It's a great choice for smaller maps but the medium and up it's not the best choice. Honestly I'm enjoying Outbreak Perfected and the BXR more this season.
I used it before it was good, since I loved the gun's feel. I am so damn glad to see it wrecking now, and am happy to have gotten all that practice when it was crap.
@@ghost-carnage8964 Well you might be in luck, light GG has the gun listed as craftable which means that it will probably be craftable either next season or the one after that. My guess is next season and Dares of Eternity will be removed in Lightfall.

Hey test a Legal action II with Heating up Rampage. I literally challenged any messenger users with that last season its really good. I think it is very good for the archetype. (also liked your take on Premonition as my sleeper pick)
Legal action ii was robbed in this. Try a surplus roll. Surplus completly negates the slow handling and reload normally associated with 340's and pushes the stability in the 90's. Plus the super clean model and sight.

If I had to choose only a single pulse rifle to be my primary for the rest of my life, it would be a hard choice between the BXR or the Bad Juju. They're both so powerful!

Hey Nomad, I know you'll likely never see this, but I know you put a ton of effort into the AE video which got kinda waylaid by Bungie announcing changes so soon. What would be awesome to see though, is a detailed breakdown of exactly why aerial combat is such a core aspect of D2's PvP. I suggest this because I've found many of my PvE friends simply don't understand what the problem is. A video from someone as knowledgeable as you going in depth on how it effects the flow of combat and feel of PvP gameplay is something that would be super useful as a resource to help educate the wider community of just what makes PvP in D2 so special, because a ton of my PvE friends (which, lets face it, is most of the community) really don't get why I love the PvP in D2 so deeply. Additionally, I bet a lot of the work you did for the AE video could be rolled into this discussion. Just a suggestion, but I would absolutely love to hear your takes and opinions on this topic, and would really appreciate perspectives to draw on other than my own and my like, two buddies who play PvP. Whether or not you decide to talk about this all, it would be awesome if you could let me know if you've seen this suggestion. im in complete agreement on juju. its been my favorite pulse/exotic since d1, everything about it felt amazing to use. pve and pvp. in d2, its been lacking in both fields. however with witch queen buffing exotic primaries in pve, and haunted granting the forgiveness in pvp, its my favorite gun again.
Strawberries!! Also been using Juju since they announced Sunsetting. I'm sitting at over 8k crucible kills on it. The added forgiveness was much appreciated and needed. I do think it has kinda bad range tho. Which I suppose is understandable because it has steady rounds and hip fire grip. Just a little saddening because I lose duels to piece of mind,BxR, and NTTE more than anything. Goes to show it's a pulse meta tho. Anyways loved the vid! Keep up the content!

Man this video delivered as good as the first one did. Some of these were surprising but made sense, and your reasoning often aligned with my first impressions of the gun. The blurred gameplay when you make it to the elite / ruler categories are awesome as it adds suspense. I also enjoyed that, like last time, you left us with a surprise category. Chattering bone is an amazing weapon, I will die on this hill alone but it's a great feeling lightweight pulse that I love. I have only recently gotten to using it after I fell for bxr, which I love, but I wanted to get a kinetic one and I quickly learned that that there was only one legendary kinetic one. I got several rolls and I've been using a under pressure/rangefinder roll and it's great. Try a better roll and maybe you'll see where I'm coming from but great video ascendant, can't wait to see more!
Awesome video and gives some consideration for guns to try. Love Vig Wing with an Arthrys build. Have to give Bad Juju a try sometime. Wouldn't mind seeing a full review! Current fave fruit is raspberries.

