I just received mine too and they are really worth the upgrade from the old Pro! Sound quality has noticeably been improved and now they don’t “scream” anymore, if you lay with them against a pillow, like the old ones did, that’s actually huge! - I can really tell that transparency mode (my preferred mode) has been improved too - and if you get them engraved directly from Apple, the engraving even show up in the 3D animation which shows every time you connect them to your iPhone 🤯😂 All in all, classic Apple magic!
The scream when you lay against the pillow is a manufacturing issue and if you go into an apple store you get new first gen pro for free. Had mine for 2 1/2 years, no receipt no anything and they gave me new first gen pros no questions asked!

I am leaning towards getting the AirPods Pro 2 but I am really sceptical because I don’t want to repeat the static and hissing noice issues that were in the gen 1 AirPods Pro. I am still facing those issue despite getting them replaced 2 times. I think waiting for 2-4 months and getting a full on review and then buying one is a better option.
As somebody who owned the Sony XM4’s, I really didn’t notice much of a difference with the ANC but the comfort is what made me return the Sony’s and pick up the 2nd Gen. They don’t hurt your ears at all for someone like myself who likes to lay in bed and watch some TH-cam or Netflix before knocking out.
I have went back and forth about actually getting the new AirPods. I've had the XM4s long enough that I can't return them, but doesn't the XM4s trounce them in sound quality? I know on features the AirPods should handily win. I prefer the way my Beats integrate with my iPhone than my XM4s which tells me I'd prefer the interaction of AirPods.
@@HeathRS You will love the new AirPods Pro’s if you like having that Apple combination. They sound way better than the Beats Fit Pro and you can literally wear them all day without having any discomfort. You will lose that feature of custom setting your EQ like with the XM4’s so you would have to go into your settings and find the right EQ that suits you. They’re amazing and I don’t regret switching at all.

2nd Gen is gonna be every introvert's (like myself) favorite now that the noise cancelling is even quieter 😂 sometimes social events filled with extroverts can get too loud and rowdy, this will be a life saver for me. Edit: went to the store and bought one, used it on the usually loud intersection in my city, I can say, they've definitely improved the noise-cancelling and the sound quality! The sound is more defined compare to my 1st gen!

I have never heard a single soul say the airpod 3’s sound better than the pros. And it doesn’t make sense that they would. The standard pros were already better, and the pro 2’s are better than the pros.
So since the airpods' transparency mode supposedly protects against loud sudden noises, could I theoretically use them at a shooting range as ear protection while simultaneously hearing everyone else talk just fine?

The noise cancellation is crazy on this generation. Its a little surprising if your in a room with a lot of air movement. I like the ear pad sizes as well there are smaller ones and it seems to fit ears better than the mediums ones that come with it. Large are crazy big...
I finally decided to go for an upgrade from the 1st gen regular airpods I've had since early 2017. I feel this upgrade was much needed, especially considering I can barely get an hour of battery at medium volume with my current airpods!

