Man alive, I'd love some of your fabric scraps and crumbs to play with. They're so colourful and fun! Love your videos. Can't wait for more Crumb block videos.
I am binging went back to beginning. I am drooling. I love random but your videos are awesome. The way you are putting together gives me so many new ideas to try thank you for these looking forward to next one
I’m so glad you’ve made another crumb video. I’m only interested in sewing crumbs, I guess it’s because there’s really no rules. Anyway I enjoy watching you sew your crumbs. And I also enjoy looking through your stash of crumb pieces and how you dote on each little piece. Your other crumb videos I have watched over and over and I’m sure I’ll watch this one too. I love crumb sewing just that much!!!!
Thanks Nora. I love watching other people quilt when I am taking a break for a few days. We’re starting another heat wave here in British Columbia. We hide inside with the AC going, but I just don’t feel like sitting at my sewing machine.
I cannot curate my crumbs when I use them, it’s just grab and stitch whichever piece I pick up. Otherwise I get the urge to put them all in the fireplace. Nora, I actually felt some anxiety watching you thoughtfully select each crumb 🤣🤣🤣
I organize my scraps in color bins. All greens go together, that way when selecting at random it always turns out coordinated and aesthetically appealing.
I enjoy crumb quilting it is so freeing and no rules. I keep mine in a 5 drawer rolling cart that I bought at Michael’s allowing me to roll it anywhere. However it is getting stuffed with pieces. I must admit mine are a bit larger than your crumbs but again there are no rules, it is just fun to do no matter what size you choose. It is also a fun way to use my singer featherweight
that is what i want to do a few crumb quilts my problem is what goes with what piece should i close my eye and pick lol from Newfoundland Canada i guess i could do a crumb quilt for babies
I love that crumb quilting can be done in so many different ways! I tried doing the random method in episode 2 and I did like it except for a few exceptions. Happy crumbing!
No, Im not using a fabric foundation but that is another way to do crumb quilting. In the end, this will be a quilt top and I will quilt it with a backing and layer of batting in between. Thanks for watching Connie!
It says “Romenta” on the side of the iron. It’s normal sized but may have looked mini on video. It’s not a great iron, doesn’t get hot enough and not heavy enough for my liking. If you come across an iron you love please let me know.
Hi, Nora! I was excited to see another video. FYI...I watch a Canadian TH-camr Quilter named Steven Brand. On his videos he highlights channels he likes. YOURS was the one he mentioned last week His channel name is The Idiot Quilter. He's quite charming.
OMG- I can’t believe it! I watch his channel regularly but somehow missed that video. I just went and watched it. I was smiling so big during his review. Thanks for pointing me to it, I never would have known!
@@mostlyquilts1386 I tend to recycle yarn from thrift store ugly sweaters that would go to a landfill somewhere ( started out a knitter) but love quilts too much to not consider making them too. Waste not want not

Your comment brings me so much joy Connie! Thanks for watching!
You just give me some good ideas! Thank you !😀🧵
Love your videos. You're straight to the point from the beginning.
Thanks so much Jacqueline! I appreciate you watching!
I love crumb piecing! Such fun to do! AND I HAVE THE SAME WATERMELON FABRIC!!!! That is so awesome! LOL Thank you for posting and sharing this video!

I agree, crumb piecing is just the best! Thanks for watching!
loving these crumb videos. so much fun! 🦋

The heat is so crazy! I have no AC, so I’m pouring all my sweat into crumb quilting… literally. 😂
Kelley, I’ve watched your crumb video several times too!!!! Love love it!!!!

I love how people scrap quilt in different ways, it always seems to come back to what method brings the quilter most peace. Happy crumbing!

I love crumbing with you. You're kinda like a sophisticated Darlene Michaud!
Love it
Your fabric scraps/crumbs are cute. I like that airplane print.
Thanks Romona, I like the airplane too, a sophisticated youth print I think!
I just made my self a crumb quilt and I love it! It’s really random but I love it so much !
That’s awesome! How long did it take you to make the quilt? I’m finding the crumb quilting to take a lot of time, but worth it!
I love these. I usually don’t use anything under 1.5”.
Ya, under 1.5 seems a bit stressful!

A five drawer rolling cart sounds divine! If there’s one think I like more than scrap quilting, it’s scrap organizing!

I personally think it would be more pleasing if you stay in a color scheme. Total randomness is a bit chaotic and unnerving.
Love your videos
Love to use up my scraps 💛
Yay!!!!
I’m such a random crumb quilter. Any colour goes. Though I do light squares together. Eventually I want to make a HST quilt out of crumb blocks.
I do my crumb quilt blocks pretty randomly too.
I love that crumb quilting can be done in so many different ways! I tried doing the random method in episode 2 and I did like it except for a few exceptions. Happy crumbing!
That's my plan, too. HSTs with crumb blocks and a solid
💗💗💗
Maybe I’m too picky, but I find the tiny pieces to be too small for my arthritic fingers to handle , so I just toss them. Your blocks are beautiful.
Hi. Hello. Howdy. Thank you for sharing. Do you attach the fabrics to a backing? Just curious.
No, Im not using a fabric foundation but that is another way to do crumb quilting. In the end, this will be a quilt top and I will quilt it with a backing and layer of batting in between. Thanks for watching Connie!
How do you do it if you don’t have now crumb pieces
What brand name is your mini iron? It looks like my stroke hand would be able to handle one like that.
It says “Romenta” on the side of the iron. It’s normal sized but may have looked mini on video. It’s not a great iron, doesn’t get hot enough and not heavy enough for my liking. If you come across an iron you love please let me know.

if only i could send you a couple of pictures of my crumb and string illision quilt
That sounds awesome!
Doesn't matter the size...no rules plus you are making something out of what most people throw away....
Yes! Exactly.
Scrap vs crumb....eh that doesn't matter to me. What I came for was to learn a way to create a new thing out of typically "wasted pieces"
Love making something beautiful out of trash!

i would not fussy cut crumbs.
Love to use up my scraps💛
