The Crow is a perfect example of why not everything needs to be a franchise. It was a great movie that had a perfect beginning, middle and end. Then the money people got involved and you end up with terrible sequels and I think there was even a TV show for a while. I'm surprised that didn't try to sell lunch boxes.

i never watched the sequels cuz it never made sense. in the first one theres a reason eric dressed the way he did, he found the boots and pants in a dumpster, he found the top in his apartment and the jacket belonged to Tin Tin, and the face paint was because of the mask that was in the apartment that had memories of him and shelly. and then the tape all over his hands and body were from taping up the wounds he had in parts of the film that were cut. in the sequels it became a costume, and it makes no sense why anyone else would look exactly like eric.
Ashe had his face painted with his childs paints, he had white and blue and was done by sarah who did it as a tribute to eric.
Alex's was under his skin for some reason

I'm glad to see him getting more work. The Crow role fits him, but I don't know about the director and the film quality. He shouldn't be in B movies. It's such an injustice to him. He's a great actor and deserves better.

Ok, I'm rewriting my review critique on The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005) because I don't think I gave it a fair chance after re-watching The Crow (1994), City of Angels (1996) and Salvation (2000). What I liked about Wicked Prayer was Emmanuelle Chriqui and Edward Furlong's chemistry as lovers, it worked. The song in the end credits was pretty good too. What I didn't like about the fourth Crow was that I think David Boreanaz was miscast as the villain because he wasn't threatening like Michael Wincott, Richard Brooks or Fred Ward was. In fact, he almost came off as the comic relief.
This version had so much potential. Unfortunately, it got undermined.
The writing and acting was very immature at best. This movie was a sloppy good time. But that doesn't sell dvds
why so hate to this movie ? ok, Edward is not best "the crow" but premise is good, amazing score and sad scenes

I decided to have a crow marathon with my family and I should have stopped at the 3rd movie.
Lol, "fart in my gas pump". This stuff was soooo bad that it was funny. Almost thru the whole movie I kept thinking in my mind as I fall to my knees and raise my fist "Nooo, Angel ,nooo". I'm glad David Boreanaz was able to find life after Angel was canceled, but this movie was a bad choice. I admit that I watched it twice cause I was in shock the first time.

The Crow (1994), every film afterwards is just awful. This piece of trash from ’06 or so was just awful. I can see why Tara Reid and Edward Furlong were reduced to it. David Boreanau? I have no idea. He must have thought he just had to do it.

When you have a contract with certain studios and agencies, you are forced to do shit shows like this. However, Edward and Tara volunteered for this.

So I'm gonna say it He's obviously not Eric from the first movie and I assume that after the first movie non of them were. So why the make-up for every movie. especially when it doesn't look as good as when Bradon Lee wore it. I liked it when he wore it for two reasons one in dark scenes I couldn't tell if the make up was fading off or not and two he actually look menacing in it. Now put a chill clown on my face and look bored as hell. Then stand in this well like room and no ones gonna take me seriously.

Every single Crow movie is wash, rinse, repeat, and the quality of acting and film making just gets worse with every movie. This movie is just embarrassing in comparison to the original. I can't believe that this actually was given the green light. If I was a distribution company I would have just trashed the entire movie and not put it out after seeing the final cut. Wow, what terrible acting and cinematography.
The 1994 OG is the only one worth watching.
