I don't think it's common to actually dislike trees, other than invasive species like the American sitka spruce we have here in Western Norway that doesn't belong here (it's an American/Alaskan tree that came in the 60s and it grows everywhere now).
But do you appreciate the mightiest tree of all? Well that if you know what that tree is but I will tell it’s the tree Sidra Al Muntaha which is the point that every single Angle every single prophet messenger and every other living creatures knowledge’s ends after that point and many scientists theorised as to what it actually is and there many theories about but the theory that I see to make the most sense of all is a tree not a giant not a giga sized one but a mighty sized one in fact because this theory to be true therefore I believe it’s a fact not just a theory I think it’s the mightiest tree God ever created and beyond that tree is knowledge our brains can’t withstand and I doubt it would even withstand the answer and the explanation of one of God’s secrets which is…the soul
Note: Also I have something to prove that (mighty) tree’s existence which is Mount Qaf which is the Biggest and Tallest mountain of all mountains God ever created and stick in on earth also Mount Qaf holds and connect the Firmament’s or the earth’s dome edges to another Great Mountain for which that Mountain’s name is unknown but nonetheless every simple aspect of our life has a greater version that plays a really important role in our world and or the universe or it is just there to be an example to us humans and that’s all…for now and peace be upon you.

I have seen half of these trees. The Coast Redwood is truly amazing. It is impossible to overstate just how awe inspiring they are.
he labeled it coast redwood (genus _Sequoia_ ) but he's got a picture of a giant sequoia (genus _Sequoiadendron_ ) up there. It even has snow at its base, like a giant sequoia forest but unlike a coast redwood forest where it typically doesn't snow.

I hiked thru coastal redwoods in CA and 200'+ cedars in Glacier National Park in MT. In both places, I found it impossible to really see individual trees well enough to be amazed by it. You don't ever get a clear, good view. All the surrounding trees are big too, and it quickly becomes 'normal'. But it was still beautiful!
This makes me want to plant an apple tree in my yard.
EDIT: Also can we talk about how crazy it is that a tiny plant like the Dwarf Willow is still a "woody plant" and thus technically a tree despite being ground cover? Astounding.
Dad planted several varieties of apple trees on our property, and has two right next to his bedroom window. Those specific two took twenty years to get to the size they are now, about 12-15ish feet high. Go for it if you can, you won't regret it. >:D

The Philippines' national tree called Narra grows up to 35 meters tall and has foliage similar in lushness to the sycamore in the video. It's an impressive looking tree.
That look from under the trees is really good. It helps to see us how they are really big is with a true perspective. Please keep on doing it.

I lived in Northern California for a while. I’ve been all over the world, and it’s still the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in my life. We actually found the world’s tallest tree by happenstance. It’s unmarked so as to ward off excess foot traffic, graffiti, that sort of thing. It’s difficult to see the top of it, but when you do, it gives you chills. As you look up, the bottom branches of the other redwoods obscures your view. Then you see more of the top half, and it takes your breath away. Finally, you see it…your eyes were unable to perceive it due to the darker branches hidden from sunlight. The top is brilliantly illuminated by the sun, seemingly a mile away. It’s 380 feet from where you’re standing to the top; very similar to looking up at the emblazoned torch of the Statue of Liberty if she were in the middle of a forest, only add an extra 80 feet. All you can do is stare at it, mouth agape, and gasp. Words escape you when you’re in a place like that

Never realized how EPIC the scientific name for these trees are. The guys who named the really went the extra mile to bestow majesty into their designation.
the one i love is pseudotsuga menziesii, which is a douglas fir tree. it in fact is not a fir, and the latin "pseudotsuga" translates basically to "false hemlock" so it's not a hemlock either. technically it's a type of pine!

Oooh yes you have included the Mountain Ash trees - we have plenty of them down here in Victoria and Tasmania. Some of them have been known to grow over a hundred metres and live for centuries. The Redwoods and Mountain Ash trees are just massive when you see them in person!
That's neat - i'm in western canada and our mountain ash trees don't get all that huge, especially compared to the douglas firs, hemlocks, and cedars that surround them. I think the bigger species just block out too much of the light.
As a member of the Palm Society, even though the effort here is excellent, you chose a small palm species, as the Andes Wax palm grows to way over 200 ft and would dwarf coconuts. It would've been cool to show the African Rhaphis palm ( the source of raffia) where ONE LEAF IS 100 ft! Truly a relic of the dinosaur era!

