@@amonrei yeah! And imagine while playing gran turismo. And I saw on the internet some pictures of recaro bucket seat like turn into an office chair. I don't think recaro made that but it looks awesome!

i've been looking at changing my seats for ages, always wanted to go with the ergonomic version of the recaro seats, I'm glad to see a reputable review of these seats and an indepepth review of all the other really cool seats! thanks for always making great content jdm masters and congrats on 100k subscribers!
don't most the time it don't worth it.. since getting new car that come with nice seat and some new part need still better getting new seat for the car that so old it need new seat... if you build a race whatever go for it..

old 70/80's recaros used to be so easy and cheap to pick up, hard to find now.
Review all the things! My favorite videos are the ones like these and the car reviews. You really get into the nitty gritty details and the history and I could just watch HOURS of this stuff.
This is a great channel. I'm so glad I found it many moons ago. A man who is about the culture and describes all these great Japanese car sport products well.
Have the 80s style Recaro seats, and I can agree, that they aged pretty well, after 30+ years, they're still very comfy and supportive, even the electronics work well.
Where can we find the seat at 6:20 in the US... Sporster GK210...I've never seen that seat with heat, power and lumbar support.

In the mid eighties, I installed a pair of Recaro LX seats in my 240Z. The seatbase front cushion pulls out to extend the depth of the seat. I still love the seats to this day! One of the best mods that I have done to the Z!

Those Recaro Ergo offer insanely timeless comfort. I remember these seats are also stock in the old 1st gen Honda CRX, and are very hard to come by.

I would even prefer them over the new Recaro Gaming seats.

Everytime you go into one of these stores it's just CRAZY! I feel like we do not have anything like it in the US. People in the US just buy a car and drive it being lucky if they even think of changing the oil. It seems from what you show us it is much more common in Japan for people to modify and care for there car. There is one store near me that you can get say a motor from a Skyline, buy guages, seats and such but it is tiny. It is maybe 2000sf in size. It's a much smaller market in the US even though we have a large population and over all more cars on the road.

A pair of red Pole Positions are my dream seats.
Nice video, might be the only one that goes through so many versions of Recaro’s offerings. It’s a shame they discontinued the TS-G, it is still. One the best seats i have, and still own, to this day. It’s perfect for MX-5s and S2000s
The cheapest ergo recaros were my favorite although old and dated lol or style DC!
It is good that such a video exists.
Builder generally don't do such kind of vids, and it's sad, because, as a consumer, you would want to be able to have an explaination of all seat models and how they differ between each other.
After this I went to ebay and marketplace searching for Recaro's 😂
That race spec bucket reminds me of go-kart racing. Very spartan for the most part, but this one looks very practical.

Some Japanese company released a pair of $55,000 limited edition seats about 15 years ago. They had a blue cammo color pattern and were available only for the WRX STi.

I had a Recaro Pole Position I got for a great deal from Germany. Red with white logo. It is a comfy bucket but did not hold me well enough for track days. I found myself wishing for more thigh support. It is wide on the front and side bolsters are low making it a better street bucket.

Just watched the whole video, i just subscribed! also, interesting to see the (formerly known as recaro njoy) "ortho" still being produced, they were oem seats for a lot of small jdm cars like evo 1, or mirage.

Nice video :) I have the SP-G from the civic ep3 premier edition (or the JDM ep3) on my civic ep2 and there are very nice but like you said they need a little bit of more support but they are very beutifull with the alcantara and cloth combination in black and red colors and they are very confortable too :)

I have watched this video a long time ago and now when revisiting it I noticed: you kindof look like that guy in Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift in the beginning scene in the car garage that was tuning Milas car where she says "I don't need a computer to tell me about my throttle response".
Ya real nice review, You took the time and spent it well. Think about how much time you spend in traffic. Some of those seats are good in traffic, some are cause you push the car up on the trailer so you don't tweek the clutch, some of those they already have the helicopter spooled up and waiting after you visit at the podium and champaign pray down. so nice very nice

Hi Captain! Curious, what is your waist size? I'm looking to purchase the RS-GS seat and concerned about how tight it may be. I'm not big but my waist is 32" with being 5'-7" and 160 pounds. You look like a very slim build and yet look quite snug in the RS=G. Thank you! And, also, glad to see your videos coming in again. All the best from Canada!

Real race buckets are terrible for 24hrs/day use. I put in a Cobra Susuka Pro fit. It is the most uncomfortable thing on the road but once I hit the track, boy, that thing holds me like a glove.