My favorite pulse is finally on top of someone's list. Legal Action should be in the great category. I get consistent two burst kills; arrowhead, accurized, surplus, and rampage. Darkest Before should be in the great category as well. It's a laser on console with arrowhead, ricochet, surplus, and elemental capacitor.
As a pve main, Ogma is my go-to energy weapon for almost every endgame mission where champion mods permit it. I have like six different rolls of it but I mainly run a Wellspring/Demo or an Unrelenting/Firefly, both work great. Ogma is one of my favorite weapons hands down.
The moment I realized that No Time to Explain was not the numero uno, I actually started smiling and grinning after realizing it was my absolute favorite pulse in the game since I got it from the mission in the Trophy Hall. Bad Juju, and Dragonfruit. I love these videos as they fit very well into my usual thoughts about many of the weapons that I get, keep up the great work. The light provides.
Quality vid! I never got used to the sights on messenger, but New Purpose with On Your Mark or Ophidians is close enough that it's my main pulse right now. It definitely needs help to perform well though
I like how you opened by saying that an objectively bad gun can be great to some people because you put my favorite gun Jurassic Green in the bad tier. I've always loved the shooting feel of the gun and I have a 5/5 roll for me being the roll you showed but with a handling masterwork so it's a bit more snappy. I've always been impressed with how consistently I can comfortably reach people at the other end of map lanes and the recoil isn't too bad if you get its rhythm, and I'm on xbox so I get to worry about that recoil.

I love my Legal Action II, I have an Arrowhead, Steady rounds, Heating up, Frenzy roll that I’ve used for a very long time now, and the feel of the gun just draws me to the pulse like no other gun in the game does. At the absurd range it packs, the really high stability my roll has combined with the handling and reload frenzy provides during and after duels, it makes for an amazing experience.
I started maining Stars in Shadow because of your ranking of it, and gods above and below, is it devastating. The roll I have on it is Firmly Planted, Headseeker Fluted Barrel and Alloy Mags with a Stability Masterwork. This thing shreds, and while I could use my other favorite 340 rpm pulse, the NTTE, I just have way, WAY too much fun with Stars in Shadow that it gets me excited to play Crucible with it
As soon as you mentioned graviton Lance I pulled a memory out of the far reaches of my mind of when I was grinding my Valor Rank and was absolutely dominating with the graviton

I've been using Bad Juju for a while this season. Every time I adjust my loadout, I miss it. I feel like I can handle problems at any range with it and it just fuels my desire to drop nova bombs on points. I love it.
Ok, seeing you on solar trying to use collective obligation hurt my soul. The way it works is: you apply void effect to target, you suck up that void effect by shooting with le gun, and then u activate the perk when the big circle is lit, letting you know your effect is fully charged.
As a controller player I think Darkest Before is slightly underrated thanks to how good it feels running with Arrowhead + Ricochet + Tunnel Vision/Surplus + Elemental Capacitor. You can make out recoil direction with stasis or have absurd levels of stability with void and those clean sights made it feel impossible to miss as long as I was putting in the required effort.
I love what you did here. Great work, very informative, overall some great content that I will be sure to pass around to my fellow pulse loving players. My only gripe, not only did you not include Legal Action II, but you seemed to mock it. Here's the secret with LAII, if you get a good stability roll, with Arrowhead Break, Heating Up, and a damage perk, it is an absolute monster that IMHO might only be second to The Messenger (with the appropriate rolls) as a legendary 340. It's far too slept on, and if you happen to have one like that in your inventory, take her for a spin and I'm confident you'll be a believer and be apologizing to her soon after.
That shot at the Canadian housing market at the start hurts lol I like the video. As a pulse rifle enthusiast, I like them getting some attention over handcannons 24/7
New Purpose with perpetual motion feels pretty good even with the low handling and reload speed, and the bitterspite origin trait is basically free reload speed. Also, it has a recoil direction of 70, which means arrowhead brake will bump up the recoil to 100, unlike messenger's 90. This makes the New Purpose so good at hitting headshots, it's criminal. I understand that messenger is better because of it's stats and the fact that it can be adept, but putting new purpose in the okay tier feels like a low blow to me.
Nevermind the fact that with Arrowhead Brake, your mod slot is completely open to shore up the weapon with some other benefit, like Sprint Grip, Icarus, or etc with no penalty.
Even without arrowhead, with a CB mod it gets 85 recoil direction which is still vertical. I have a perp motion/desperado roll and I literally put 600 kills on it in 2 days. It's an absolute monster and like you said it's effortless to get precision shots. Insanely underrated. I agree with you 100%.

