I was at this show. I have been to countless concerts over the years but this is still the best one I have been to. Because they were recording they had spent almost a week prepping the acoustics before the shows it was crystal clear which is unusual for a metal show.

Metallica is one of the best shows EVER. The only concert to ever top it was Pink Floyd Soldier Field Chicago, 1994 División Bell tour. E.P.I.C.!!!

I was in high school when I first heard of Metallica this was in the mid 80's
    I was 15
This song was one of there first videos that air on MTV when MTV only shows music videos 24/7
I still listen to metallica and other bands like them and all the 80's rock bands
I'm now 51 be 52 next January I even let my hair grow out very long some guys my age doesn't have much hair or short I noticed as I'm a over the road truck driver with my own semi truck there's lot of truck drivers guys that have very long hair of different races

I used to let my hair grow out but started shaving it. Not going bald but just shave it. That’s cool. Still a fan since the 80’s. That’s how I am with some of my favorite music artists. Not very many music artists have music that stand the test of time.

GREAT REACTION MY FRIEND!! METALLICA IS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS DOING TRANSITIONS AND CHANGING TEMPOS. THEY ALWAYS HAVE A MESSAGE, SO TRY TO DO THE LYRICS TOO. I SUGGEST YOU TO REACT TO SOME OF THEIR INSTRUMENTALS SONGS LIKE:
    "THE CALL OF THE KTULU"
    "ORION"
    "TO LIVE IS TO DIE"
TRY THE LIVE VERSIONS, THEY ARE BEASTS PLAYING LIVE AS YOU COULD SEE WITH "ONE".
    WELCOME TO METALLICA'S FAMILY/ARMY 🤘🏼🎶

Yes, music from the '80s and '90s was way different. Especially Hip-Hop and Metal (2 sides of the same coin in terms of messages sent IMO), Both genres were fighting against mainstream everything for relevancy. Now Hip-Hop is the mainstream, and Metal gets respect everywhere but in the U.S. . However thanks to the popularity of reaction channels, respect for both genres and communities are growing.

  • @squall5742
    @squall5742 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

ok, so... first. in metal and rock the instrumental side of the song is the most important part, you can even write a whole song without words and make it tell a story just by the instruments (check out Orion or The Call of Ktulu for these kind of song) that's why the transitions between the differents part of the song as to be perfect, if only one fails, the whole song loses a bit off it's power. second the lyrics, the lyrics here work differently, you could base a song on them or you could write them after the song... even better, you could make an instrument "sing" those lyrics, they go along with the song all the time and if you hear a different transition, a scream, a more singed part ora like in these case a "oh please god help meeeeeeeeea" it's because it has to bring a concept, a feeling or something with it. third and most important, if you want something fast check out Dyers Eve, if you want something melodic check out Nothing Else Matters / Welcome Home (Sanitarium), if you want something heavy check out Sad But True and if you want all of them check out Master Of Puppets / Blackened (89 seattle)

right on. thanks for the analysis. I really like how everything is put together. I say i'm a hip-hop head, but really I'm just a music head in general. I always loved different genre's. Thanks for those suggestions too, I'll be checking them out

This song was made to promote a movie called "Johnny got his Gun" the music video uses from it. The movie is about a young man that was blown up by a mine and lost everything including the abilities to speak, see, and hear but is being kept alive. ~くコ:彡

    Wild Child
There! That oughta keep you busy for a while 😁. Also, be sure to pull up the lyrics when checking out a lot of these tracks, as many of them have deeper meanings within the songs. In addition, it’s usually best to start off with the studio versions, as much of the little nuances get lost in the hype and background noise of live performances. Best of luck on your metal journey. Oh speaking of ‘Journey’
    Check out (By Journey)
    Edge of the Blade
    Chain Reaction
    Frontiers
    --
Now, I wasn’t sure if you had done any other Metallica yet or not. Most reactors have, so I refrained from providing you a list. But if you haven’t, Your viewership will quadruple with the inclusion of these Metallica gems....
    The Four Horsemen
    For whom the Bell Tolls
    Creeping Death
    Fade to Black
    Master of Puppets
    Orion (instrumental)
    Disposable Heroes
    Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
    The Call of Kutulu (instrumental)
And one more note: be sure to pull up the lyrics for each track when analyzing. Many 80s metal songs come with deep meanings or storytelling aspects to them that may not fully be understood or appreciated without taking in the lyrics. Thanks again!!!
