I watch alot of you tube videos. This has been by far one of the best on the topic ! This guy is super knowledgeable and explains everything in detail and step by step. Great job !
This is a seriously undersubscribed channel. Your content is 🔥! I only started fishing in my mid 40s so you have no idea how helpful your content is to someone like me. Thanks, and please keep the videos coming.
Great video very helpful. It is my wife and mine favorite fish to target and this helped a lot. Anyway you can be more specific on the rod length and lure capacity
Hey Kevin, rod length and lure capacity vary based on what lure you are using. If you are targeting black sea bass in deeper water you are going to want a heavier rod for heavier jigs so you can keep your line from scoping out. In shallower water you can use a lighter rod with lighter jigs. As with any vertical jigging shorter rods are more effective. Anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5 feet is a great length for Black Sea Bass.
It might sound too simple but keeping your hooks off the bottom works great, make contact with the bottom and then give your reel a half-full crank up off the bottom. Another great way to avoid snags is to make sure you are using enough weight to not scope out too much. You want to keep your line as vertical as possible
Love this video, I personally won my first tournament not too long ago and very proud! Anyways bro another banger of a video remember the grind never stop
Great video but in my opinion this setup is overkill. I’ve caught plenty of 20+ inchers on a simple bucktail jig with a small piece of squid on it. I’ve even had Black Sea bass hit top water lures in early spring and mid fall when they are hungry enough. I find that 30-40 ft of water is the sweet spot for em, especially around a rock pile or a nice ledge. Tight lines boys
I almost exclusively jig black sea bass now, mostly slow pitch. One of the oddest things is just dropping the jig onto the bottom and letting it completely sit still. I get the biggest sea bass like that sometimes. Its strange as it’s literally just laying on the bottom motionless.
Wow! If I was new to fishing I would think catching sea bass is very complicated and expensive. Hooks, leader, sinkers, clam, go to wreck and catch. Done.
Sea bass fishing is great because it can be simple, but getting the real big fish consistently makes more of a challenge. Either way you do it is a great time!
Wow. I may have watched 100s of fishing videos but you covered everything in a organized and prepared manner like none other.
Appreciate the kind words! We’ll try and make more in this format

Question for fishing for sea bass on a party boat what is some tip for catching And not get your line caught up on the bottom or tangled up

I have to agree. Some of the biggest I've ever caught hit a small piece of clam on a hi-lo.
Which casting rid you said up to 50lb which one do recommend 6 6 7 which Px

Keep the scope out of your line and snags are much less likely

Yes completely different species of fish than west coast black seabass.
