Bem, pelo que ele já falou em entrevistas, essa música foi composta quando ele terminou um relacionamento com uma mulher mais velha. Se ele realmente tinha 17 anos quando compôs, essa mulher é uma criminosa...
the mid 90's were hella fun!!! life is cruel, it allows you to be part of an amazing era, then quickly puts you into the review mirror, as the one you look into starts showing grey hairs and wrinkles...
You hear the influences of the likes of Plant, Morrissey and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in his vocal styling but he surpasses them in every way. Like Nusrat his songs have a Sufi influence starting slowly and then building to a crescendo and Grace shows it so well. His voice being so good it is ridiculous would be enough for most, however his lyrics are like romantic poetry. We then come to his guitar playing which is at another level. Page and Plant went to see him in NYC and were amazed with one of them saying he was like the two of them joined together😀 I know it’s shallow but the man was beautiful as well as being blessed with so much talent, for that to be taken from us so early was one of the most cruelest acts ever.😢
Someone here said that he was so good it hurts and that absolutely sums it up. A talent like this only comes around once or twice in a generation. He was a great gift and a great loss all at the same time.
I was in a bar today and this came on their sound system..and just had to come home and listen again to it live. Just perfection in a song and Jeff Buckley. RIP
i listen to grace album religously and obsessively every fall. I will always miss this man althoguh i only ever knew his music after he passed away. hoestly hes os iconic, rip forever

Probably a minority opinion, but I feel like he totally butchered this song with his random vocal flailing in all directions. Having a great voice is one thing, but having the maturity to use it in a disciplined fashion is another.
I was a big fan growing up, but not keen on all the singing voices he used. Always thought it was a carry over from the coffee shop days when he’d be singing covers in all different styles, and that’s what people expected of him
I had the same sentiments first listen. The different inflections made it sound too inconsistent and distracting. Talented guy for sure, but this wasn’t the performance I was expecting
He wrote this when he was 17. Talk about god gifted talent.
any good videos yk about jeff ?

Outstanding
Where did you learn that... I've read a book about him and I think he was actually about 24 or so when he wrote this.

My goodness, that bass guitar! Guitars, voice, drums, amazing…..but that bass!
Yeah it wouldn’t be the same without it! 👌🏻
Mick Grøndahl is phenomenal. You can hear his bass alone in "Deconstructing Last Goodbye" here on TH-cam. Wow, it's incredible.......

Oh how I relate! Still was great being there in the prime of life.
That voice. What an amazing talent he was…
Must have been incredible being there

You gave out a really great recommendation here. Thanks!

The sound of the drums, guitars, and that bass just melt into each other so good.
His band is sooo good.
Oh how I wish I witnessed this performance
He’s so good it hurts
Amazing! Such a great performance! I miss him

He may have only the one complete studio album but at least we have tons of bootlegs and live recordings of the man ❤️
Someone needs to do a deep dive into the little extra lines jeff throws in. Mysterious and i bet there's some gossip to glean.
Listen to all flowers in time.. then listen to Lover you should’ve come over live in Chicago might be a hint into his mindset of this show 😉
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!

Last Goodbye
Jeff Buckley
So Real: Songs from Jeff Buckley
This is our last goodbye
I hate to feel the love between us die
But it's over
Just hear this and then i'll go
You gave me more to live for
More than you'll ever know
This is our last embrace
Must I dream and always see your face
Why can't we overcome this wall
Well, maybe it's just because i didn't know you at all
Kiss me, please kiss me
But kiss me out of desire, babe, and not consolation
You know it makes me so angry 'cause i know that in time
I'll only make you cry, this is our last goodbye
Did you say 'no, this can't happen to me,'
And did you rush to the phone to call
Was there a voice unkind in the back of your mind
Saying maybe you didn't know him at all
You didn't know him at all, oh, you didn't know
Well, the bells out in the church tower chime
Burning clues into this heart of mine
Thinking so hard on her soft eyes and the memories
Offer signs that it's over... it's over
Gone to soon
What's that guitar? please!
rickenbacker
Rickenbacker
James Franco could very easily play him in a biopic
About 12 years ago
james franco is a creep yucky
I think he's too old for that now.
god i hate 2024
Yeah. It’s real fucked up idnit
yes
Haha
This made me chuckle. 👍🏻
Just keeps getting worse
Such a waste, DROWNING!!! HEARTBREAKING 😊😅

Mature and disciplined is what his voice is. Try going to head voice that seamlessly
Listen a few times. It just is different but wonderful❤
I had the same sentiments first listen. The different inflections made it sound too inconsistent and distracting. Talented guy for sure, but this wasn’t the performance I was expecting
Imagine what he would of gone on to do if it wasn’t for a horribly placed rock in a murky river……
Rock? I thought he got caught in the wake of a tugboat
Terrible mix 😢
Toxic
Whoever that woman was……..she missed out.
