This man is definitely ranking among the top 3 characters in this game. A real general to his men. Also him volunteering iguazu then covering for him when he understandably bails against that monstrosity of an ice worm was pretty chill of him
I think the reason G1 is so sympathetic to you is cause he understands your situation and may see a bit of himself in you: A person with almost nothing left in their life but the violence they can bring to the world.
Did anyone else notice how Michigan knows the names of every single member of Balam? Man may give his people a lot of shit but he really cares about them
Michigan never willingly insults or acts like an asshole unprovoked barring you when you were an independent Merc. He never insults people who don’t talk shit or don’t act like morons, it’s why he respects 621 and Rusty so much He also never bags on his men who retreat so they don’t fight 621, just that they need more training, and when you die, he immediately calls for a relief team to treat the wounded. He may come across as comedy relief, but he’s a great pilot with solid leadership who cares about his men, even splitting his own bounty with em. Great character
You know, if AC6 ever gets an expansion, like previous AC games, or a DLC that adds more missions and story, I hope it's revealed that Michigan survived and was able to eject or got knocked out inside his AC. He's a fun character.
This game is just full of amazing people. G1 Michigan being the first to make an impression lol. It actually reminds me of the Ace Combat PS2 days. Where you never really saw their faces but knew the inner quality of their character... ~ like friends, in the end.
Performed by voice actor D.C. Douglas. From AC6 to AC6, from Fires of Liberation to Fires of Rubicon! His delivery sounded familiar, so I checked out his other roles. AWACS Ghost Eye in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. That has to be it. He also voiced Legion in Mass Effect 2 & 3, one of my all-time favorite characters. But that's definitely not where I recognized his voice from because he's doing something totally different there, even before whatever layers of processing were added.
I really hope they add some DLC down the line that expands mission choices and endings based upon the Corporations. Considering the setting, it's honestly bizarre given how great the endings we currently have now that we don't have any endings we can choose that let us side with the Corporations or truly side with the RLF.
Yeah. i really thought there was a way to actually side with rlf because of their missions but ig not. That moment with rusty and flatwell was a huge bait too. I thought you can get rusty to stop depending on your choices
His voice is actually exactly what I expected when I play an anime mecha game, his voice feels so at home here. My only complaint is that the script could use some work and that’s about it.
I thought he was kind of a dick at first but really warmed to him as time went on. While he might sling the occasional snipe when someone starts acting up he cares about those under his command and shows genuine respect for Raven/621. I love that in the mission where you kill him he basically tells his forces "Yea your completely outmatched" despite it feeling like one of the largest forces you've fought up until that point, and then if he kills you his first order is getting help for anyone hurt.
One thing that I rarely see people point out is, in G1 Michigan's Arena profile, it says that he specifically put a bounty on his head on the Balam bounty board, his own team's board, under the stipulation that half the reward money will go to his war buddies at Furlong, his previous comrades.
The dialogue in Intercept The Redguns is absolute gold, but having to hear it all for the 10th+ time in a row from running out of ammo over and over got old pretty quick
I'm surprised you didn't include the clip if you take out Iguazu first during the alternate dam mission. Michigan says : "Iguazu, how many ranks below you is G13? You can count, right? Don't take too long figuring it out -- it's a lot!"
You can lure them to the heavy MT on the far right side of the map. Makes it a 2v2, also there's a high chance one of the enemy AC's will not be able to boost up there leaving it a 1v2 in your favor. Also never attack the tank until he used his grenade then you have 5-6 seconds to get damage in before he can use it again.
"You can bill me for the AC repair fees, Michigan" is the most Patrick Seitz line I've heard in this game. Never a dull moment when he plays a main character.
Michigan is the embodiment of tough love Mans remembers his troop's names Commands other troops to help out with the injured when he kills you And disses the shit out of them to make them remember their place Its really unfortunate that Balam has to go down in all 3 endings
Let's be honest: when given the choice between Balam and Vespers, 9 out of 10 people choose to side with Balam, 99% because of Michigan's barbs. So 9 times out of 10, Michigan's mouth saved Balam.