The multiple charging option is the reason why Apple is getting rid of the lightning port soon, skipping the USB-C port for a portless device whether its an iPhone or any Apple device. Knowing Apple they are not afraid to do this type of move.
I'm glad they really are better than gen 1. Can't wait for these to go on sale on black friday. Unfortunately Apple raised their prices pretty much everywhere but in the US. In Europe they are 299€ now, while gen 1 can regularly be found for 190-200€
What I really want to add to this and what maybe will help a lot of people out.. when using Spotify go to the equalizer and change it manually you can look on the internet for very good eq curves wich really improve bass quality also for the AirPods Pro 1e gen !!
Just got mine and they are mind blowing! Spatial audio and noise cancelation is such a game changer. Feel like listening to the uniqueness of a record in a quiet room for the first time. Amazing!
OK, I can honestly say Apple hit this one out of the park. Everything I wished the originals had is now in this perfect package. The sound is DRAMATICALLY better, rivaling my Sennheiser over-ear bluetooth headphones, and they get even louder. My flights just got easier. The ANC is also much improved to the point that it may be too good to use at work now, as someone will have to poke me to get my attention. Finally, the number of times I've lost these in my house and searched for them for hours... I'll now be able to easily locate them. My only criticism is that the volume control on the stem is a bit finicky, but I'll probably get it after some practice. If you buy (which is a no-brainer) make sure to buy from Apple so you can get the free engraving. I added my first name and phone number on the case.
That’s exactly my opinion…the new AirPods Pro are better than the original in every way. I like that not only are these louder but the sound is more full at low volumes so I can listen to podcasts and music at 50%-60% volume and not always have to go full blast to enjoy what I’m listening to. The touch volume controls are great once you master them. I learned that resting your thumb on the back of the earbud stem first and then swiping down works every time
The only thing that annoys me with the airpods pro is they are really inconsistent when you have multiple devices. Sometimes they just won't connect, sometimes they will, sometimes they try to change devices randomly and out of context. When they work properly, I love them, when they don't, I want to turn them into refuse.
@@TheRIkkyP For Airpods Pro, Apple has “seamless device switching” and for me, it hasn’t been seamless at all. It’s glued to one device and sometimes randomly disconnects to reconnect to another device.
This has been fixed now because the APP 2’s can simultaneously connect to two devices at the same time so no need to switch. I suspect this is why apple never put the time in to fix handover issue.

Airpods pro 2 imo are worth it if you owned the 1st gen for a long time. Especially when the battery degrades overtime. Ive owned mine for a few years now. Time for an upgrade.
The 1st gen with the long stem is the best in terms of ear comfortabilities. I have the 1st Apros and my ears hurt after a while even with smaller ear tips
I have had my AirPods gen 1’s for about 3 yrs now. The battery hardly lasts and hour and the right bud doesn’t work… I ordered the pro gen 2’s this morning and they arrive Friday, I’m so excited!
Really excited to get mine tomorrow. I’m also currently using the beats fit pro but the anc update, sound quality improvement and volume touch control is hard to resist. I do have the airpods max but there’re obviously not as comfortable and convenient as the airpods and airpods pro.
hey just thought i would let you now, transparency mode isn’t really changed in the fact you can hear people better, it’s changed so you can hear everything around you the same, but it still tones down extremely sounds, like so you can still hear people even if there’s like an ambulance siren

Just picked these up today and was quite shocked on how good the sound quality was especially compared to the AirPod max , while the noise cancellation was better on the max for me the sound quality seemed on par so well chuffed . Oh great vid again 👍

These updates are nice but I think it would be better if Apple made the switch to USB-C and offered different colors. It's weird that even on the iPhone, the 'Pro' versions don't have these industry standard things; USB-C and different colors. The Airpods Pro isn't a cheap thing. Apple should do more to make their products feel more premium, or at least match industry standard practices.
Why USB-C so important to a lot of people? It still a charging port like lightning. I have seen a lot ppl talking about how the lack of USB-C is a deal breaker on iPhones, AirPods etc…

I have a feeling they had to release this version with Lightning this year, so they can re-release it when USB-C is required on everything and when the prices of these airpods have dropped. That way they can sell the new ones with USB-C (but same earbuds) for the original price again. They did that with the magsafe compatible case, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did it again. Different colors would be the next thing after USB-C.
Firstly, I did hate so much the airport first gen. Then, fall in love just after trying one time. Stay with this brand through, AirPods Pro, Airpods Max and now after two years on the go with the APPro, I definitely will buy this new APP2. Looking forward to much for the 2x ANC (with me the APP 1st already the best in the market even with Sony WF4), and the better sound quality. 👍👏. @@MohitPandey012 they have had some issues at launch but as far as I know they have been resolved. At 180 they're a great buy, sure it won't be the latest and greatest but still very solid anc and the best transparant mode out there. Sound is good and fit is great for me aswell. Added bonus is the integration you get when you own an iPhone. (Tested on an OnePlus 7 pro so I can't really speak to the iOS integration)

