You just reacted to greatest band ever… 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘….to this day The Undisputed Kings of Music 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘…..you have at least 50 Metallica-bangers in front if you that will blow you away…..THIS IS REAL MUSIC, that to this day dominates the World
I’ve seen them about 14-15 times in concert, and I did see them on this tour, the Damaged Justice tour, in 1989. That concert was by far the most energetic and insane Metallica concert I’ve ever seen. I’ve loved every one that I went to, and they’re amazing live no matter when you see them, but there was just something about the 1989 tour that seemed like everything aligned perfectly and they out on the most killer show. What I could possibly attribute it to is the anger from losing Cliff Burton. His death devastated them and they never really took time to mourn properly. They had a new bass player and were back on the Master of Puppets tour in just like 6 weeks after Cliff had died. Then they almost immediately went into the studio to start writing And Justice for All. So maybe it was their anger/grief about Cliff along with being the main act for the first time in an arena setting. On their last tour, they were a supporting band, so the Justice tour was the first tour that they were the headliner. All of that combined to just make them put on an absolute beast of a concert.
Check out Battery and Creeping Death from this same Seattle ‘89 show. Oh and Master of Puppets. This is easily one of the best live shows ever recorded. Edit: Oh and Four Horseman! You really can’t go wrong with this band. First 4 albums are the greatest thrash records ever recorded. Great reaction, man. Megadeth is another good band to check out. Try Holy Wars … Punishment Due or Peace Sells if you’re interested in other bands in the same genre
Oh Lord, where do we start? 1.CLIFF BURTON (Orion, Call of Ktulu, To live is to die, Anesthesia (pulling teeth) 2. The 1992 tour with Guns N Roses and why we cringe when we think about it...whether we were fans at the time or not. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen Canada so angry. It’s Canada! 3. Napster (ooof!) also Lars was right. 4. Why we still love us some Jason Newstead....ok and Dave Mustaine too😂 5. Rob T. An absolute crab walking unit😂 5b. Kirk Hammett🎸🎸🔥🤟🏾🎸 6. Some kind of Monster. (Very eye opening) 7.They’re all boomers and their music is still fire (Lux Aeterna) 8. Moscow 1991 ....yes it really did happen 9. They are the only band in the world to have performed it on every continent in the world in one year.Yes that includes Antarctica 10. S&M 1&2 We’ll be watching your progress🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
This Song is super sad because my dad barely made it out of Vietnam with his brain intact. When he came home he got sober, got custody of us, got remarried, went back to school for his associates and retired in 2012.So many others didn’t
There is nothing quite like a metal concert. I’ve been to well over 200 shows from bars to stadiums and I stand by there is nothing quite like a metal show.
You might also enjoy Master of puppets, Orion, For whom the bell tolls, To live is to die ( R.I.P. Clifford Lee Burton 😞 ), Anesthesia ( pulling teeth )
I don’t know how I missed this!! I LOVE Metallica. Well I lovED Metallica before they sold out. A lot of people would say they sold out on this album because they said they would never do a music video. I don’t like anything after the black album.
Naw, baby. THIS IS MUSIC. No auto tune BS. And Metallica are STILL the ultimate road dogs. FIFTY years later. They reproduced this perfection night after night. Oh, and the bass hits. Lars Ulrich was using dual kick pedals while drumming with both hands. Every beat came from that man.
You are so totally NOT out of your element. You belong to the world of good things, including rock n roll. It might not be part of your prior experience.. but you still belong!
Your talking and weird noises youre making really make a person not want to come back. Not trying to be rude but if youre doing a music video reaction, we must hear the music and hear your reaction AFTER the video or when you pause during the video. And yes, them playing instruments in the concert is the difference between talented musical artists back then and the crap they call music today. Its also why you see such large crowds at rock concerts. The crowd becomes part of the action and appreciate the music being performed before them. All the crap thats put out today is nothing but computer generated junk with no imagination.
I don’t know who recommended this, but this is not a proper introduction to Metallica. “One” is an iconic song, but you need the lyrics and official video to properly appreciate it as a first-time listener. The storyline is much deeper than one can glean from this live performance. If you’re up for giving us viewers a second chance to show you who Metallica really is, please check out Metallica “Enter Sandman”, live in Moscow. The crowd was so big(over 1.5 million), that you can’t see the end of it. It was right after the dissolution of The Soviet Union, so everybody was stoked simply because they were allowed a concert. Even the soldiers on hand were tearing off their uniforms and going wild. The visuals alone are enough to blow anyone’s mind. And the lyrics are clear enough that one doesn’t need captions to understand them. Also, based on other reactions I’ve seen, this is the Metallica video that will draw the most viewers. And for a different recommendation, if you want a bar-heavy Metallica song that you can break down, check out “Master of Puppets” with lyrics. Thanks Khalil.✌