Chatty and Michigan are my fav characters in the game, its a shame i cant save both of em at all
Yeah, chatty has a really calm personality i like him a lot
@@UlvorsketsI wanted him to learn how to laugh at a joke from Carla before he got deep fried.
@@ix8750rip Chatty

“THE ANSWER IS 2000 ALBANY’S SIR” 😂
god i love that mission. i mean you’re killing michigan but his banter in what’s basically a mission where you fight a bunch of MT’s constantly swarming you while they come out of clown cars makes that mission damn near impossible to get angry in
I love how whenever anyone is even the slightest bit snotty on his team Michigan immediately calls them out
I do love how he is like the polar opposite of snail snail is a moron on the field overconfident cowardly and calous but snail knows how to think big picture
michigan on the other hand is easily the best field commander he sends the mt's in waves to drain your resources wear you down and stagger out the battle while his ac comes online but saves 2 waves the biggest one mid fight with you and a relief team for after the battle that's more complicated and careful than anyone else ever does in this game
I think the best way to summarize michigan on the rubicon front it he's a field commander who's in charge of every strategic level decision which uh is not his specialty but hey corp military not too suprising a guy who's competant in anything is hoisted to the top
This man is definitely ranking among the top 3 characters in this game. A real general to his men.
Also him volunteering iguazu then covering for him when he understandably bails against that monstrosity of an ice worm was pretty chill of him
Fun Fact: All of the names of both the Red Gun members and soldiers under Michigan are named after rivers or bodies of water!
Funny how G1 has a personality of an Army drill sergeant
He probably is
I think the reason G1 is so sympathetic to you is cause he understands your situation and may see a bit of himself in you: A person with almost nothing left in their life but the violence they can bring to the world.
G1 Michigan would be an amazing COD commentator
4:34 my favorite line from G1 Michigan. He really loves to mess with G5 Iguazu… 🤣
According to arena profile, Michigan famously put a bounty on his own head, on condition that half the money goes to his war buddies.
Did anyone else notice how Michigan knows the names of every single member of Balam? Man may give his people a lot of shit but he really cares about them
God I love Balam related missions because they make me nostalgic for the Ace Combat days.
I love the J. J. Jameson vibes he gives off
Michigan never willingly insults or acts like an asshole unprovoked barring you when you were an independent Merc.
He never insults people who don’t talk shit or don’t act like morons, it’s why he respects 621 and Rusty so much
He also never bags on his men who retreat so they don’t fight 621, just that they need more training, and when you die, he immediately calls for a relief team to treat the wounded.
I just completed the Intercept Red Guns and out of respect renamed my AC "A Bad Fall"
But that's definitely not where I recognized his voice from because he's doing something totally different there, even before whatever layers of processing were added.
and the belkan scientist in ace combat 7
I really hope they add some DLC down the line that expands mission choices and endings based upon the Corporations. Considering the setting, it's honestly bizarre given how great the endings we currently have now that we don't have any endings we can choose that let us side with the Corporations or truly side with the RLF.
I REALLY want support PCA forces ((
@@HindrancUSHonestly sounds kinda wild.
@@MegaDragon1983
"Wild" in good sense, or bad? )
@@HindrancUSPCA got these dystopian inhuman looking AC's too bad we can't have any of their parts
Yeah. i really thought there was a way to actually side with rlf because of their missions but ig not.
That moment with rusty and flatwell was a huge bait too. I thought you can get rusty to stop depending on your choices
G1 Michigan, Chatty and V.IV Rusty is the big reason why ya'all here want big DLC/Expansion update for Armored Core 6
His voice is actually exactly what I expected when I play an anime mecha game, his voice feels so at home here. My only complaint is that the script could use some work and that’s about it.
his script is perfectly cheesy and I love it
I think the script is perfect as is.
You can't fix perfection.
@@idj3105 he’s def got the mech anime dub vibe. Similar to the other AC, ace combat
I wish he said “G13, twist his nutsack off” in his accent
I lost my shit laughing when I heard him say G5, YOU JUST VOLUNTEERED FOR THE FRONTLINE
A man too damn good for Rubicon, only shame that the good ones are usually the first to go.
