I'm Stefan and a bit old (70 years old) . I've never done a programmatic vu meter before, I'm putting the electronics together, but help me start by writing a 30 led RGB vu meter program. You installed a program that is in hexagonal form, I wanted to rewrite the number of ledds, but I can't open it and I don't know what to do! So I bought the parts, but until I know what to do next, I won't do it without a program, why? I would appreciate it if you could help ,my respects !

Dear Cine-Lights thanks for sharing such a nice project. I have built one for myself and its look really great. Sir I want to modify your code and need to add an microphone in it. So is there any chance to share your source code?
Awesome job like always. It sure sucks that you feel like you can only share your code in such a way to make editing I'm guessing impossible. When learning to code looking at other people's code is about the best way.
Using other people's code is often a real time saver as well. Here you have known working code that it is often much easier to tweak to do what it is you wish it to do rather than start from scratch. That is if the functions does a similar thing. I'm surely not talking about blatantly stealing other people's code and calling it your own.
Hey Anthony, yes I'm sorry it has to be that way. It does also make things easier for the beginners and for me. No issues with incorrect libraries being installed , or fighting with problems with compiling.

Hello dude, when I examined the previous codes, you collected the animations from other internet examples. That's why you used 2 different libraries for animations: fastled and neopixel. I rewrote one of your old works and converted all neopixel codes to fastled. In this way, I used a single library(fastled) in the project and there was more free space in the ram. I can use more leds or animations.I highly recommend you.

So, i have an Arduino Nano, 2 x 1m strips of WS2812 each with 60 LEDs though for my project I'm going to cut them down so it'll be 50 LEDs for each strip, I have a 5A power supply and the necessary resistors and Capacitors, anything else you need to know ?

Are you sure the capacitor in your plan is in the right direction? +should go to the arduino pin and - to the audio out
@@Grubengrabgeraet the circuit isn't my design. I have a mono version which is wired as you have just mentioned. And the stereo wired as in the pictures. I have tested both ways and to be honest I can not tell any difference.
@@Grubengrabgeraet I give a signal to the "minus" capacitor, and pin + goes to through the resistor to the + 5V controller. It works too.

Hey Paulo, the only of adding more patterns is reducing the amount of leds that can be used, more leds means more memory. i could squeeze one more pattern in but then may run into memory issues.

I am at the end of my project but the files you have are too many lights to suit my project. is it possible to request a 5x 20 LED or a 4x 25 LED. i assume since the Nano can control 2x 70 LEDs that means 5x 20 or 4 x 25 should be ok. thanks again for a great project. ill be awaiting your reply. keep healthy

Sorry but you are not giving your arduino sketches, so we can't modify them for the correct number of leds we have. If you don't want to share it, that"s fair enough. But can you just give us the possibility to modify with a text file some parameters using a Card Reader ?

I have seen your project with Arduino nano where brightnes and sensivity can be modified but there is mono mode. Can it be ajustable with ard. nano on stereo mode? Hi.. with bootloader. Damaging a boot loader isn't that easy, but if you do it is very simple to reburn another one.

hello there, today i got my arduino nano. i was eager to get started on the project. first i installed arduino on my pc. plugged in the arduino i uploaded the blink program to the nano. it worked. then i opend
xloader and i wanted to upload the hex file. Selected the right port and clicked upload. How long does it take to upload the hex file? it`s bin more than 10 minutes and he`s stil not done!? sometimes the rx led is flashing. What i`m i doing wrong?
