1:30 when I saw that spring up before it said "hometree" I was like "NANI?"
there was once in REAL LIFE a tree that tall, but it was felled in the 1890s, it was a coast douglas fir by vancover, it was 465 ft tall! if it were alive today, it would be 480 feet tall, but a lumber company cut it. the tree was skiny, only 10 feet wide, and only 450 years old, it was still growing, the trees name, Nooksack Giant.

Same can be said about redwood. Loggers took all the 400 and 450 foot redwoods. Why are you mixing apples with oranges by comparing tallest logged-off of one species to the tallest living of another? You must be a Democrat or a writer for the NY Times.
And loggers in Australia took all the 400 foot eucalyptus (called "ash" in this video for no reason.)
The thing is, many of the really large trees, 500+ often start having decay in the center near the bottum.

I like the visual, but you might have wanted to dig a bit deeper on sourcing the heights. That's more like an average height for Salix nigra, Quercus alba is not the tallest oak, etc. Would have been nice to include perhaps the tallest temperate broadleaf tree- Tuliptree, Liriodendron tulipifera (58.5m/192 ft), or one of the tallest tropical broadleaf trees (record is now up to 90m in southeast asia).
That reminded me of the World Tree from Hunter X Hunter. We learned the World Tree on there continent was over 1000 feet tall.
Then, we were told it was only a stunted sapling.
An adult World Tree would've had its own climate, weather, and even lava erupted from it. While being many many times larger.
