Nice trip. Why the strong preference for fluoro? Line cost for rigs is negligible so I will tie them with fluoro going forward - just curious why. Mono should handle snags better... THANKS

I make my own rigs too but I use circle hooks

Thank you! I was using a 7' jigging world hybrid nano rod and a penn reel, actually the first trip with that rod and it worked awesome!

I commercial rod and reel fish for sea bass and fluorocarbon is not needed I use 50 pound mono and squid

It means exactly that. They aren't big seabass.
Fluro is a waste for this fishing, don't trick those who don't know better into thinking they need to waste money on fluro for most any type of bottom fishing.
