- We take the 43 Ocean (REAPER) from her home port of Atlantic City, NJ out to the 20F depths to fish shipwrecks for the delicious black sea bass.
Black sea bass aka Sea Biscuits are absolutely delicious. Excellent, mild white flaky meat
Limit this year is 10 fish per man/woman at 12.5". We only fish for them maybe 2-3 times a year so we do like to keep our limit and fill the freezer
In my opinion these are best eaten breaded and pan fried in olive oil!

So when your fishing that deep you gotta keep what you catch right? But I see you measure. I know when we fresh water fish crappy in the winter, they take size limit off because they do deep. Love the videos
We "vent" the short sea bass so they can swim back to bottom. Unfortunately it doesn't always work. Luckily when fishing deep at the beginning of the season..most fish are keeper.
Great day of fishing. Got a question for you and Zach was it hard to hook up the TV in your salon to your machine so you can see on the TV what you see on your machine. Thanks Steve from mystic island..
Wasn't too hard. we drilled a hole from the flybridge to the salon (behind the shades and valance) then just ran an HDMI cable from the Units to the TV .Took an hour maybe.
I went out for the opener absolutely hammered the knot heads went out the next day hammered em again man they're delicious. Great video brother as always keep up the good work. Tight lines!!!
Does anyone know of any good spots out of wildwood or capemay? Having trouble targeting them
No sir I used to go on party boats out of Cape May but it's been years.
I went out of North Jersey.

Thanks so much Cody. She runs pretty good. We fished last Friday and had 1, missed a bunch. Wind against tide had the 43 just swinging all over the place and we left. I'm hoping to head back down next week if I see a nice night with light winds. May even stay overnight just for fun.

I'll check em out James. We took SeaMoney a few years ago for tog and I was admiring his. It's tough cuz I spend so much on the offshore gear.
@@reaperfishingnj8623 yea i feel that man. But....you do post a ton of inshore and nearshore stuff and a jigging world nexus XH is an absolutely amazing tog/seabass/fluke rod $150 cant get a better lighter rod. Tight lines all season long! Cant wait to see this channel blow up

Yea that was our first one. We caught a few over the first two days.
They were easy pickings Saturday we had a 5 man limit in under 2 hours in 120ft of water plenty of ling and a few cod in the mix as well