UrAvgConsumer I love my AirPods Pro 2, they fit nicely they don’t fall out and the sound quality is nice especially when you are watching a movie you brought on Apple TV it feels like you are actually at the movies

Fun fact. The original AirPods Pro’s kinda have this feature after you update to iOS 16. The only difference is that you can’t see the arrows when looking for them
The tracking feature? You can only track the AirPods themselves not the case but even then, you could always do it before ios 16. I think they enabled it with an early version of iOS 15
Hey amazing video! All love, but I just wanted to give some feedback on the audio set up; where you have that lav mic clipped is notoriously one of the worst spots for it, you end up with an extremely throaty and inconsistent sound, as you can hear in the video as you head moves and you look up or down it’s like the mic gets snuffed out, covered, and makes for a distracting, inconsistent, and less desirable viewing experience. When using a lav mic I would recommend buying some fabric guards (only couple of bucks) and place it in the middle of your chest for the cleanest and most consistent sound. If you search up “Hiding a Lav Mic in a T-Shirt” that the video where I first started learning. Today in my business personally I don’t enjoy using lav mic unless absolutely necessary / as a backup audio track. Lav mic’s are great for moving subjects where you really need clarity of their voice as the actor or person moves out and about and around, I understand the convenience in many many cases. But what I’ve noticed in your latest videos is that at least for these A-roll shots you really aren’t moving around, you’re standing still in one spot talking to your main camera the whole time. A decent $200-$400 shotgun / boom mic will do you absolute wonders for your a-roll shots and it will require no set up on your part; you just stand on a little piece of tape on the floor (if you choose) and hit record. Again nothing wrong with the lav if you wanna stick with it but I think an extra 5 minutes of learning and a few extra seconds before recording will seriously go a long way. For some context I own and operate a media production company, studied sound engineering, and do this stuff almost daily. Anyways do with this what you will again all love and thanks for the awesome videos and consumer POV’s! My AirPods 2 come in tomorrow 👏🏼!!

I’m currently looking for new earbuds and can’t decide which to go for. I’ve always used previous apple/beats earbuds and they’ve always served me well, but can’t decide which to go for this time; Power beats pro, beats fit pro or air pods pro 2. I listen to music, a lot. When commuting, studying, hiking, chilling… but mostly when at the gym, running or playing sport. So I need ones that I know will stay in my ears regardless of movement, have great sound quality and good noise cancellation whilst still being able to hear the world around me. Anyone got any hot tips or recommendations to separate these and help my decision?

While I loved the original Pros, I could never get them to stay in my ears very well, so I ultimately returned mine. I’m curious if that new extra small ear tip will make the difference as I’ve got pretty small ear canals.
Possibly. You can also buy a box (they're inexpensive) of alcohol wipes from your local Walgreens/Target/Walmart and wipe your ear canals and the silicone tips of the air pods prior to use. This was recommended to those who had issues with the air pods falling out. The alcohol wipes removes any oil residue, thus making a more snug fit for the pods in your air. Helps me!
i feel like new airpods every 3 years is perfect..the battery of my first gen airpods pro really sucks after 3 years of heavy useage, so it was a nobrainer for me to buy the new ones...all the reviews are pretty good so far so im excited about tomorrow
I love them. Improvement over the originals-which were already pretty good. New/noise cancelation is really good. With everyone coming back into the office, many have forgotten how to use their inside voices. I didn’t want to bring in my apple headphones, so this will be a more subtle way to avoid these hu distraction. Finally, more time, improved sound and battery, same price, I recommend even if you already have AirPods Pros and AirPods 3, it’s a great addition.
I had a big problem with mic using gen 1. People didn’t hear me well during my call when I was outdoors. Hope to see some improvement in this direction.

