Ohh yes! I had an ex fiancée whom I learned later on was a malignant and abusive narcissist. After he became comfortable and confident in our relationship he would make all kinds of comments which gradually eroded my self esteem and it even created a trauma bond. He was emotionally abusive and had a serious anger problem. I was too young and inexperienced with anything like this to know better. He used to hate ANY idea of me leveling up (physically or professionally), unless I was working a dead-end job that made me miserable. He wanted me unhappy so that HE was always looking good/better than anything else I had going on for myself or what I truly desired. I recall one day he literally yelled at me with “I feel like breaking up with you right now!” as he accused me of flirting with his cousin after I left a simple comment of “Happy Birthday” over Facebook. SMDH. There are SO many things I could write about him that were so messed up. My ex really is a basket case and should be locked up after all the BS he put me through. It’s been years since he left and I’m still not 100% right after all the emotional roller coasters. He’s married to a (and I am not exaggerating when I say this) VERY ugly woman, who I can only assume must have never put up with all the garbage 🗑 I did. Or maybe she does and is happy being his doormat.🤮 Bottom line: I have had to rebuild my self esteem and self worth, which has taken years of my precious time (after that breakup) for me to realize what an abusive, misogynistic monster that ex of mine truly is.

Yes! My ex fiancée used to get strangely insecure on the few occasions when I’d mentioned I may consider a breast enhancement for MYSELF to feel better. He’d make the most obvious remarks like, “If you do that then you’re gonna change,” or “You’re going to get more confident and then you might be weighing out more options.” That told me everything about how insecure certain men are.

He tried once to arrange a phone conversation awhile after he broke up with me because he found me on a Catholic dating site; I had written a few things in my bio that were dealbreakers which he KNEW were referring to himself so it crushed him (those were his own words), and he wanted to discuss it with me. I put him off and never replied. That jerk would need to PAY me just to speak to me now for my time because he robbed 5 years of my life I can’t get back.
