C'est beaucoup trop beau que j'ai des larmes aux Seigneur ! Comment ne pas aimer le Saint Sacrifice de la messe et toutes ses chants qui est nécessaire pour notre esprit et notre âme !
Thank you for uploading this, one can actually feel God's presence. I love the Latin High mass and i wish all these are in one video but thank you and God bless you
That is certainly true. I could not agree more. But I am nearly 20. And I was brought up with the New Mass. I was taught to genuflect when entering and leaving a church. And to genuflect before receiving the communion. Which I prefer on my tongue. But since most churches don't have altar rails anymore, no one taught me to kneel on the floor before priest. I still receive the communion standing. Although I dó like the idea to kneel when receiving the Communion.
@SaintJude3322 Yes ok, I do also see him as kind of a Hero, but just imagine every bishop just started consecrating his own bishops... what chaos there would be, this is the unity that binds the Church, obedience....also I have learned now that the excommunication didn't come from the Pope thus I think they were invalid, no? Does any one have more info?
Too Bad, That The City That I live In Monterrey, Mexico, We Don't Have Latin Masses, but I love one single Latin Mass In My City, Because I'm Learning Latin with Our Father, and The Ave Maria, But unfortunately, I'm still hearing the mass in Spanish, but Latin, Is the One That I Want To Hear For The 1st Time in my life, beautiful mass in Latin, and It's WONDERFUL!!!!! :-)
Dear Uploader, I love this video! And think it is a great representation of the latin mass! I am making a student film on the history of incense and was wondering if i can use a clip from this mass to illustrate its usage in the Catholic rite? Thanks!
You have to note that both of the masses are still valid, and will be valid for ever. I acknowledge that many novus masses are done very wrong. But here in Europe we still have a lot of churches with !Latin! novus masses, incense, (only) altarboys etc. Which still are beautiful to me. Note also that the blessed pope Benedict is still celebrating the novus mass everyday... It cannot be regarded as false. But hell, the Tridentine Mass is much more fun ain't it!
It's Detera Domini. Psalm 117. See Jaco090 below. Yes, it's beautiful. This is the English Translation: The right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength: The right hand of the Lord hath exalted me: the right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength. I shall not die, but live: and shall declare the works of the Lord.
@spitzer72 I am also very much in favour of the Tridnetine mass and I prefer it to the Novous ordo because it gives us a taste of heaven on Earth. BUT we can't hold everything Lefebrve did as infalible and doctinal, there was clear disobedience towards the Pope. Schisms hurt the whole Church. He should have bowed his head and allowed God to lead the way. BTW I admire lefebrve, he was a gentlemen and spoke the truth, its just that consecration which ruined everything.
I'd like to see a traditional mass in vernacular language, just as Bizantines have their liturgy in vernacular, without losing its beauty. probably the only reform that should have been allowed in 1970 was translation into vernacular, everything else just killed the Roman Rite.
Well put. This is correct -- Vatican II did not call for the abolition of Latin. Nor did it say that the priest faces the people the whole time! Most Catholics don't know these things.
no.. listen I am against comunion in the hands, thats why I receive it in my mouth, but I live my life and let others live theirs, Novous ordo doesnt mean communion in hands by force, many people in my parish receive it in the mouth still.
How did they understand?? Father, I am sure you have heard of a missal?? Also I am told these Missals had Latin on one side and English on the other :) Give the people some consideration that they are intelligent beings.
I am not a modernist!!!, I am indeed very conservative!! I am in favour of having both masses being celebrated, if there are 4 masses on a sunday in 1 parish, 2 must benovous ordo and 2 in tridentine rite, to cater for every ones needs thats what the church is for.
I have seen many good norvus ordo masses that do follow the rubrics by the Vatican. It is sad that the sacred and mystery has disappeared from the Eucharistic celebration. Mass attendance is at an all time low because of the secular world.
If you are a normal Christian who just attends norml sunday mass, and I am the celebrant and begin saying Credo in unum deum, it doesnt make sense to go back to the past, the church has made a wonederful change that the mass is done in every ones language...
@doggsector He was NOT a heretic, perhaps disobedient, but so was Athanasius in his day, and that disobedience was justified for the sake of souls and at the sight of modernism leaking it's poison through the Temple of God, unlike Martin Luther's. I am not SSPX by the way.
The mass is beautiful, how ever do people understand anything, whats the point? the church must moove with the times, Iagree that certain prayers should still be done in Latin like the Pater Noster because all the people who know it in english & know what they are saying when they say it in latin.
..then again I agree that certain things should be kept traditional, for example the kyrie eleison and the gloria in excelsis deo, I find no harm in them being done, infact the Pope recently spoke in his angelus that he wants more latin and gregorian hymns. How ever I would ony include latin hymns in special occasions like midnight mass and feasts, other wise they wont remain special, and people will hear them frequently and get sick of them.
agni2007: the church does not say that the vernacular language is the best. the second vatican council, itself, said that Latin is to remain the language of the liturgy, and the vernacular may be employed in specific parts for pastoral reasons. Even then the people are to know their responses to the ordinary in latin. i'm not trying to be arrogant, i'm just trying to dispel the myth that vatican II called for an abandonment of latin masses.
NOW Wait a minuite, it's not sacrilegious! the CHuirch has accepted it and if the Church accepts it we must obey it> I personally dislike it and so did mother Theresa, how ever we must live with the fact. We can speak our oppinions of what we think are erros, how ever mwe must keep obedience to the Church.
Hell, heck ; Potato, potatoe. We catholics only call 'heaven' if something bad happens. And we say 'hell' if we want to be optimistic. That's quite remarkable, isn't it. For certain: it was not my intension to insult the Tridentine mass of anyone. I am pro-tradizione. +
@Gspijkenisse Exactly, these traditionalists are too extreme and they end up loosing all their argument which is sad because most of the things they say are right, but when they state ignorant things such as "consecration is invalid without a maniple" is just a sign of mental illness, I love the tridentine mass but I have been to Novous ordo which is done all in latin and very solemn such as Recital of Salve regina at the end and communion at the rails.
well, church attendence is at an al time low because every one is free to do what on earth they want to. There is no longer that fear of eternal damnation of hell. The church has lost all her control over her people and she has done it herself.
You see certain things that the church has done such as, removed the vale from womens heads. You might see these things as silly things how ever sicologically it is true!. first the vale was removed, then the people wanted to enter with short sleeves till the elbow, the church allowed it, now they are entering with straped t-shirts!!
SSPX is not in union with Rome but there masses are valid but illicit. Pope Pius X was against the roman missal for the laity. It was published against his will and then became common at mass. Latin is the Language of the church. Pope Benedict reaffirmed that in his apostolic exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis that Latin should be used in mass. The norvus ordo mass has it fruits and is a good mass except for priest with bad formation celebrating it wrong and taking the sanctity out of the mass.
I am not a modernist!!!!!, I am actually agaionst the rock masses and all those rubbish things, I am very much in favour of Latin masses, how ever vatican II in itself was not a bad thing!
The novus ordo has it fruits? Mass attendance is at an all time low. Nobody beleives in the real presence anymore. Everybody dress like slobs at mass. The mass is no longer a sacrifice but a meal. The mass is pro choice, too many options. You dont what to expect next.
C'est beaucoup trop beau que j'ai des larmes aux Seigneur ! Comment ne pas aimer le Saint Sacrifice de la messe et toutes ses chants qui est nécessaire pour notre esprit et notre âme !
Beautiful mass. Every mass should be like this.
Thank you for uploading this, one can actually feel God's presence. I love the Latin High mass and i wish all these are in one video but thank you and God bless you
Thank you Jaco.
Tridentine Mass is so much made of blessed win!

