- On the first Saturday of winter break, I was invited to join Chris and the rest of the Reaper crew out for some legendary offshore winter sea bass fishing. After a smooth three hour ride out to the fishing grounds the bite was instantly on. As the day progressed the fish kept getting bigger with Chris landing the biggest humpback on the boat at 23 inches and 5.1 pounds. It took us around 4 hours to get a full boat limit as there were many short fish stealing our baits. Again, truly an epic offshore experience as always with the Reaper crew, and an even more memorable next few nights consuming the delicious sea bass fillets.

Where did you run out of that you had to go so far for sea bass
We were out of Atlantic City
do you use a topshot between the mainline (braid) and rig or just connect the braid straight to the rig
I just tied the braid straight to the rig, didn’t have any issues snapping off, especially because the rig was 5ft long
How many ounces to hold?
I believe we were using 10 this day
