But mine has the X-drive emblems, that doesn’t make it all wheel drive 😂. Yes I did! I think the guy I bought it from had his impact on righty tighty not lefty loosey!
Great work man! I have a 12' 325i e90 n52 for the last 10 years here in Brazil, i love the car...actually with 224k kms...keep going and enjoy the machine
Sometimes when I’m labeling I’ll even write “left front passenger head” or “bottom of engine right” or sometimes I forget to label all together and have to hunt for 30 minutes just for one connector!
Hey, ya I did notice that and looked into it, I think it comes that way from the factory? I pulled one of the connecting rod caps but didn’t film it for some reason. They looked good though👍
Hey, I didn’t do any programming or coding. Since I used the N51 intake manifold, exhaust, injectors/fuel rail and a few other sensors and components that the N52 didn’t have it works as it should. If you wanted to get the most performance out of the swap that may be a different story. I did reset the DME adaptions since there may be some differences in the air fuel mixture.
Hey I did a similar build except mine was I removed my 1.8 liter out of my 3 series e90 and got the n54 3.5 liter engine rebuilt it and installed it in the chassis of my e90 everything fit in and what not but I ran into an issue that I am trying to sort out. The issue I had was wiring especially since I wanted my car to be automatic as it was a manual 318i but I left the whole clutch assembly except front the brake master cylinder and ABS module just for esthetics and also if I ever wanna switch back to manual. Please tell me where can I get the resources to know what wiring I should do to convert it to automatic any help would be appreciated
Hey, that might be tough as I believe the control module in the transmission needs to be paired to your CAS and DME. If you were able to pull the harness, DME, and CAS module out of the car where you got the engine/trans that might work. Without spending a bunch of time researching this, it is a little over my head! Search around on the forums for auto swapping a manual e90.
Excellent work
Thanks man appreciate the comments as always! 💪
The RWD version has so much room to work compared to the Xdrive. Sure got lucky with that broken bolt.

Thanks! N52’s are pretty solid. This one will be for sale but I’ll enjoy it until it sells!
🔥🙌🔥🙌🔥 It’s Alivee! You really got down on the cleaning 💪 keep up the awesome work!
It is! And thanks I appreciate it!!
WOW great work, loved watching and learning!
Thanks appreciate it!
Great video! Was a pleasure to watch :)
Thanks appreciate that!
It's easier to guess how to run the harness in the engine bay I did mine on the stand and ran into some confusion

Nice work brother!
Thanks man appreciate it!
Amazing work. What are your plans with the old engine?
Never mind, I just saw your previous video. Poor thing was destroyed. 😢
I’m going to pull the pan in a future video and probably the head. Maybe the block is good😂
Did you notice the heat discoloration on the crank closest to the con rods? I would've changed the bearings at minimum.....while in there

@@rebuildrevival excellent....as long as you confirmed....just thought I'd mention something...I've been known to be blind sometimes too...
Do you need to code the ECU? or do you just drop the engine in and its all good?