@@amic.452 The Int'l Palm Society was formed in the early fifties by an astute horticulturist, David Fairchild. There's a wonderful garden in South Florida named for him and stocked full of exotic species of palms from all over the world! Look it up and become a member! They have palm tips on growing ones from over 200 genera.
I became a member for my uncanny obsession with this class of plants at a very young age. Turns out there's thousands of other "palmophiles" throughout the world.
We strive to protect habitats and document the thousands of species that provide food, shelter, textiles and pharmaceuticals. For beauty and diversity palms are amazing plants!

Great video, although a mature 100 metre tall Eucalyptus regnans is much thicker and rougher looking than shown. They have a "stocking" of rough bark on the lower fifth of their height, with smooth bark above that. In dense forests only the top quarter has branches and leaves.

For those who’ve never been there, no pictures or videos of the Redwood forests can do them justice. If you ever get a chance to go, trust me and take it! There is an awe-inspiring feeling to those trees that can only be described as sacred.
Bonus - that bristlecone pine in there is probably several thousand years older than the other trees around it :D

Pequeña aportación: los dragos (dracaena) técnicamente no son árboles sino "hierbas" arbustivas, dado que sus troncos no son leñosos sino herbáceos. No producen lignina en sus troncos y por lo tanto no pueden ser considerados árboles.

Sequoias ...... Fascinating Lifeforms. Planted a Sequoiadendron Giganteum as a Bonsai a year ago. Still doing fine. Maybe my favorite Tree :)
Oak trees are crazy tall, they completely cover all the houses under their canopy and tower 3x higher than even the tallest houses in New England. Feels like everyone is living under a forest when it’s actually suburbia.

You should see the ones in California. The tallest Swiss redwood is 44 meters and the tallest one in California is 115 meters!

Redwoods are so amazing! They grow so high that they can't pull up all the moisture they need from the ground, but they absorb it from the mist in the air on the California coast. They're also amazing at recovering from wildfires.
The one threat that almost destroyed them was human beings. Some people believe that the gold rush saved them, since the aggressive logging halted when the workers all went off to try to get rich, and that gave more farsighted people the chance to preserve some of the forests for the future.

Amazing. Another from Brazil is the araucaria, a common big tree from the south area. It can reach up to 50m in height and has very distinct foliage, very beautiful.

Tasmanian pines have been recorded at 3000 years old and recent discoveries of mountain ashes have been estimated at 112ish meters
I thought there’d be a tree that would span the observable universe. It’s good to watch real stuff size comparison every now and then.
I rarely see comparisons anywhere where it makes sense to compare with the size of a football field, but in this case it makes sense.

Love your videos. There's an 80 foot birch tree in the woods behind me that is about 6 feet around and since they can live hundreds of years Im guessing this one here is at least 80-100 years old. Big trees are cool.
I grew up about 25 miles from where they filmed the Endor scenes in Return of the Jedi. I played alot at the feet of those Redwood trees.
Sabah, Malaysia has the tallest tree in Asia... named Menara (Shorea faguetiana) that has been measured at 100.8 meters/331 feet.
It's also the tallest flowering tree in the world.

I've visited a Redwoods forest in New Zealand and damn they are massive.
Poplars with a height of 55 meters grow in my region. In nature, their height can reach 60 meters.

For the Coast Redwood, it is common for them to be over 100 meters in height, but for every other tree species, they either can’t reach 100 meters in height or it’s rare for them to do so.
You are right that it is common for redwoods to grow more than a hundred meters, but it is very rare for them to grow above 110, while the mountain ash, even though it is shorter overall, has had some exceptional specimens that have grown up to 140 m. Unfortunately all of these have been cut down. The tallest confirmed tree in recorded history was a 139 meter mountain ash in Victoria.