I used bad juju for the first time in over 2 years immediately after the patch and in my very first game i was chaining kills left and right which is something i cannot consistently do. I knew from that 1 game that this gun is an absolute monster and its just so fun to use too

Awesome Video! Also, Banshee has sold Legal Action II this season (Arrowhead-Acc-Heating up-Ad Junkie). New Purpose with Headstone is pretty great in 3v3 imo. Got a 49 mtr Jian with Firmly/Range. Chattering Bone god roll imo is Rangefinder-Headseeker to build into the lightweight forgiveness aspect.

Great content! I have been loving the battle rifle and I know it isn't a favorite but the Legal Action 2 with surplus and rampage just hits different for me. Idk, but I have some wild high kill games with the legal action 2.
Stars in Shadow gettin the respect it deserves, probs my fave long range primary bar 120s, appreciate the comprehensive nature yet easy watch your vids always are, hope all is well for you in this perpetually loved yet despised hell that is D2 pvp lol
Collective obligation with stag on a rift oriented void warlock... was particularly nasty. Child of the old god grants weakening and that weakening is picked up by it giving it a sort of kill clip that isn't reliant on reload. outside of that and PvE... it's not worth it. Syncopation (with enhanced moving target and enhanced headstone) was my first crafted weapon that I used to go flawless in trials when witch queen dropped. Bad Juju... is *chef's kiss* and nasty on well warlock with a stag rift. In a well... it's time to go all in and get your well back even faster.
I've got an OLD ass Last Perdition-- so old its got Drop Mag in the 2nd column-- that can still be raised to current power. Rangefinder/Snapshot. TOTAL workhorse. It's pure unobtainium now, but it kicks ass every time I bring it out. One of the greatest treasures in my vault, rarity aside.
I believe just about everyone can appreciate the work on these videos. I truly do believe that the Rapid - Fire pulses are great. I have a moving target adrenaline junky Grid that shreds as well as a heating up high impact reserves roll that also slaps. My darkest before has surplus and wellspring making it absolutely amazing for dueling. For anyone interested in what is the best, the answer is whatever feels best for you to use and what works for you to win duels. Because whatever is “meta” won’t always be meta for everyone.
Great video. Over time I’ve transitioned from scouts to pulses as my main (just can’t seem to get hand cannons still). Piece of Mind might be my new favorite all-time pulse rifle…well over 2200 kills with it and still going. But the case for some of the other elites is strong, so I may have to take those for a spin. Sadly, an adept Messenger eluded me…could never get flawless those weekends 😭. Good job as always.
Reporting back. I’m on controller and so far both Bad JuJu and No Time to Explain feel like garbage to use. I an not sure what people are seeing in either of those weapons. Like they are so bad compared to other pulses I can hardly finish a match without wanting to take them off
I have a legal action with surplus and rampage. I really think it's slept on. The potential for clean two bursts make it feel like a monster once you get it going
I was thinking the video is agreeable then you put my Outbreak in good tier. At that moment, I know this video is on point. Then come Bad Juju, just perfect. As a Pulse Rifle main, this video will be what I send everyone to when they ask which pulse they should use.
The problem with Graviton is that, in PVP on mouse and keyboard, it is a weapon that has lightweight damage, adaptive rate of fire, a negative aim assist on the shot that actually counts (and honestly every pulse seems like the opposite of Outbreak, the bloom is just abysmal an feels like a reverse-dynamic sway)
Great list, only one I quasi disagree with is outbreak in this particular meta. The nanites are an elite counter to the restoration and heal meta imo, especially if running in a fireteam with multiples. Other then that 👏
"Chattering Bone..." Oh I really liked this gun during Day 1 Vow and King's Fa- "...but that's kind of where the headlines end I'm afraid." Just found your channel, thank you this video, while I don’t pvp aside from the occasional trials, I do appreciate your take and commentary on all the different pulse rifles. They are my favorite weapon type in the game and your video has given me a good idea on which ones I want to try and grind for.

