Hi, Britec. Thanks to this video I was able to sort out a serious problem with windows update that had been going on for some time. I had searched for a fix before but was getting lots of complex and conflicting suggestions thrown at me. Keep up the good work mate
in my opinion, a solution that removes many "headaches" would be to create a copy of the operating system on an external hard drive that you can restore and in the same way, a copy of the important files for the user on an external hard drive .

Tried all the methods above but my issue is, the pc does not boot into the windows environment. The computer is attempting to boot windows from the D: drive and not C where it is installed.
I had this problem - I couldn't logon to windows after an update(so I had to uninstall the update each time prior being able to use my windows again). What helped me was creating another user with admin rights on my pc and copy/paste the files from the old user to the new one. This way I didn't have to reinstall my programs, kept my files and everything(only had to adjust some little things). That really worked for me. Big respect to Britec09 for tackling these windows develish issues!!:o))
thanks I've had my Norton popping up saying I has alot of registry issues and my computer would pop up saying something unexpected happened and needed to restart this fixed it right away
Thank you so much! After the system restore and some manual registry editing everything was back in place, except for WindowsApps acting out with it's cache(probably still remembered some wrong values).
It's also possible to manually enable Registry backups even in Windows 10 20H2. For some reason Microsoft disabled this automatic backup in an earlier version of Windows 10. These backups can be helpful is recovering from a corrupted system registry 🙂🤷♂️

I was just coasting around TH-cam and you had just released this video, had I made a comment then I would’ve been first in line but then I would’ve not been able to see this excellent video. Question for you when you go to load or import your backed up registry into your machine is there another way to go about it besides the way you did it? Reason being is I have gone to my backed up registry and rather than going to Regedit and importing it that way I’ve ever done is double clicked it and imported, but that way, however the success rate wasn’t very high LOL. Also I was going to the backed up registry and right click it and just chose import or in the store I can’t recall the option it’s one of them LOL and the success rate was a lot more so approximately 75% to 80%. When I try to run Dism Restore Health it says: "Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.10586.0 Error: 2 An error occurred while attempting to start the servicing process for the image located at C:\. For more information, review the log file. The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log" Why is that ? Is there a fix ?
If you fix a broken registry what happens to any good registry entry that were added since your last backup? and how do you know if your registry is not already starting to be corrupted (even if still working good for now) when you do your backup?

I am a little confused: when i was cutting a video today and exported it my pc suddenly froze so I turned it out by pressing the button on my pc but when i tried to start it again a bluescreen popped up and it restarted. I only shortend the video and didnt add any effect or anything else to it. It was also a quite short video. Now I watched this video but i don't know how to get in that command widow as my pc doesn't even properly start. The last days it also sometines took a couple tries to get it started because my screen didnt "turn on" and stayed black

Do not do restore points, this will corrupt even more files in your Windows PC especially google chrome & other gaming programs like steam. I've had this one time & one time google chrome got corrupted on both restore points I had made. The way to fix that was by rolling back & undoing the restore points.

try troubleshooting ur pc power or diagnose with occt if its crash or freeze ur psu might need to upgrade. update all ur drivers and clean install ur graphic drivers using DDU, lastly try clear ur cmos if the problem happend after installing new gpu

Hi! I believe I have fileless malware, I'm struggling to remove it. Any ideas? I saw there was a video uploaded a few years ago but I'm not sure it's as relevant, will need to watch it. My registry seems to have been replaced with another as my pc is being run as domain joined. Cant seem to remove it although I have removed rpc and rdp plus vmraid and vdisk entries. My bootfile is located in syswow64 folder but access denied and can't use del/F to delete. Can't access sfc. There's new drivers and from what I see in registry they are running commands through powershell to run dll files. Event viewer is blank so I presume I have been denied access. I have done disk clean/format and clean install but it remains. Saw safemode key in registry and when I checked it all drivers are allowed in minimal driver option. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of this?
at 2:10 I got the "error 2" and "The System can not find the file" Error at 73.9% Scan Status....anyone knows what that means? It created a Protocoll file in windows/logs/dism/dism.log ...any advice please?

I FOUND A FULL PROOF You can go into the system image recovery in your Repair options at boot Select Choose a driver Then click advanced and choose your own driver.... It's only to be able to look around in your files in from there you can go to C Drive and You can go to your registry backup and then going to your latest registry File u you can Run the dosrecover only Took me 10 hours to figure out but no joke 10 hours later I fixed it
Just a word of warning to Lenovo users who may have bought a laptop with Win 10 Home S Mode, this messed up OS deletes any apps when you do a reset, even though you may have disabled it previously!!!
once you mess with the Registry ..you are re installing windows you cant even put reg backup file back when your in cmd outside windows my best advice clone your damaged drive,and then fresh windows,then copy over your folders from the cloned drive yes you well have to install some programs but some well still work ..this man is ok but sometimes you just have to re install windows
Yeah, I had to perform to full factory reset just to be able to use my PC. Definitely never going to meddle with registry again unless I know what I'm fully doing

You Need to go into your BIOS on start up and change the boot location drive

you can just double click the .reg file no need to open the reg editor