I have exactly the same problem with the Pro 1. The people I'm on call with hear me very badly. Also when I send voice messages with my Pro 1, my voice sounds muffled and distant. I hope that the Pro 2 are better on this point...
I'm very curious now to try the AirPods Pro 2 out now that I've just got the 1s. Already very happy with the sound quality and noise cancellation - especially since I got them for $50CAD off. Can't help but wonder if the newer ones are actually worth the extra cash.
I personally wouldnt trust the lanyard. In my experience, the case on the og pros can flip open really easy. If you jumped with them hanging on a lanyard, the case would probably flip open, and the pods would hop out.
Hello everyone, for those who have had the opportunity to test/use these earbuds, what do you think of the quality of the microphones of these buds for calling ? I’ve never had airpods and I’ve been wanting to buy ones since I own several apple products but I’ve always been a little bit skeptical about the quality of wireless earbuds when it comes to making phone and video calls. Since I spend quite a lot of time on calls, I’d like to choose a good option. If you have any recommendations, I’d be very grateful to read them.
Just got the AirPod pro 2 and I’m honestly underwhelmed. The sounds great but noise canceling is not up to par on the wf1000xm4 (btw Sony Ya need a better name for these). Transparency is the same if not better. They’re better just not as good for noise canceling as the wf1000xm4.
Your ears will take some time getting used to the new shape, but totally worth it. I got the original Pros when the first came out after using the regular AirPods for abt a year. It felt kinda uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it eventually (took me like a month actually). And there’s no going back after hearing the sound quality on the Pros, plus noise cancellation and transparency mode is amazing :)
Mine are coming in Thursday 🎉 I got a case for them which are coming in Monday so I’m gonna have the case but no air pods for almost a week. These are going to be the first air pods I am gonna have and I just switched to Apple in December I switched from the Samsung 9+ to the iPhone 11 pro so I can’t wait

same i had mine replaced twice and the crackle sound issue keeps coming back. hopefully Apple has eliminated that flaw

The noise cancellation is crazy on this generation. Its a little surprising if your in a room with a lot of air movement. I like the ear pad sizes as well there are smaller ones and it seems to fit ears better than the mediums ones that come with it. Large are crazy big...

As someone with the Pros I’m honestly gonna upgrade bc I’ve had mine since January 2020
I finally decided to go for an upgrade from the 1st gen regular airpods I've had since early 2017. I feel this upgrade was much needed, especially considering I can barely get an hour of battery at medium volume with my current airpods!

@@louisvl10 Honestly, its on and off. Sometimes I use them all the time, like when walking to classes and when studying, but then theres times where I could go days without them. I'm just finally happy to upgrade, especially when I typically run things to their death.

The multiple charging option is the reason why Apple is getting rid of the lightning port soon, skipping the USB-C port for a portless device whether its an iPhone or any Apple device. Knowing Apple they are not afraid to do this type of move.

What I really want to add to this and what maybe will help a lot of people out.. when using Spotify go to the equalizer and change it manually you can look on the internet for very good eq curves wich really improve bass quality also for the AirPods Pro 1e gen !!
Just got mine and they are mind blowing! Spatial audio and noise cancelation is such a game changer. Feel like listening to the uniqueness of a record in a quiet room for the first time. Amazing!
One of the only TH-camrs that makes their video in the scale to fit the iPhone 14 barely hitting the island.
OK, I can honestly say Apple hit this one out of the park. Everything I wished the originals had is now in this perfect package. The sound is DRAMATICALLY better, rivaling my Sennheiser over-ear bluetooth headphones, and they get even louder. My flights just got easier. The ANC is also much improved to the point that it may be too good to use at work now, as someone will have to poke me to get my attention. Finally, the number of times I've lost these in my house and searched for them for hours... I'll now be able to easily locate them. My only criticism is that the volume control on the stem is a bit finicky, but I'll probably get it after some practice.
If you buy (which is a no-brainer) make sure to buy from Apple so you can get the free engraving. I added my first name and phone number on the case.