Man this video delivered as good as the first one did. Some of these were surprising but made sense, and your reasoning often aligned with my first impressions of the gun. Chattering bone is an amazing weapon, I will die on this hill alone but it's a great feeling lightweight pulse that I love. I have only recently gotten to using it after I fell for bxr, which I love, but I wanted to get a kinetic one and I quickly learned that that there was only one legendary kinetic one. I got several rolls and I've been using a under pressure/rangefinder roll and it's great. Try a better roll and maybe you'll see where I'm coming from but great video ascendant, can't wait to see more!

My favorite pulse is finally on top of someone's list. Legal Action should be in the great category. I get consistent two burst kills; arrowhead, accurized, surplus, and rampage. Darkest Before should be in the great category as well. It's a laser on console with arrowhead, ricochet, surplus, and elemental capacitor.
Agreed. I think Legal Action is S-tier with the right roll.
As a pve main, Ogma is my go-to energy weapon for almost every endgame mission where champion mods permit it. I have like six different rolls of it but I mainly run a Wellspring/Demo or an Unrelenting/Firefly, both work great. Ogma is one of my favorite weapons hands down.

The moment I realized that No Time to Explain was not the numero uno, I actually started smiling and grinning after realizing it was my absolute favorite pulse in the game since I got it from the mission in the Trophy Hall. Bad Juju, and Dragonfruit. I love these videos as they fit very well into my usual thoughts about many of the weapons that I get, keep up the great work.

Quality vid! I never got used to the sights on messenger, but New Purpose with On Your Mark or Ophidians is close enough that it's my main pulse right now. It definitely needs help to perform well though
I like how you opened by saying that an objectively bad gun can be great to some people because you put my favorite gun Jurassic Green in the bad tier. I've always loved the shooting feel of the gun and I have a 5/5 roll for me being the roll you showed but with a handling masterwork so it's a bit more snappy. I've always been impressed with how consistently I can comfortably reach people at the other end of map lanes and the recoil isn't too bad if you get its rhythm, and I'm on xbox so I get to worry about that recoil.

I love my Legal Action II, I have an Arrowhead, Steady rounds, Heating up, Frenzy roll that I’ve used for a very long time now, and the feel of the gun just draws me to the pulse like no other gun in the game does. At the absurd range it packs, the really high stability my roll has combined with the handling and reload frenzy provides during and after duels, it makes for an amazing experience.
I started maining Stars in Shadow because of your ranking of it, and gods above and below, is it devastating. The roll I have on it is Firmly Planted, Headseeker Fluted Barrel and Alloy Mags with a Stability Masterwork. This thing shreds, and while I could use my other favorite 340 rpm pulse, the NTTE, I just have way, WAY too much fun with Stars in Shadow that it gets me excited to play Crucible with it
As soon as you mentioned graviton Lance I pulled a memory out of the far reaches of my mind of when I was grinding my Valor Rank and was absolutely dominating with the graviton

I've been using Bad Juju for a while this season. Every time I adjust my loadout, I miss it. I feel like I can handle problems at any range with it and it just fuels my desire to drop nova bombs on points. I love it.

Ok, seeing you on solar trying to use collective obligation hurt my soul. The way it works is: you apply void effect to target, you suck up that void effect by shooting with le gun, and then u activate the perk when the big circle is lit, letting you know your effect is fully charged.

As a controller player I think Darkest Before is slightly underrated thanks to how good it feels running with Arrowhead + Ricochet + Tunnel Vision/Surplus + Elemental Capacitor. You can make out recoil direction with stasis or have absurd levels of stability with void and those clean sights made it feel impossible to miss as long as I was putting in the required effort.
Let's make sure to properly name this video ... "I ranked EVERY PULSE RIFLE for PVP use in Destiny 2"
I love what you did here. Great work, very informative, overall some great content that I will be sure to pass around to my fellow pulse loving players. My only gripe, not only did you not include Legal Action II, but you seemed to mock it. Here's the secret with LAII, if you get a good stability roll, with Arrowhead Break, Heating Up, and a damage perk, it is an absolute monster that IMHO might only be second to The Messenger (with the appropriate rolls) as a legendary 340. It's far too slept on, and if you happen to have one like that in your inventory, take her for a spin and I'm confident you'll be a believer and be apologizing to her soon after.