Thank you, but I was looking for the composer. I want to try this psalm with our church choir as well.
Heaven on earth st Nicholas in Latin quarter of Paris France

Puede escuchar misa Tridentina en la cd. de Lerdo, Mexico
What is the song they are singing at the end of this part? It's beautiful!
Yes, I love 'Perfect Exceeder'
What if one receive communion with tung, but still standing?
Nothing wrong with that? ;)
Dextera Domini fecit virtutem;
dextera Domini exaltavit me:
dextera Domini fecit virtutem.
Non moriar, sed vivam,
et narrabo opera Domini.
Ps 117.
I hope you can manage that. But the song's quite high. Can your sopranos sing to the high G? :P
Does anyone know the name of the offertory verse at 05:53?
Bless the Lord. I have found it.
The composer was the famous organplayer CÉSAR FRANCK.
But it costs like 20 dollars to buy it :S.

O.K. But you should know that the real meaning of the mass is beyond its words anyway.

Abp lefebvre a great saint like athanasius of old Alexandria Egypt

Bonjour a tous En francais je m appelle JOSEPH DONALDE RAPHAEL MARIE CLAUDE ETIENNE. merci
no.. listen I am against comunion in the hands, thats why I receive it in my mouth, but I live my life and let others live theirs, Novous ordo doesnt mean communion in hands by force, many people in my parish receive it in the mouth still.

there is an enormous possibility , how ever the sspx must not be so old fashioned.
I have seen many good norvus ordo masses that do follow the rubrics by the Vatican. It is sad that the sacred and mystery has disappeared from the Eucharistic celebration. Mass attendance is at an all time low because of the secular world.
Papa Franciscus num cuam hoc auferre poterit traditional missam latinam

yes I understand your VALID pointg, but does it mean you stop going to CHurch because of the weeds in the Church? the devil wants you to reason so.
Church is packed. Hmmmmm does it tell you something. Both Masses are not valid, this one is. The other thing is just that, a thing.
sspx is considered schismatic
You are unbelievably lazy and ignorant. Read and study canon law and Divine law.

God hated modernist heresy now in Roman Catholic Church
