Thanks - nice start to programming all the settings on the DX6i - thanks. Manual is not a step-by-step, I needed this to get the hang of what the menu was all about and how to work it.
Hi everyone, i am new to rc flying, i have a spektrum dx6i transmitter, now i was thinking of buying a Ripmax wot 4 foam-e mk2 without transmitter, how do i link rc plane receiver in the plane to link up with transmitter? does it do it automatic or do i need to press a few buttons lol thanks guys
I know that this a very old thread, i purchaed this trsnsmitter back in 2016, brand new still in the box, now I want to learn how to use it just because I just purchased the new freewing f-22 raptor V2 4s jet, with the lemon rx 7-channel receiver and with gyro. If someone can post a video of how to operate and the basics it will help very much, instead of skipping around taking tips here and there from different people. They should design these transmitters more simpler..
@knightrider3766 The set up will be a bit more difficult if you have little to no experience in model aircraft. Maybe if you have a hobby shop nearby they can help you get it set up. The only problem I see that you will run into is the f-22 raptor will need 7 channels on the transmitter if it has retractable landing gear. The dx6i only has 6 channels. If you wish to toggle the gyro on and off you will need that 7th channel. 1. Throttle 2. Alieron 3. Elevator 4. Rudder 5. Flaps 6. Landing gear 7. Gyro on/off. You will be able to fly it if you set up with the gyro to always be on but if your receiver is like the spektrum brand receivers with SAFE you won’t be able to do rolls and loops which is all the fun with a jet! I hope everything works out for you. Happy flying!
@@RCpilot1013 thanks for your response...this jet does has landing gear, but it's not retractable , this a five channel aircraft that only has alleron, elevator throttle, rudder, and reverse brake, my spectrum transmitter has 6 channels, which means one channel available for the 7-channel reciver w/ gyro in one, i m not interested in loops and things as yet, just want to fly regular for now, so after everything I've just mentioned, do you still think it'll be a problem now??
The first thing you beed to do is calibrate your sticks, you wont be able to even do a proper setup until you do. After setting up the transmitter you need to do a range check before flying. always, always always do a check of your direction of controls on the plane. If anything is reversed, crash! Its too bad to couldnt explane the proper set up for your throws and what the positive and negative numbers mean. Just remember, the second set of numbers to the right of 100,or75,whatever your throws are set at,are referring to the sensitivity of the throws at the beginning of the throw. a negative number will case your movements to become ultra sensitive. I would recommend not using them unless you are into 3-D flying. It is clear, you are limited to your knowledge of your transmitter, thats ok but I think you should mabe learn what everything on your transmitter does, even if you dont use it on yours. I am sure there will be people asking you questions and you dont know. It generally takes a diagram to explain Expo and mixing and,all that. being you are not that far along, and I realize it takes time to learn this, your video should be named simple basics for beginners. You should show how to use the timer, thats important basics. Focus on the important stuff, you shouldnt have dismissed range. that is one of the most important basics.
Flying is easy. It's this stuff that is a pain in the ass. Thanks 4 the vid bud.

Thanks for your help. I am new to RC and doing my first setup.
So I got it to bind to my plane but nothing will work. I'm.l not sure why. Set up exactly like you showed too. I'm lost
Thank you! Easy to do!
what do I do if the axises are doing the wrong control
Check the aircrafts receiver and make sure the servos are hooked up correctly 👍🏻
Please help me set up a standard Parkzone Radian on a DX6i
Can you do a video for a rc boat setup?
How. Do you delete a model
