  • The refreshed 2024 GLE, with its striking looks inside and out, receives a host of versatile new technologies. With electrified engines and luxurious new appointments, the GLE redefines the luxury SUV to its core.
Inside, the GLE receives updated features, materials and finishes previously exclusive to the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV. With new colorways, an updated steering wheel featuring sensor surfaces, and available MANUFAKTUR trim, the GLE has once again elevated the standards of luxury in a spacious SUV.

Additional ground clearance, underbody protection and an OFFROAD drive modeDisclaimer[3] combine to instill confidence off the beaten track. A "transparent hood" function, which can display a virtual view from under the front of the vehicle, enables the driver to better visualize surfaces and position the vehicle’s tires while conquering rough terrain.
Powering the GLE in its ascent and advancement is a family of electrified powertrains, including the new GLE450e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid, as well as new mild hybrids. The 48-volt architecture and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) offer intervals of added power to an already impressive level of performance, along with hybrid benefits to efficiency.Disclaimer[4]
With the second-generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), the GLE cockpit becomes even more digital and intelligent. It leverages Artificial Intelligence to help you control vehicle functions more easily, via touch or your voice. Its “Hey, Mercedes” featureDisclaimer[5] can understand and learn a greater range of natural-language commands, to make the GLE more intuitive and enjoyable than ever before.

Is the engine good or bad in terms of drivability. Can you feel if it’s inadequate.

The 2024 GLE's and 2023 GLC's are already being sold yet MBUSA has not updated the build configurator on the website. You can still build a 2022 GLC!! For someone who is interested in the GLE, it's hard to decide if the 2024 is worth the upgrade without confirming the pricing.

I left a comment but don't know if went through. We have a 2021 gle350. At 19K miles needed to get new tires. At 23K needed to get front tires. I talked to Penski motor and the GM from dealership tolded me because the way the car was designed as a safety the braking system actually kicks in before you press on brakes and this makes the tires wear out extremely fast. Came with contential tires now have perriles tires both excellent brands. The only one who knew this was the GM service manager never tolded us about wear when we brought the car in service or salesperson. The fiance manager never mentioned it but I saw him a few weeks ago about something eles and mentioned it at that time. My question is it true the tires wears out so fast because it was designed to be safer as I was tolded? Or just telling me this? I can't believe the engineers would designed a car that tires wear out so fast. This must be making customers mad. My wife uses the car to work and normal driving otherwise. Please let me know if anyone has the same concerns as we do. Thank you for taking the time to read my comments and getting back to me.

      Thank you so much.
Our car is eating tires and you know how much they are. Looking forward to hearing from you... Thanks again

My previous M-class went thru tires and brakes- every 20k like clockwork.
I’ve notice that cars/SUVs with a staggered tire set up (wide in rear) go thru tires quickly- Going square on all four corners will allow for rotation-

Just curious if you were able to ask your dealer about our concerns on the wear of the tires? Again we have a 2022 gle350. Thanks for your help in this matter!!!

The GLE's weight could be a contributing factor to the tire wear, they are very heavy for no bigger than it is.
