The people were so friendly and a guy called out, 'Welcome to China!' which we will never forget! 😁 I have heard my Chinese daughter-in-law use '没事儿＇in videos she sends me. My family live in the NE so there is a lot of the 儿 sound! 😁

No. 没关系 is the response to 对不起 only. So you can take it as
lt doesn't matter/ Never mind.
lt's interchangeable with 没事 as the answer to 对不起
没事 can also be the answer to 谢谢 but 没关系 cannot.
