Hey I know this area!!!
👍
Chippewa county forest area?
Possibly 🤷🏼♂️
😆😆😆
Very noble of you to lend a hand!! Bravo sir
Thanks! I just hope someone would do the same for me 😂
i always enjoy your videos, congrats on the harvest.
Thank you!
Congratulations! Very cool story, feels good to help others out.
Thanks! Yeah he was super grateful i was able to help drag his buck out, it made for a fun day I’ll never forget.
Yep, that was good of you to help the other hunter. Congratulations on the doe!
I have a question though; you didn't seem very GUNG HO on the 308. Is it not a very good caliber for deer hunting? And if not, what do you suggest?
Congrats on your doe. Hope family is doing well. Yes, ice fishing is here. I'm heading out Friday morning. Great video keep up the awesome work
Thanks!! Family is doing great, little man will be crawling any day now 😁 can’t wait to get on the ice!!!
@@CNCoutdoors that is awesome. Tell Christa hello
nice doe cole! we all want to keep seeing great vids from you. buy the summit pro safety harness to go with that summit climber!
Thanks! Yeah i need to look into buying a new safety harness. The one i have is older and uncomfortable
Love those little pbj’s
They are super nice for a hunting/ fishing snack
Nice work, getn it done!
Thanks!
Congrats on the doe! Very cool story.
Thank you!
Nice work on public land Cole! Looked like a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors.
Thanks! The weather on opening day was absolutely gorgeous this year 🦌 wish it was like that every year
Nice doe. Public land hunting can be tough. Something to remember is that deer need to get a drink every three to four hours. Got a good spot - stay there. Also, a lot of hunters get out of their seats about the same time as the deer. They will push deer to you if you stay put. (I also drape a lot of hunter orange around my tree.)
Congrats on getting a doe on public land! I don't hunt public land until the late season due to all of the people! I did get a doe on November 5th with my crossbow but did not see any bucks during the gun season, so no shots fired. It was a slow season for my entire hunting party this season!
Thanks! Unfortunately it seems like a lot of hunting camps had the same story as you this year. Hopefully the WI DNR addresses the obvious issues our state is dealing with right now. We need to get our deer herd back to what it was.
Congratulations on the doe!
Thanks! Looking forward to some sturgeon spearing videos!!
Great video hunt. I’ve had 100% pass throughs with my 308, even on quartering-to shots. I only hunt with Barnes TTSX 150 gr bullets. Their factory ammo is premium.($40-ish). Maybe try them out.
Thanks! I’ll have to look into that 👍🏻
See you help that guy with that buck congrats on your doe as well .
Thanks!
Public land bow hunting is pretty good.public land gun hunting is crazy.gotta spend a lot of hours in the tree and usually all running shots.Gotta be good with your weapon of choice.glade to see you got some meat in the freezer.I got 2 doe on public and only seen 2 other deer all week.very challenging.Ready to go back out fishing.
I’m definitely super excited to try hunting some public land next year with the bow. Seems like there is a lot of potential if you put in a little effort. Yeah public land gun hunting is pretty nuts 😂 glad to hear you got some meat in the freezer as well!
Great video as always Cole, see you on Poygan in a few weeks!!
Thanks! Can’t wait 🧊🎣
Nice doe. Would you tell us what county if you don't mind.
Thanks. This was in Oconto Co.
We hunt public land in Marinette county. Have to get way back not to have a pumpkin field around you. We sit all day. Some of our best times are when everyone else goes in and starts pushing them midday.
Nice, yeah definitely a good idea to do all day sits on opening weekend. Just have to be well dressed and bring some snacks. During the week i think walking might be more productive with less people being in the woods.
Nice job very nice doe
Thanks! Venni burgers 🍔
I meant to say not very supportive of the 308 unless I missed something.
cameras zoom in real close. You can get it on camera😂
😂 it’s tough when it happens fast, trying to decide if you should grab the gun or the camera first becomes a split second decision
What county?
Oconto co.
Freezer queen!
Oh yes!! She’s getting processed into hamburger Patties 🍽️ 🍔
Congrats on your doe. Alot of people look down on us that shoot does. Too bad for them. My family survives on venison. My wife actually prefers it over beef. Yes, I know I'm lucky for that.
Hunting public land is hard. I hunt my own small 10 acres. I get deer. I'm surrounded by a ton of public land that I should probably look into hunting. But I don't want to deal with other hunters. I'll gladly kill a big buck, but I'm happy to be a meat hunter.
Congrats on your doe and helping the other hunter drag out his deer. You did the right thing. That's rare these days.
Most of the northern forest is buck only or very few doe tags.. the deer population will never get healthy with wolf Infested woods, and of course us hunters
@@user-ov3pz3os3s I understand the low deer populations in the north. I have hunted there and am aware of the buck only restrictions. Where I have hunted, I have seen plenty of antlerless deer. The buck population has been scarce. To the point of not finding a single rub or scrape on my friends 100 acres. Obviously, the deer are not an unlimited resource, but when managed properly, there is no issue with taking a doe once in awhile. Unfortunately, proper herd control hasn't taken place due to the regs that have been put in place. The DNR almost wiped out the herd where I hunt in Central Wisconsin with unlimited $2 antlerless tags a few years back. The wolves also moved in and took a toll on the deer numbers. The deer numbers have finally increased, but it took years.
@@davebennett3982 yes very well said. Couldn't agree more. I also hunt central forest in Clark Co near Pray and Neillsville in the county forest. Hunted up there since 1988
I hunt in the central forest area in Monroe County. So we probably experience alot of the same things while deer hunting.
what camera did you use?
My GoPro hero 5, my cannon handy cam, and the camera on my phone. I need to update the big camera one of these years
thanks pretty good videos
@@CNCoutdoors
I have 40 acres up in hayward and trying to learn how to hunt and video at the same time. Love the long range zoom on you canon.@@CNCoutdoors
@@zoosiab1976ahh gotcha, it’s definitely a challenge that’s for sure. Fun though
There’s ppl everywhere because of channels like yours
Not true. It’s been like that even before TH-cam was a thing. I hunted public land in northern WI in the early 2000s and it was just as bad as it was this year. Probably worse
Hunt private.
Ahh, the pumpkin brigade (what I call public land hunters). I've always hunted public land. Hate it. This year I got invited to hunt Buffalo county, sadly no bucks seen. Congrats on meat for the freezer!
Thanks! 😂 i haven’t hunted public land in a while so it was a cool challenge for me personally.. but then i remembered how terrible it can be some days. All in all i can’t wait to do it again. No bucks seen in buffalo county?? That seems kinda crazy
@@CNCoutdoors I got to hunt Tuesday Nov. 21 through Thursday Nov. 23
A monster drop tine buck was seen during the rut apparently this year, but might be alive currently? I just enjoyed not having hunters walk under my climber stand, which usually happens on public.
Yeah i suppose that would be nice and relaxing not having to worry about those issues.
@@CNCoutdoors Congrats on the doe! Love all your videos! How did you end up on public and not your usual private?
Where was the better half I thought she hunted also? Nice to s3e
She was at home with the little man. Hoping she’ll be able to get out more next year, pretty tough for us both to get out with a 7month old at home.
