Hi Neema, welcome! This practice can be done anytime. If you can manage a few hours before bedtime that would be ideal. Having said that, also if you wake and cannot sleep bits can be done to calm your self and relax you. If you do earlier, then just pick one pose before sleeping to quiet your nervous system and re-engage the autonomic response. See how that goes.
