Hunting Public Land - Traditional Wisconsin Deer Camp Part 2 (2 Biggest Bucks in 1 Day)

I hit the woods in Northern Wisconsin for opening weekend of Wisconsin's deer season. My dad has been coming to this Wisconsin deer camp for the past 45 years, and I now have 23 years in! I ended up getting the two biggest bucks of my life. The first one was aged by my taxidermist and was 4.5-5.5 years old, and the second one was 3.5 years old. I am getting a shoulder mount of the first buck and a European mount for the second.

Great video! Congrats on two bucks! Nice to see an old school camp still around. When I was about 15 years old hunting in Vilas county I remember seeing some hunters using wall tents. That was in the mid eighties.

I think all three were pretty great! My second buck wasn’t quite as big, but pretty close. We got my first buck and my wife’s buck shoulder mounts! Thanks for watching!

That brings back memories. I hunted out of a shack like that with light brown sides and blue tarp roof for many years. It started as 16x20 and grew to 20 or 24 x 32 in the end. It's ashes now but the woods still remains.

@@PlayinHookySportfishing By the looks of it we did hunt national forest that didn't have snow the same day... I currently hunt public in central wi closer to my current residence and take day trips here and there back up to the old stomping grounds.
