I re-bolsetred my dc2 recaros seats years ago grabbed them dirt cheap and made an order from capital seating, once done they felt brand new still got them and they still feel tight 😊 Enjoying the diy build mate its a change from the usual honda stuff I watch.
I enjoy all of your videos Adam, you are such a normal and decent bloke. I still chuckle at the early oil change video when you made a right mess. You deserve every success.
I said a few months ago that I wish the cosworth build videos were abit longer you seem to have done that. Now I wish you did daily uploads 😉 you are a great guy to watch and learn from and very down to earth. 👍🏻
Have done similar on old golf GTi and 205 GTI… I’ve even used normal wash sponge to repair a small defect in the foam that I’ve then held into place with gaffa tape before slipping the bolster cover back over. That’s a cheaper option for a minor repair and works really well if it don’t warrant a full bolster. I agree, it appears daunting at first but just needs patience and a brew to stop and rethink if you get stuck 👍
done my RX8 seats up got new leather cut to size on the worn part at the side. Was a nightmare on the finger tips but only took a day and cost like £30 all in. I still have an RX8 as a track whip and i bought a spare set of electric front leather seats the full black ones with the nicer grade of leather and i put them in my boat. I used to have Sierra seats in the fishing boat but they rotted out after 15yr at sea and on lochs. Newer seats from German cars would last about 15 months tbh
I’ve got a vax platinum pro that the brush bar failed on ad, the hand attachment works perfectly though, if you’re passing Telford any time and you want it for free let me know 👍
What you saved in labour offset the guy who robbed ypu for 95 quid for 2 bits of foam lol. I went to trimmer a few years ago granted and charged me 75 to redp inc labour and he shaped foam himself
jeez mate😂 put some hose or tape over your needle nosers. Now your cloth is crinkle cut with oily stripes. I know you barely see they bits but if you're doing a vid mate do a clean job. You took that Diesel exchange heater vid down yet? That was out of control that one. "a hairdryer" hahahahaha yeah a 4.5kwh hair dryer. Love you mate
Hi Adam . Come on man get a bit of cardboard on the floor to so you don't scuff things up . I've done the seat foam on my 4x4 saff, its got leather so even more need for the card
I don't even need to fix my recaro seats but knowledge is power. Thanks for posting.
You must have saved yourself thousands doing everything yourself Adam! Fair play mate, always do a decent job too 👍

It’s not going to break. Unless you’ve had some big fat Umper Lumpers in your car. 🤣🤣

@@Adam151082 👍🏽
Great job, but next time a bit of cloth around the pliers before you pull on the delicate fabric of your seat.
If ya not a girl your have no trouble. Classic . 👍 love the channel. Keep up the great content.
Nice T shirt mate , lol , good job on the seat

Another awesome vid I wish ya was changing the centres 😂😂 I need recover my own rs recaros in the r5 just front centre sections
Hi Adam , do you know if they supply foam for an XR3i vertually the same seat but the bolsters arnt as big , great job by the way 👍
I’ve got a vax platinum pro that the brush bar failed on ad, the hand attachment works perfectly though, if you’re passing Telford any time and you want it for free let me know 👍
I like how you felt the other bolster at the end 🤣🤣🤣
I think Paul’s top gave you the confidence to the job matey 👍🏻
made him much sexier for sure , lol
Great video Adam 👍🏻 need to do the same on my recaro LS. Did you get the foam from capital seating ?
No mate. The foam is from Classic-trim on eBay
Easy once you know how !
What you saved in labour offset the guy who robbed ypu for 95 quid for 2 bits of foam lol.
I went to trimmer a few years ago granted and charged me 75 to redp inc labour and he shaped foam himself
Yep definitely Cosworth tax on that foam!😀😀
Done the same job on me astra gte 16v. So much better
Afternoon Adam
Is that a genuine Rolex submariner
Haha....................could have cleaned your needle noses first! Massive improvement on the seat!
Big fat umpa lumpas LMFAO!!!
Some people will probably say stuff about using those oily pliers on the cloth - I not saying anything about it😁
I wonder 🤔 how much seat trimmers charge for this, a lot I'm guessing.
First step , something on the floor 😂my ocd is kicking in seeing the cloth touching the floor 😂well done tho good works again
It's on a old rug from our living room. It just blends in with the floor.
If you look you’ll notice it
@@Adam151082 😂😂thanks for letting me know I needs my eyes testing 😂😁
@@Adam151082 OMG i never noticed it was a rug i thought it ws the garage floor 😆
Can you do my sofa Adam ???
First
Second
Don't use oily needle nose pliers mate. Look at the oil residue you have left on the seat cover!
the seat looks like it’s sank so you could replace that to
Should have give your Mrs the seat covers to wash..
jeez mate😂 put some hose or tape over your needle nosers. Now your cloth is crinkle cut with oily stripes. I know you barely see they bits but if you're doing a vid mate do a clean job. Hope there's no overweight girls watching this episode! 😮😅
I bet you wouldnt let a 20 stone person sit in there now aha..
I was like that in the 90's with my cosworths
You will never see a fat bird in a cossie ever again!! 😅
next time use clean tools...now u got grease on the seatcover
Using oily pliers not the greatest idea to pull material over foam..
There's always one......or two ! Cheer up lads....you still got washing in ya dryer !
Bet your the type of person to bath the cat before you poke it
Bit of Dr Beckman will sort that out, no big deal at all.
Cleaned and looking new 😊👌🏼
Bolstered
Hi Adam . Come on man get a bit of cardboard on the floor to so you don't scuff things up . I've done the seat foam on my 4x4 saff, its got leather so even more need for the card
What?
Cover the new foam in cling film ,the fabric cover will glide over a piece of piss
£99 for 2 bits of foam