That’s exactly my opinion…the new AirPods Pro are better than the original in every way. I like that not only are these louder but the sound is more full at low volumes so I can listen to podcasts and music at 50%-60% volume and not always have to go full blast to enjoy what I’m listening to.
The touch volume controls are great once you master them. I learned that resting your thumb on the back of the earbud stem first and then swiping down works every time
Got these yesterday right after watching your review. I usually wait for MKBHD review but this was solid and quite convincing.
The only thing that annoys me with the airpods pro is they are really inconsistent when you have multiple devices. Sometimes they just won't connect, sometimes they will, sometimes they try to change devices randomly and out of context. When they work properly, I love them, when they don't, I want to turn them into refuse.
I have the same issue with my Bose QC II. I don’t think it’s exclusive to AirPods.
@@TheRIkkyP For Airpods Pro, Apple has “seamless device switching” and for me, it hasn’t been seamless at all. It’s glued to one device and sometimes randomly disconnects to reconnect to another device.
This has been fixed now because the APP 2’s can simultaneously connect to two devices at the same time so no need to switch. I suspect this is why apple never put the time in to fix handover issue.

Airpods pro 2 imo are worth it if you owned the 1st gen for a long time. Especially when the battery degrades overtime. Ive owned mine for a few years now. Time for an upgrade.
The 1st gen with the long stem is the best in terms of ear comfortabilities. I have the 1st Apros and my ears hurt after a while even with smaller ear tips

I have had my AirPods gen 1’s for about 3 yrs now. The battery hardly lasts and hour and the right bud doesn’t work… I ordered the pro gen 2’s this morning and they arrive Friday, I’m so excited!
Really excited to get mine tomorrow. I’m also currently using the beats fit pro but the anc update, sound quality improvement and volume touch control is hard to resist. I do have the airpods max but there’re obviously not as comfortable and convenient as the airpods and airpods pro.
Can u please tell your beats fit pro sound experience. Is they better than powerbeats pro ?

hey just thought i would let you now, transparency mode isn’t really changed in the fact you can hear people better, it’s changed so you can hear everything around you the same, but it still tones down extremely sounds, like so you can still hear people even if there’s like an ambulance siren

My gen 1 airpods pro just stopped working all of a sudden. And now im 100% convinced to get these.
Just picked these up today and was quite shocked on how good the sound quality was especially compared to the AirPod max , while the noise cancellation was better on the max for me the sound quality seemed on par so well chuffed . Oh great vid again 👍

These updates are nice but I think it would be better if Apple made the switch to USB-C and offered different colors. It's weird that even on the iPhone, the 'Pro' versions don't have these industry standard things; USB-C and different colors. The Airpods Pro isn't a cheap thing. Apple should do more to make their products feel more premium, or at least match industry standard practices.

I have a feeling they had to release this version with Lightning this year, so they can re-release it when USB-C is required on everything and when the prices of these airpods have dropped. That way they can sell the new ones with USB-C (but same earbuds) for the original price again. They did that with the magsafe compatible case, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did it again. Different colors would be the next thing after USB-C.

Stay with this brand through, AirPods Pro, Airpods Max and now after two years on the go with the APPro, I definitely will buy this new APP2. @@MohitPandey012 they have had some issues at launch but as far as I know they have been resolved. At 180 they're a great buy, sure it won't be the latest and greatest but still very solid anc and the best transparant mode out there.
Sound is good and fit is great for me aswell. Added bonus is the integration you get when you own an iPhone.
(Tested on an OnePlus 7 pro so I can't really speak to the iOS integration)

@@luckylandy2945 hell yea but only in off mode so the noise cancelation and transparency modes sound weird at first they weren’t to bad but 2 years later they sound bad. But with those 2 off they sound perfectly normal and all functionality still work like press control mics and stuff

Fun fact. The original AirPods Pro’s kinda have this feature after you update to iOS 16. The only difference is that you can’t see the arrows when looking for them
The tracking feature? You can only track the AirPods themselves not the case but even then, you could always do it before ios 16. I think they enabled it with an early version of iOS 15

