I love how Eric's skills and fighting abilities grow in every scene from the time of his rebirth. By the time he rolls up on Top Dollar's meeting, he's completely figured things out.
Thing I love bout this whole scene is, his fighting style is wild, passionate and untrained, which is exactly how a person who died like he did and lived like he did would fight, and it fits PERFECTLY for this character, love this movie to death, my brothers fave OAT!!!....
The Matrix is my favorite movie of all time. I just watched The Crow for the very first time today and when I saw this scene, I understood immediately where much of the Matrix came from. The same outfit as Neo, the slow motion while rolling in the air, the way he shoots with both hands, and so on. I was shocked.
*@ChuckLopez @LupusInfernum* Other way around. TDK comic predates The Crow as did Batman in general and no Nolan didn't rip off this scene, entirely different. The Crow literally killed everyone on the top floor of a building where Joker just wanted to make a point and that took place next to a kitchen. I'd argue The Crow aesthetically ripped off Batman with the dark Gotham look.
I've always loved that bit where the cops burst in and yell "Move and we shoot", and Brandon raises his hands, leans, and does a little soft shoe shuffle, exit stage left. :D
I love how, in superhero movies, police always show up with 300 armed SWAT, a dozen of snipers, 3 helicopters, a fighter jet squadron, a flotilla with a carrier and 20 heavy artillery guns to take down the superhero, but when they to go stop the supervillain there are always 2 cops at most.
I feel like it's a normally to show how bad society is at reacting to people who are trying to help them. Just look at how the media treats Trump and has convinced many average people that he hates them
This was a good comic adaptation for the time. But he's totally impervious to death in the book (never explained to my knowledge) so it was pure rage and revenge with no consequences. A real ultra-violent fantasy.
There's so many hilarious things about this scene when you really look at it. The random money laying on the table. There's a silver platter full of blow. A small pile of little white pills. A weird sword display built into the wall. A guy wearing white pajama pants with poker symbols on it.
You are pretty hard-core if you see a guy taking like 50,000 rounds and keeps getting up when you just stand there still trying to kill him with your machine gun.
Dark Knight's Joker, before there was a Dark Knight Joker. John Wick, before there was a John Wick. The Matrix Neo, before there was a Matrix Neo. Max Payne, before there was a Max Payne.
The Crow came out in 1994, Endgame came out in 2019. There's 25 years between the two, what the fuck are you on about. Nobody is comparing them, and it's completely reasonable that a lot of people have never seen the film. I only saw it because of my dad.
@@0lionheart ....You missed his point. A lot of the Marvel films these days are almost carbon copies of each other. There's no depth to the characters at all. The Crow is on a different level and stands out. It influenced so many movies. Watch the start of this scene and then watch Health Ledger as The Joker walk in on the villains and do the pencil trick. Even his make-ups similar. Plus the Matrix has got similar vibes in its slo mo action and looks. Although the film hard boiled has to take some credit for using slo mo.
Those are some dedicated criminals, which could never be me because if some dude is getting hit with that much firepower and he's still moving, I'm out.
@@williambrugman7788 I'm interesting in Brandon Lee's death about 10 years. I have many books of his life and The Crow on set accident. I know all about it. For example: very first day of shooting it was Eric Draven just wake up from grave and walk in the street with no shoes and no shorts on. Sorry for my English.
@Ssssfs No problem, I also find it very interesting. I still can remember the day he died and how it shocked me, and the year after he died The Crow was released and then I really started to study what happened, have spoken lots of people through the years who knew a lot and some who where close to what happened or to him. My favorite part too! That was savage! 🔥🔥
It made me laugh a little when he hopped up on the table , acting like all is well. 😅
And the way he knocks over the statue
The beginning part has to have been the inspiration for the scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker meets the mob bosses
absolutely.
The Joker is definitely a hybrid inspiration of the crow and the mob boss, both of their dialogues through the movie are similar to the Jokers too.
A lot of this movie inspired The Dark Knight.

It’s not a remake but I’ve heard that it sucks
They made up to 5 different crow movies , this isn't the first remake.