The fact There is No Balam Red Gun ending is a CRIME I instantly loved Michigan when I first encountered him.
He's really a great guy, remembers the names of the MT pilots and everything
One thing that I rarely see people point out is, in G1 Michigan's Arena profile, it says that he specifically put a bounty on his head on the Balam bounty board, his own team's board, under the stipulation that half the reward money will go to his war buddies at Furlong, his previous comrades.
Can we get this guy again as the VA in the next fromsoft game, man is no joke in joking 😂
iirc theres another line in the dam mission if you kill Iguazu first, he yells "Do you know how much 13 is below 5? can you count ?!"
Everyone being upset over having to go against Carla , Walter , Ayre.
Meanwhile I was devastated when it came down to going against G1.
Reminded me of Sergeant Dornan
The dialogue in Intercept The Redguns is absolute gold, but having to hear it all for the 10th+ time in a row from running out of ammo over and over got old pretty quick
I'm surprised you didn't include the clip if you take out Iguazu first during the alternate dam mission. Michigan says : "Iguazu, how many ranks below you is G13? You can count, right? Don't take too long figuring it out -- it's a lot!"
When g6 called and asked us to join I genuinely wanted to join the redguns, it sucks that we cant join them at all past the ice worm
2000 Albanys sir still kills me 😂
it's heartwarming how he defends iguazu
Somehow defeating G4 and G5 fighting together was bigger challenge for me than fighting Ibis...
It's like a marathon vs a sprint. xD
It was hard for me on NG++
its easy if you focus Iguazu first his pretty fragile.
I wish Michigan was my dad, absolute chad 😎
"You can bill me for the AC repair fees, Michigan" is the most Patrick Seitz line I've heard in this game. Never a dull moment when he plays a main character.
Michigan : "G5! You just volunteered yourself for the front line"💀💀
That first sequence was such a Sargeant Dornan moment...! *Love it.* 👌
I FUCKING LOVE G1 MICHIGAN
Michigan is a MVP great character and he’s a good leader also a S-Rank pilot. I legitimately felt bad when having to take him out.
He dies anyway off screen. I think most of the cast do, so don't feel too bad.
His voice is perfect for Starship troopers
1:52 So true... There is absolutely ZERO excuse to dying on this mission, like ever xD
This is just every line from him!! Which is correct given that this is a compilation video as every word from that man’s mouth is hilarious
G1 is my favorite character, I laugh so hard each time he talk.
and rusty, I just simply love that cool dude
Redguns too angry to die, rip Michigan, you're a real one
Michigan is one of the most iconic faceless characters in a game full of iconic faceless characters; I love Rusty, but I adore Michigan
What gets me is that, even as you arrive to destroy him and his forces, Michigan still refers to you as G13 and hypes you up to no end.
To think. This is Wesker.
Michigan was my favorite character in AC6, ANY time I saw G1 show up on screen I knew I was about to chuckle in this desolate land 😂😂
God Ive heard the Michigan fight dialogue so many times
I lost the fight vs him a lot just to re hear the lines. Dudes watching as you’re cutting down his squad and is like G13 is that guy bro! 🤣
Loved
G1: g13 sound off!
G13: …….
G1: good enough
Yeah I like G1 too, so sad when I'm taking out the Balam squad while hear him talking funny.
So we are all in agreement that we wish there was a Balam ending, yeah?
the fact michigan remembers all the names of the people that work for him. dude cares in his own way.
G1 is a natural born leader
Michigan is the embodiment of tough love
Mans remembers his troop's names
Commands other troops to help out with the injured when he kills you
And disses the shit out of them to make them remember their place
Its really unfortunate that Balam has to go down in all 3 endings
I can assume they took some influence from Major Chip Hazard in Small Soldiers.
Let's be honest: when given the choice between Balam and Vespers, 9 out of 10 people choose to side with Balam, 99% because of Michigan's barbs. So 9 times out of 10, Michigan's mouth saved Balam.
0:05 That "What?" sounds just like engineer saying "What?" after soldier teleported bread in expiration date.
I like how he says specifically to Rusty "ever thought about switching sides?"
I'm unusually fond of Michigan and Walter for the sole purpose that they showed respect