Hey amazing video! All love, but I just wanted to give some feedback on the audio set up; where you have that lav mic clipped is notoriously one of the worst spots for it, you end up with an extremely throaty and inconsistent sound, as you can hear in the video as you head moves and you look up or down it’s like the mic gets snuffed out, covered, and makes for a distracting, inconsistent, and less desirable viewing experience. When using a lav mic I would recommend buying some fabric guards (only couple of bucks) and place it in the middle of your chest for the cleanest and most consistent sound. If you search up “Hiding a Lav Mic in a T-Shirt” that the video where I first started learning. Today in my business personally I don’t enjoy using lav mic unless absolutely necessary / as a backup audio track. Lav mic’s are great for moving subjects where you really need clarity of their voice as the actor or person moves out and about and around, I understand the convenience in many many cases. But what I’ve noticed in your latest videos is that at least for these A-roll shots you really aren’t moving around, you’re standing still in one spot talking to your main camera the whole time. A decent $200-$400 shotgun / boom mic will do you absolute wonders for your a-roll shots and it will require no set up on your part; you just stand on a little piece of tape on the floor (if you choose) and hit record. Again nothing wrong with the lav if you wanna stick with it but I think an extra 5 minutes of learning and a few extra seconds before recording will seriously go a long way. For some context I own and operate a media production company, studied sound engineering, and do this stuff almost daily. Anyways do with this what you will again all love and thanks for the awesome videos and consumer POV’s! My AirPods 2 come in tomorrow 👏🏼!!

I’m currently looking for new earbuds and can’t decide which to go for. I’ve always used previous apple/beats earbuds and they’ve always served me well, but can’t decide which to go for this time; Power beats pro, beats fit pro or air pods pro 2.
I listen to music, a lot. When commuting, studying, hiking, chilling… but mostly when at the gym, running or playing sport. So I need ones that I know will stay in my ears regardless of movement, have great sound quality and good noise cancellation whilst still being able to hear the world around me.
Anyone got any hot tips or recommendations to separate these and help my decision?

While I loved the original Pros, I could never get them to stay in my ears very well, so I ultimately returned mine. I’m curious if that new extra small ear tip will make the difference as I’ve got pretty small ear canals.
Possibly. You can also buy a box (they're inexpensive) of alcohol wipes from your local Walgreens/Target/Walmart and wipe your ear canals and the silicone tips of the air pods prior to use. This was recommended to those who had issues with the air pods falling out. The alcohol wipes removes any oil residue, thus making a more snug fit for the pods in your air. Helps me!

i feel like new airpods every 3 years is perfect..the battery of my first gen airpods pro really sucks after 3 years of heavy useage, so it was a nobrainer for me to buy the new ones...all the reviews are pretty good so far so im excited about tomorrow
I love them. Improvement over the originals-which were already pretty good. New/noise cancelation is really good. With everyone coming back into the office, many have forgotten how to use their inside voices. I didn’t want to bring in my apple headphones, so this will be a more subtle way to avoid these hu distraction.
Finally, more time, improved sound and battery, same price, I recommend even if you already have AirPods Pros and AirPods 3, it’s a great addition.
The stems are different you now have volume control
I had a big problem with mic using gen 1. People didn’t hear me well during my call when I was outdoors. Hope to see some improvement in this direction.

I have exactly the same problem with the Pro 1. The people I'm on call with hear me very badly. Also when I send voice messages with my Pro 1, my voice sounds muffled and distant. I hope that the Pro 2 are better on this point...

I personally wouldnt trust the lanyard. In my experience, the case on the og pros can flip open really easy. If you jumped with them hanging on a lanyard, the case would probably flip open, and the pods would hop out.

Just got the AirPod pro 2 and I’m honestly underwhelmed. The sounds great but noise canceling is not up to par on the wf1000xm4 (btw Sony Ya need a better name for these). Transparency is the same if not better.
They’re better just not as good for noise canceling as the wf1000xm4.
As someone who is still using the original AirPods (not the pros) I’m super excited for the upgrade! Much needed! 🙏🏼
Your ears will take some time getting used to the new shape, but totally worth it. I got the original Pros when the first came out after using the regular AirPods for abt a year. It felt kinda uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it eventually (took me like a month actually). And there’s no going back after hearing the sound quality on the Pros, plus noise cancellation and transparency mode is amazing :)