New Purpose with perpetual motion feels pretty good even with the low handling and reload speed, and the bitterspite origin trait is basically free reload speed. Also, it has a recoil direction of 70, which means arrowhead brake will bump up the recoil to 100, unlike messenger's 90. This makes the New Purpose so good at hitting headshots, it's criminal. I understand that messenger is better because of it's stats and the fact that it can be adept, but putting new purpose in the okay tier feels like a low blow to me.

Nevermind the fact that with Arrowhead Brake, your mod slot is completely open to shore up the weapon with some other benefit, like Sprint Grip, Icarus, or etc with no penalty.
Came here to something similar. This gun is criminally underrated.
Even without arrowhead, with a CB mod it gets 85 recoil direction which is still vertical. I have a perp motion/desperado roll and I literally put 600 kills on it in 2 days. It's an absolute monster and like you said it's effortless to get precision shots. Insanely underrated. I agree with you 100%.

I used bad juju for the first time in over 2 years immediately after the patch and in my very first game i was chaining kills left and right which is something i cannot consistently do. I knew from that 1 game that this gun is an absolute monster and its just so fun to use too

Awesome Video! Also, Banshee has sold Legal Action II this season (Arrowhead-Acc-Heating up-Ad Junkie). New Purpose with Headstone is pretty great in 3v3 imo. Got a 49 mtr Jian with Firmly/Range. Chattering Bone god roll imo is Rangefinder-Headseeker to build into the lightweight forgiveness aspect.

I have been loving the battle rifle and I know it isn't a favorite but the Legal Action 2 with surplus and rampage just hits different for me. Idk, but I have some wild high kill games with the legal action 2.

Collective obligation with stag on a rift oriented void warlock... was particularly nasty. Child of the old god grants weakening and that weakening is picked up by it giving it a sort of kill clip that isn't reliant on reload. outside of that and PvE... it's not worth it. Syncopation (with enhanced moving target and enhanced headstone) was my first crafted weapon that I used to go flawless in trials when witch queen dropped. Bad Juju... is *chef's kiss* and nasty on well warlock with a stag rift. In a well... it's time to go all in and get your well back even faster.
I've got an OLD ass Last Perdition-- so old its got Drop Mag in the 2nd column-- that can still be raised to current power. Rangefinder/Snapshot.
TOTAL workhorse.
It's pure unobtainium now, but it kicks ass every time I bring it out. One of the greatest treasures in my vault, rarity aside.

I truly do believe that the Rapid - Fire pulses are great. I have a moving target adrenaline junky Grid that shreds as well as a heating up high impact reserves roll that also slaps. My darkest before has surplus and wellspring making it absolutely amazing for dueling. For anyone interested in what is the best, the answer is whatever feels best for you to use and what works for you to win duels. Because whatever is “meta” won’t always be meta for everyone.
Great video. Over time I’ve transitioned from scouts to pulses as my main (just can’t seem to get hand cannons still). Piece of Mind might be my new favorite all-time pulse rifle…well over 2200 kills with it and still going. But the case for some of the other elites is strong, so I may have to take those for a spin. Sadly, an adept Messenger eluded me…could never get flawless those weekends 😭. Good job as always.
Reporting back. I’m on controller and so far both Bad JuJu and No Time to Explain feel like garbage to use. I an not sure what people are seeing in either of those weapons. Like they are so bad compared to other pulses I can hardly finish a match without wanting to take them off

I was thinking the video is agreeable then you put my Outbreak in good tier. At that moment, I know this video is on point. Then come Bad Juju, just perfect. As a Pulse Rifle main, this video will be what I send everyone to when they ask which pulse they should use.
Update: Graviton Lance is meta now
The problem with Graviton is that, in PVP on mouse and keyboard, it is a weapon that has lightweight damage, adaptive rate of fire, a negative aim assist on the shot that actually counts (and honestly every pulse seems like the opposite of Outbreak, the bloom is just abysmal an feels like a reverse-dynamic sway)

Great list, only one I quasi disagree with is outbreak in this particular meta. The nanites are an elite counter to the restoration and heal meta imo, especially if running in a fireteam with multiples. Other then that 👏
