I bought one a few days ago and from what I could tell from reviews on Amazon, it was the best one compared to other telescopic rods. All of the other combos on Amazon had people complaining about the reels.
@@UnseenSpirit I like it, has held up well but I don’t go fishing that often. Kind of annoying extending it and twisting it back into form but I haven’t had an issue yet.
eh good reviews could be paid reviews also. theres one guy post bad reviews about how it couldnt handle light fishing and it kinda raise flag among other "good" reviews
Is there a video out there of somebody who the company didn't send this rod to. I mean every single video I see the company sent them the rod. Has anybody actually bought this thing with their money.
Great rod mine arrived a couple weeks ago and I’ve had time to really try it out I’ve fished saltwater for redfish and freshwater for bass. It’s been really great. I’m traveling to california soon and plan on bringing it with me
I bought one 2 years ago and it works very well. I live in Hawaii and caught a lot of fish on it. The reel isn't nothing special but the pole is legit.
This was a good video for me, because I'm just starting up in fishing in the future for backcountry camping, and was actually looking at he quadrakast rod, but for trout or bass, it looks like this is the rod for me
I travel a ton and don't always take the boat this be great, what's funny is went to a friends wedding and rolled up with the boat and people are stunned I am like I am going to a part of the contry I never fished I am bring the boat y'all lol!
Hey there! I’m new to telescopic rods, but how do the telescopic rods work when you open them, do they lock into place? I’ve always used two piece rods so this is a new concept to me.
It's a friction lock just like a 2 piece, only moving in the other direction. The pieces are slightly tapered, and they swell at the base of each piece. The base of the inner section wedges into the tip of the outer section from the inside. Don't sling it open, though. The last piece is thin, so if it gets stuck open it becomes really hard to close without breaking.
I cant speak to this one but my amazon telescoping rod is not good for steady retrieves. I dont use spinners often but it does translate a jerky motion to the bait when retrieving. Soft, live, crank, and jerk baits work well. Just something to be aware of.
Great review! Been lookin and I'm pretty convinced. Not sure if you've already have, but I'd love to see a review on a "Emmrod" travel pole... Thanks!!!
Haven't actually fished, like for real since I was a kid so I was checking this out to maybe take on a bike to some local spots. Glad to know my instincts are still right 20 years later and if it doesn't make that sound, she's no good. 🤣
I bought one and it's smooth, I see the reel is supposed yo he interchangeable, have you messed with it or any advise? I have not been able to switch it to the left side
Braided, braided, braided. Did I mention Braided? LOL , just decide what lb. to load on it. Another nice thing about braided, higher strength vs. thickness.
80$? Nah ill spend a extra 20$ an get a penn battle 3 combo breaks down in 2 pieces lol. I was expecting that to be between 40$ to 60$ . 80$ is way to much for that
@freddyj5845 multiple things. First, despite people saying the reel is nice, it definitely feels cheap and after casting o have to crank pretty hard to get it to start reeling. Wondering if that'll loosen up. Feels like it has to break a detent before it'll start to reel. Secondly if you put on a leader and then you collapsed it down the leader is too long to attach to the bait keeper. I'm worried the metal swivel will scratch the reel when in my bag. So I'll buy a velcro strap to hold the leader in place tight to the rod... but in all the company vids or demos the bait is tied right to the hook. So it only hooks up to the bait keeper without a leader. With a leader, once collapsed the leader stops at the metal eyelet and then it hangs below the bait keeper so the leader flops around. It's minor, buy it pisses me off that it doesn't just collapse and snug up perfectly like they show cuz there's no leader on in their pics or vids when it's collapsed which feels a bit deceitful. Also knowing this will be thrown in bags...that stupid wood accent has chipped almost immediately. Why not just make that the hard foam?

Any good?

@@SurfsUpSeth Thanks for the quick. I'm currently looking for a telescopic rod
@@SurfsUpSeth just doing some research on YT asking people. Sometimes reviews are fake on Amazon

I bought a different one that was pretty good

Great review bro. I think I will definitely look into getting one. Perfect for that impulse fishing moments
LMBO @ impulse. There is water and nobody is lookin' for me- I have an impulse!
Been looking for a collapsible fishing rod to put in my backpack when I take my motorcycle out to go fishing

would like to see a followup on this video. how's it holding up?
Don't expect a response

Bro won me over when he balanced it on his first try like nothing 😂
So nice! I'm gonna order this one and go fishing here in the philippines
The KastKing Blackhawk II is king on the telescopics!
Found this video because I am looking at getting the "Quantum telescopic reel" and I know they make good reels so I'm tempted to try the rod 🤔
Trout? Or is it too big? Looking for something to take on motorcycle camping trips but mostly fish for trout.
Nice little light weight reel
I want this so bad, but I can't get it in Europe. It's not available on Amazon and their webshop doesn't ship to Europe.
Did you do any more videos with this rod and do you still recommend it?
the website says use 10-15lb line, so how did 40lb line hold up?
The only reason why I bought this rod is so I can put it in a bucket and ride around with my quad from lake to lake Pond to pond and fish
Good review, like the the rod you reviewed. I may consider it too.
bro the key to keeping the opening and closing action is wd40 after every use the ones i have never get stuck
Hi which one do you recommend between the Kingswell or Plusinno? Thanks
It's not. Mine broke on day 1 and their CX team won't respond to my emails. Cool rod (I think) but their customer support is terrible.
Great review! Been lookin and I'm pretty convinced. Not sure if you've already have, but I'd love to see a review on a "Emmrod" travel pole... Thanks!!!
Just get a good one without a reel and put a good reel on it, itll be great.
