt of stuff in this video was some cheaper fishing buildings. They weren't gonna make it most likely in a bad tropical depression
@@packers12to80 I havnt personally seen an 80mph hurricane cause more impact than that with wind and surge. You bump up to even a minimal cat 2 and the effects will greatly increase. But of course impacts can vary with size of storm and speed. But you won’t see much worse than this from an 80mph cat 1. Those houses definitely weren’t built well. Which is crazy because that area has been slammed by much stronger storms in the past.
@@MrSymbolic7 I havnt seen the reports of sustained at 92-94. That would still make it a cat 1 though. Gust are irrelevant on the Saffir-Simpson scale.
Prayers for all effected 🙏🏻
Thank you for showing this. We left from Sargent at 9:30 yesterday morning.

Did it spawn tornados? Looks worse than a cat 1
Not too bad considering they went through the eye wall.
The east side of the hurricane is actually the worst of it. As a floridian just a fyi😂
Amen from@@packers12to80
That’s about as bad as it gets for a minimal cat 1.

I mean, look at this🤫🤫
Life's a beach . . .
This is a Cat 1 so why weren’t these better/ stronger built buildings? Texas is center for Hurricanes in the Gulf.
They can’t afford it I guess. It’s a gamble.
The gust were 105 mph and sustained 92-94 mph , so it was a Cat.2 according to the Hurricane wind scale !
