There are dozens of different humanoid races in One Piece. Some as common as the normal humans, the Giants or the Minks, and some as rare as Lunarians (King's race) or Kuma's race. My theory is that some supposedly normal humans like Dragon, Garp, Lucci, Whitebeard, etc, that are 2.5, 3, 4, 6 meters tall, get to be so big because some of their ancestors were part of one of those demi-giant humanoid races. Whitebeard's grandfather or grandgrandfather could have easily been part of Kuma's race/tribe, thus explaining why he's almost as tall as him

Honestly, it's amazing how many unique character designs One Piece have. It's being more than 25 years since the beginning of the manga and Oda still somehow making more of them.

It's more like you need to be tall to be strong enough to be a relevant character.
Note that the tallest characters here tend to be on Emperors' crews.

It probably didn't. 200 meters rise might be a lot, but not that much in comparison. Zunesha's feet are submerged several kilometers deep.
The waters of the one piece planet are way deeper than even the Mariana trench’s challenger deep, deep enough for an oversized elephant with long legs to walk in, it was said that zunesha once walked on land, but after committing a mysterious crime (probably stepping and destroying urban areas) he was punished by walking on water for all eternity, imagine being jailed for that long and getting life support to make you suffer for a long time!!

For reference to real world objects, Blackbeard is roughly the size of an Asian elephant, Dorry and Broggy are roughly the same size as a blue whale, Surume is larger than some cruise ships, the Queen Mama Chanter is larger than the world’s largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, The Gates of Justice are taller than Tokyo Sky Tree, the world’s tallest tower, and Zunesha is taller than Olympus Mons, the tallest mountain in the Solar System. All this to say, One Piece sizes go crazy.
Now please could you do lord of the rings and hobbits movies together or do a full Tolkien universe... I wanna see black dragon, "Ancalagon the Black" in action...
Only issue being that Ancalagon would be based in guesswork, though you could probably come up with a range of sizes they're probably in. Maybe showing one version as a lower bound (smaller) and one as an upper bound (larger)

Fun fact: If you shrink the earth to the size of a regular sized globe. You could still see zeunisha walking on it.
(Edit: That is if you are using (depending on the persons eyesight) a 12 inch globe if your eyesight is very good and 16 inch globe or a bit more if it’s not very good. While looking very closely but still impressive tho)

Not canonically, it’s just anime being inconsistent in it’s heights. Big mom canonically is 880 cm tall while Kaido is 710 cm tall, at least in human form.
