Awesome video buddy!!! I definitely wish I new of a lake close to me that has some good size perch in it!!! I’d definitely love to try eating some and see how they taste between crappies and walleyes?? I have caught a couple really small ones at a lake that I ice fish though!!! Hopefully I can get on some bigger ones that are big enough to eat at least!!!! Lol!
Why don’t you use your live well for perch? Also, do you ever cut the gills to bleed your fish? I bleed out all of mine and it makes a big difference to get a cleaner fillet.
@@MrBitcoinLane i use it every once in a while but typically i like my perch to go on ice right away, especially when the water is warm. I always bleed my walleyes and you’re right it makes a huge difference in the fillets. Not sure why i don’t do it to perch.
@@bad_vaporizer minnows help when there crazy thick, but if your using crawlers just keep it out of there reach. Usually 1.5-2’ off bottom is the magic number. If your getting goby bites just keep raising it up until they quit hitting it
Did you call the DNR about the dead walleyes? I remember a few years ago lots of other species were floating. Also curious how far north you have to go to find weeds? I never really pull up any weeds on the lower bay. Thanks!
No i didn’t call the DNR, it didn’t seem quite as bad as it was a few years ago and i didn’t see any signs of VHS or anything like that. I think it might just be the drastic water temperature changes we’ve been getting on the bay the last couple weeks. Not sure. You can find plenty of weeds in the southern bay if you know where to look 👀
Thanks! Last time i called the warden because there were dead walleyes floating all over the place behind a gill net boat. They did nothing, said they didn’t have any wardens in the area and the commercial fisherman are allowed a 10% by catch. So i highly doubt they would have done anything about this unfortunately.

What a great day! I'm with ya I love eating perch!! They looked delicious! I use Andes batter to its the best! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Yes it was!! We love perch fry’s at our house 😁
Nice haul, got into a bunch of perch on Bago this weekend.
Thanks! Can’t wait to get into some Bago perch soon!
I go back and forth between the breading method and a beer batter. I can’t decide which I like better.
Both of them are good but i think i prefer beer batter on the thicker bigger fillets.
Awesome catch dude !!
Thanks!

How do you keep the gobies off your crawlers on humps on green bay?

Dead floating walleyes…when was the last walleye tournament? 🤦🏻♂️
I don’t think there has been any tournaments lately honestly. Not really sure what was going on with that. Most of them were barely alive too. Strange
@@CNCoutdoors that is very strange!!
